Edit: If you haven't, I should probably tell you why.

I'm replaying the first DMC game atm and both of my only 2 deaths so far have been because of that thing. Stupid self destruct grab attack.
Sounds about right, I remember having more trouble with those bastards than any boss.

For pure unadulterated rage: Mad Mike Borderlands 2. The area you fight him in doesn't give you a lot of room to move. He has a LOT of health for that point in the game. He's carrying a big freaking rocket launcher that can easily send you falling to your death. He's carrying a big ballistic shield that protects him from nearly all frontal assault. Have fun.

For annoyance factor: Wolves in Dragon's Dogma. FAR from the most dangerous things in the game but they seem to be EVERYWHERE. I just fought off a freaking Chimera that somehow blindsided me. I'm nearly dead. My pawns yell out "Wolves Master!" Of course there's wolves! There's ALWAYS wolves!

That reminds me of another dreaded enemy in terms of annoyance, wolf packs in Assassin's Creed 3. Failing only one QTE just to dodge one wolf's attack results in your health being cut in half.

Dear goodness did I crap myself when Gracious and Glorious appeared, they're insanely fast and dodging their attacks doesn't even activate the much needed witch mode leaving you with only your reflexes to rely on. Combine that with the fact that you have to stay unharmed to reach Pure Platinum rank and you've got an absolutely nerve wrecking fight.

Threshers from Borderlands 2. Those little motherfuckers can all go die in a fire.
I'll throw in another vote for skeletons from Dark Souls. Skeleton, I've proven literally 5 times in a row that I'm a more capable warrior than you. Why is a divine weapon the only thing that can persuade you to drop your grievances?

When you hear that chainsaw revving in the distance, you'd best be a good shot at a distance, because you cannot let him near you.

I know she's kind of a cheap jump scare a lot of the time, but:

I freely admit that I don't finish the majority of FPS games that I start because I'm no good at them and/or I get bored of them. While both of those things were true for F.E.A.R, the main reason I never finished playing it was yes, the game (and Alma in particular) scared the shit out of me.
