The end of the world...how do you think it will end?

I'm not a doomsday believer. I don't believe the world will end in 2012 "but" it is an interesting thing to think about. The end of civilized man as we know it, how will it happen? I believe these three scenarios are the most likely.

1). Nuculer war
2). Sickness or biological war fair.
3). Resource exaustion via over population

Either way I think we will destroy ouselves in the end. What do you think?

Almost, but not quite. All of the forum servers in the world will overload and burn out from the number of doomsday threads. It'll be like a snowball effect. The power surge will meltdown all the world's nuclear power plants and we'll all be plunged back into the stone age to die.

On the plus side, we shall all eat the ice cream in one big party, as it is the most perishable and precious of foods.

OP: You must have misstyped the title, because the end of humanity will not even be close to the end of the world.

The end of the world, Earth, itself will probably be in 2 billion years when it explodes violently, as celestial bodies are prone to do.

However, the end of human life will probably be from disease or starvation, as overpopulation means many mouths to feed and many bacteria/viruses chances to grow and spread.

The planet has proven that it can sustain itself quite easily with no life at all on it, which may surprise our unimaginably large human egos.

Hopefully humans will have gained enough insight to not start another damn war, and we'll all die peacefully, coughing up blood while we starve to death. In conclusion, your second two options are more likely.

Supernova? Seriously? The Sun doesn't have enough mass for any kind of Supernova event. Instead, the Earth will (likely) be incinerated by the Sun [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun#Life_cycle] when it reaches its red-giant phase.
