Morgue

Slindis made her way to the morgue with Teri, Melethia, and the body when she saw David and Caim sprinting there. [color=c20000]"Watch it, I'm trying to carry Preacher to get him cleaned up before we send him off!"[/color] The door to the morgue was opened and the scene there was more than a bit awkward as Slindis put the body on one of the preparation tables next to jenny, and the dead man's outfit was charred from the lightning strikes.

"Um, miss, what are you?" Melethia looked at Jenny in curiosity, trying to make it a bit less awkward. Whatever the thing was, it was about her height. Maybe it was around her age too? She stifled a yawn as she tried to perform a checkup on the thing. Jenny could see that the girl'd had a hectic day from her torn-up tunic revealing the chain shirt underneath with two clear holes and multiple indented areas from bullets the shirt had deflected.

Morgue

Teri gave a little wave to her comrades, and followed after Slindis, sorrow still filling her despite the miraculous return of Jenny. A death and a rebirth in one day? Surely this couldn't just be coincidence...

Disregarding such thoughts, Teri busied her mind in her with the preperation of the Preacher's body. Angelus, realizing what had happened, ushered the re-birthing party away from the two Healers. Even she knew that the dead deserved their due.

"Come on, let's get to the Canteen. I'm certain all of us will want something to eat or drink after this long day..."

AI: Dimitri | Vermilion

The flirtatious atmosphere between the two AIs was broken when David had called in the Shuttles and news of the Preacher's death rolled in. Thus, the duo set to work making sure the Airship ran smoothly as all the Users arrived. Naturally, Dimitri was on the lookout for his Madam in particular; as he had not seen nor heard of her in some time... However, when he saw the vital signs appear on screen for the Cleric (which included Mental scans) his delicate brows creased, [color=318CE7]

Airship Rising Dawn - Hangar Deck:

Tajuh looked at the ring and ushered Mark over to a table in the Hangar, taking a seat as he placed the ring between the two. "This has to do with why the man's on edge? He's fairly simple to read, and something happened between the two." The way he said it, it was more of him confirming suspicions rather than finding out what had happened.

Devon | Ella | Kyre | Teri

He helped the Succubus over to an unoccupied room that wasn't too far from there, making sure to take it easy for the succubus as he guided her to the bed. "Ella, please tell me what's the big grudge between you and your father. I know he may not have been the best man, but he was the one that had me get you out of Hell. I've put a lot of trust in you so far, so could you put some trust in me here? I've nothing to gain with that, and we are going to be working together." Devon was clearly concerned for his unorthodox ally, and above all he wanted to hold some faith in Lucifer's words about Ella not being suited for Hell.

Slindis finished cleaning up the body of the man with help from Teri and sat the Cleric down. [color=c20000]"Teri, would you like to start the training in here or in my room? As I told you earlier, it won't have any physical components, and I would rather not have anyone intruding."[/color] She knew that Ella's words earlier had likely hit Teri where it hurt with the way she barely held herself together.

Angelus and Caim were pleased to see their child and his pact partner doing well, Angelus especially. She hadn't seen the duo since she delivered Riki and Kud to the safety of the Rising Dawn. With a deep smile, the dragoness embraced all involved: her son, her pact partner, and Ton Ton, and with a contented sigh, breathed; "Ah, it is good to be all together again..."

Caim couldn't help but to bask in this moment a little, but then wrestled his way out of the grip so he could get ahold of some toast already cooking in the toaster. The dragon chuckled lightly, as she knew that the Rising Dawn was under new management; and management was looking out for User needs moreso than the older ones... Perhaps it was the butler of the duo who made sure of that.?

Airship Rising Dawn - Morgue:

Teri looked at her Master, and softly said, [color=0E59E4]

There wasn't much point in hiding it anymore; despite what the Cleric had tried to do. Ella's words had cut her to the core; and emphasized every little insecurity and doubt she had about herself thus far. It was funny how cruel people could be, and be completely unaware that one's jeers meant far more than intended. Sure, Teri knew that Ella meant to demoralize her, but the way she hit the nails completely on the head was alarming. Was she aware of things she had said, done even? The way she figured her out was alarming to the young Cleric, and Teri wasn't entirely sure if her footing would remain stable for long.

Airship Rising Dawn - Network: A.I. Vermilion | Dmitri

Dimitri let out a sigh of relief when he saw that Teri had made her way safely from Ella; and gave a quick status report to Vermilion, [color=3897E0]

"User: Slindis has taken The Madam under her wing again. Cease the cautionary protocols until further notice. Otherwise, the Canteen is already being prepped to receive the bulk of The Rising Dawn's arrivals."

He shook his head at the author's hypothesis. "If that was the case, would she not inform him herself of her intentions? Even with such a rocky relationship, one doesn't run at the drop of a pin. Something may have happened to drive a wedge between the two in that forest, Mark." Tajuh still wasn't too fond of the man's arrogant attitude, but he was fairly useful to bounce ideas against and point out small flaws that he missed.

He nodded at the succubus' explanation. "I hear ya. After all, if it weren't for my grandfather, I wouldn't have had a male figure in my life, either. It's impossible for me to talk about the man in much detail myself, but keep this in mind: out of all the people in hell that he could have had me take out, you were that person." Since Ella was still fairly pale from the injury, he put a hand on her shoulder and did a minor transfer of his blood over to her so she would have some more stamina even if it put the two at about the same level, and Ella could feel the transfer.

"Ella, could you make me a promise? When it's just the two of us, just be yourself. Forget everything that Agehea forced on you, forget what you learned in hell, and learn to relax. You do that, and I'll be there for you every step of the way." In that moment, Devon didn't really care what Ella was as he sat on the bed next to her.

After taking her student to her personal room, Slindis closed the door and showed Teri the bed as she took a seat and sternly looked her in the eye. [color=c20000]"Now for the thing I've needed to bring up with you since we entered the temple: your habit of repressing and ignoring your emotions. Don't deny it, Teri: I've seen it and done it too much in my time to not know it. So, you can tell me yourself in complete confidence that these words will never leave the room and start working through them that way. The alternative is having me pick it apart and tell you what you're repressing. In either case, it will come out today, and like all of my lessons, this is mandatory."[/color]

She knew her student wouldn't like this, which is why she had ensured her chair was in between Teri and the exit. However, this needed to happen for her student's own health and well-being.

At the mentioning of a rumor regarding their relationship, the duo did as they did best: neither confirmed nor denied anything. It was much more fun this way; and the duo had a shared opinion that they wanted to take things slow and steady.

Angelus, upon taking a bite into some ham, laughed, swallowed, and said, "My word, not even five minutes on this ship and the rumor wheel is working against us. Caim, I cannot help but feel as if we're being targeted specifically for such slander. What ever should we do?"

Caim had the convenience of a machine to speak for him, and did so as toast was going down his gullet,

"Rumors will be rumors, dragon. Let them plot and plunder all they want. In the end, they don't have any proof of these stories. Even eyewitnesses could be false...

Speaking of... I do recall you said we could continue our discussion from those woods when there was a quieter time, yes?"

Ah, plots indeed. The duo were well versed in the art of hiding their true intentions under a cover of dialogue, whilst having the true conversation in the 'voice' of pact partners,

"That I did. Where are you getting at?"

The warrior smirked as he sipped his coffee, "I think that discussion was an important one and does not need to be tabled for too long. Perhaps after things have died down a little; and Jenny is back on her feet properly, we could continue it in a privacy that does not require us to do this?"

Another swallow, and a contented sigh, and the dragon gave a small nod for an answer, and helped herself to another piece of meat.

As for the Cutie Bruisers, they watched the duo make this subtle exchange without spoken words (but did not hear the private channel between the duo) and wondered if they too could pull off something in a similar light the further their pact grew.

However, the line of questioning via Succubus left Ton Ton confused, [color=15650D]"What are you guys talking about anyway? What rumors?"[/color]

Ah, there it was; A smile! Dimitri felt his poise go slack for a moment, and then, with a flustered huff; went back to processing whatever it was he was doing... Ah yes, Canteen work! Right... As he typed, he said, [color=3897E0]

"I don't know what you're talking about. I've been fine this whole time. Yes, I'll admit that being shot at and seeing Mr. Bernstein tear someone in half wasn't pleasant; but I'll get over it. Jake wearily returned the salute to Aftan before replying. "Yeah Knights, killed a few. Gun is underpowered, but my sword works just fine. I think it needs a name, I feel right whenever I have to use it to protect people rather than outright kill. Or I need to talk to it somehow...But I digress, I need a friggin' drink. Then a sleep."

Nodding, they all headed off to the Canteen.

Jake sat in silence, downing alcohol quickly, his larger glass never empty yet he never seeming to drink heavily. "Does anybody realize we left a drugged and probably pissed of Rugal in the Hanger bay shuttle? Ah Fuck it. Who cares. I need some sleep... And I've always wanted to try that comfy couch Akane has always sat in. Well, if I fall asleep in it, leave me there, Teri stole me room heh heh heh." Jake said quietly.

Akane whistled at Angelus and Caim's rumor, giving a wink and nothing more. She was waiting for the Succubus' response to it all whilst sipping her sake. Something was bothering her about Aftan, especially since her words in the forest.

Slindis stood up with a disappointed look in her eyes and pointed to the bed. [color=c20000]"Teri. I know you're hiding a lot more. It's evident in the way you act, whether it's the glazed over eyes or the complete zoning out when you fight. What you're doing isn't healthy, and we need to talk about it, now. So sit down and allow me to work this through with you."[/color] She put a gentle yet firm hand on Teri's shoulder, clearly indicating that she wasn't going to let her pupil leave so easily.

[color=c20000]"First off, let's break down the fact that you try to ignore your emotions altogether to be some healing construct. It's an attempt to distance yourself from what happens because if you mess up, you can go ahead and say that it wasn't your fault. Just that mask of yours that you put on for that purpose."[/color] Her eyes locked with Teri's, meeting hers in a piercing stare.

Akane laughed as Kurumu dug herself into her hole and Puce pushed the ladder in after her. She turned her attention back to her Knights and Jake. "Aftan love, what is the matter? You seem pensive... Speak your mind love. Was it because I freaked out and broke and couldn't save you..." Her head dropped as she said that.

"Guess I wasn't the only one to break then... I'm sorry I wasn't there to help. You girls want some space? *YAWN*"

It was Caim's turn to start coughing on a drink. However, this was due to Caim laughing too hard to properly drink anymore. Shaking with each silent gasp; he leaned over the table to properly stabalize himself, but it didn't really help. Angelus gave him a few slaps on the back until the Swordsman held a hand up telling her to stop. The dragon could only cover her face as she too smirked from the tale, "And there we are... Congratulations, Kurumu, you may be the closest thing that has attempted to slay my Pact Partner; and accidentally at that!"

Naturally, knowing the full truth (and still having something of a childlike mind outside of battle), Ton Ton spoke up to correct the silly succubus, [color=15650D]"Oh, you mean that! Oh nothing happened, except that Mr. Caim was fighting some lady who was making him mad and then Ms. Angelus showed up and the lady who made Mr. Caim angry left because, well, I dunno! And then their faces got really close, but when a bunch of people showed up; they got weird too, and nothing happened... Kinda disappointing really. Me and Cadolbolg were kind of hoping that- Oh."[/color]

That was when the Tonberry realized he had spilled the beans (sort of) about the incident with Ella; and the pact partners were now scooching a little further from each other than usual; both of them suddenly becoming VERY engrossed in their food.

Feeling a little bad, Ton Ton returned to the question addressed to him by Puce, [color=15650D]"But yeah, me and Cadolbolg are pact partners now! We'll kick lots of butt; trust me!"[/color]

Airship Rising Dawn - Crew Quarters:

Lucifer | Slindis | Teri

Teri's eyes widened in confusion when she saw that the Devil himself had waltzed into their room and sat down next to her. Was it something she did?

[color=0E59E4]"The necklace..? Well shit, I accidentally summoned Lucifer into a room. Or I'm going crazy. I think I'll opt for the later."[/color]

It was then she remembered that her teacher was waiting on a response from her, and she spoke up, [color=0E59E4]

"That's not... Well, [u]entirely[/u] true. If anything, it's the opposite of what you say. I don't let people know how I feel because it's a burden. There's too much important stuff going on! It's exactly what that succubus said earlier! I-.... My emotions aren't worth it, so I bury them. I'm fine that way. I don't need them, and people don't need to hear about them. I just need to write in a journal or something..."

He sighed, then looked at Ella with a weak attempt at a smile. "You're asking a lot here, but since you're gonna follow through on your part, I may as well say. That... was what my mom used to call me. I couldn't stand the mentioning of her for half a decade, but we fixed our relationship last summer. Heck, I was there with her when my older sister was finally married. But October rolled around and I was working one night when every person I knew just vanished off the face of the planet. Even stuff like online sites or companies I'd worked for weren't there any more." From the way his voice wavered, it clearly wasn't easy remembering what had happened and it sunk in that besides the people on the ship and maybe Lucifer, Devon had nobody left on the planet.

She heard Teri's talk and kept her eyes locked on her pupil's, making sure that her message got across on this next layer of this issue. [color=c20000]"What you're telling me is that you're not secure and that you're not worth worrying about with that statement. Let me make this clear: we are all here to support each other, and every person on this ship has worth. This does not mean that you have to bear the burdens for this whole group, and I can guarantee you that there's no person I'd rather have alongside me if things got rough. Teri, do you want to know what I see every time I look at you?[/color]

Port Hub.

In the Blackhawke all off the electricity started to waver and began to turn to black. Everyone knew that their lord and master is back. Most of the leaders of the ship ran to the teleport hub where a black blinding light shone and faded away to only see D.Tomoya holding his spartan friend whom was bleeding out on the floor. "What the fuck are you looking at, CALL A DAMN MEDIC TEAM!!!" Tomoya screamed across the ship.

An hour later.

After Storm was put through the emergency medical room and was currently being operated on. D.Tomoya was on the bridge of the giant ship, looking over a sun sized ball of electricity outside the ship. Co-Commander Shepard walked up to the D.Archangel whom was holding a small glass of whiskey. "What should we do Commander?" The Co-Commander said in a concerning tone, except the response he got was only a laugh. "We burn it... we burn it all!" Tomoya said with a smile on his face.

"But-" Was the only word until the glass cracked which D.Tomoya was leaning on. The intensest dark aura came from the Dark Angel. "WE DESTROY EVERYTHING!" Tomoya said as the ball of electricity outside exploded. "Calm down..." Said a strange voice, Tomoya turned around to see that Co-mmander (Get it) Shepard was replace by a person dressed in a gray cloak and hood. "Oh... it's you." Tomoya huffed as he returned his gaze outside, for a split second he returned to his original and good form.

"I do agree with you... everything on that planet must burn for hurting your friend... and me. Hehe He started to laugh but was gone in a few seconds. "As you wish..." Tomoya smiled as he sat down into his seat to make an announcement to his fleet.

Soon the entire fleet entered a single portal like gate, which led straight to Earth.
A couple of seconds later, the gigantic Amerada of Dark Angel Ships were beside the moon.
"Lets spill some blood... "
A singular part of the fleet moved towards the South Asia part of the world.
When it position it began to launch it's main beam cannons at each country in the continent.

"I hear there will also be a talk about me in DC tomorrow... I guess I should show up since I'm the guest of honor." Tomoya smiled as he watched the world which began to burn.

[HEADING=1]Chapter 3: Scrub and Wash.[/HEADING]

As the couple returned to their own room on the now sleepy Rising Dawn, they both immediately fell on the bed. The two didn't know how everyone else could do this almost every single day of their lives here. "Ha... some day we had." Riki muttered as he got up once more and placed the large briefcase he held onto the bed and placed the smaller box which contained the stone next to it.

"I wonder how this will beat him?" Kud wondered as she held the box which contained the stone. "The reason we are here is to beat him... which I guess that will help... but when David said about weaponizing it... " Riki wondered about but Kud disagreed with the idea. "Nhhh, we can't let that happen." Kud said as he took a small look inside the box but closed it quickly due to the amount of light.

"Agreed... Shaun gave us the position of guarding the stone until everything is over... one way or another." Riki said and quickly frowned about the thought of "what if" Tomoya won. The world would be in flames and everyone would be dead. He might even move on to Hell of Heaven.

Shaking the thoughts of evil from his mind, Riki quickly chucked the two briefcases into Tomoya's own vault which Kud reprogrammed earlier. "Should be safe in there... until the group needs it." Riki said confidently as he re-equipped his pistol belt. "The most important thing now is that we train... so we won't be a liability for everyone!" Riki said as he made a fist. "Yesu, let's save everyone!" Kud said as she raised her fist in the air. The two then began to walk to the armory/dojo.

Akane gave Aftan a quick hug, her hands returning to her sake glass as she reflected on her own thoughts. 'I hope we can get this over with quickly... I can't stand this anymore. I just want to run away with Gabrielle and Aftan and never see any of this again... Is this true love? To want to run so no harm comes upon my loves? Or should I get stronger to defend them so no harm can get to them?'

Jake nodded at Aftan, the sake finally making it's presence known. He at least felt a bit better, warmer definitely from the wine. "No coffee for me, can't stand the taste of it. Love the smell though. Eh, I should really clean my sword then catch some shut eye someplace. 2 hours of sleep over 48 hours sucks. I gotta find a new room too, Teri claimed mine. I'll ping the AI pair, they should be able to tell me which ones are empty now."

He pulled out his PC and sent a quick message to Vermillion asking about rooms, not wanting to disturb Dmitri and Teri, for once.
"Aww crap, I'll have to check on Teri in the mornin' and apologise for ignoring her saying 'G'day' in the battle..." he said dejectedly.

Searching through a pouch he pulled a small kit out and placed it on the table, along with a tightly rolled small towel. He drew his sword and placed it gently upon the unrolled towel, taking up a rag and wiping off the worst of the Angel blood. He started singing a tune softly to himself as he worked, cleaning and oiling the sword. He neglected to run the whetstone over it, it was still sharp and the edge unspoiled despite the fighting done that day.

Jenny
After her "re-birth", Jenny followed Angelus and co into the Canteen to warm up, still shivering from her time in the fridge.
She tried to think back to what happened, but it was all a blur once she got to the part where the bullets started flying.
Then a horrible thought came to mind, what if the bullets were still in her body?
Also, she had no idea how long she was "Dead", what about Blade? Hiryu?
*ACHOO!*
and on top of all that, she now had a cold.

Once they got to the Canteen, She went to the restroom to try and calm herself, just she was dead, but yet there was nothing.
All her psychic power, yet nothing, no afterlife, no golden gates.
Or maybe there was and she couldn't remember it?
She thought in circles for some time until another shiver kicked in and she went to get something warm.
Settling on some piping hot soup, she somewhat shakeably sat down along with the others, getting as close to the heater as possible.
"Hello a-again. Been some time, h-hasn't it?..." she greeted everyone, still rather pale from dying.

"JENNY!" came the high pitched squeal/shout from the Kitsune. Akane launched herself at Jenny and only just caught herself before she wrapped the pokemon in a Tacklehug of epic proportions.

"How?! You were dead... But I don't sense you being a ghost! You're alive! This is just mindblowing!" Akane babbled, happy yet close to tears as she twisted a tail in her hands, looking awkward as she stood there trying not to hug Jenny.

Jenny was startled before she realized who it was.
"...Its okay, y-you can hug m-" she went to say, causing the Kitsune to instantly resume her hug attack.
Once she had her prey locked on, it then became clear just how cold she really was in contrast to her constantly warm body.
"I d-don't know what hap-ppened. I j-ust woke up in the Morgue. God, it was so c-cold..." she explained as the pair of them sat down, Akane keeping an iron grip on the Gardevoir.
"J-just how long was I....."dead"? she asked as she enjoyed her friends warmth.

Akane wrapped Jenny up in her tails, the big fluffy warm weapons making a golden mink coat that completely covered her and held her tight against the Kitsune's hug, only her head poking out the top. Akane was careful to regulate her own temperature so as not to cook the pokemon, or even thaw her out too quickly and give her a fever. She knew from personal experience one winter as a young pup when she had found a lost fox pup and tried her best to save it from a cold, giving it a fever instead. But the pup had lived through it with help from Akane's mother.

Jake smiled at the commotion caused by Jenny's return. He wouldn't bother their re-union and he wasn't needed for now, so he stayed quiet. His job finished, he returned his now clean sword to it's sheath and packed away his cleaning kit. His PC hadn't yet beeped but he was dead tired. Silently getting up, he walked over to the couch favoured by Akane and sank into it, reveling in it's softness. Jake's head touched the cool window for but a moment as he gazed out into the empty skies before he spread out upon the couch. A single yawn and he fell asleep, a relieved look upon his face.

"So, you really did it this time didn't you?" Fionn was siting opposite where The Preacher's body rested, bottle of scotch in hand. "Wonder what's worse, your death or having to organize the funeral eh? the humor drained from his face, he didn't appear to be sad at all, just blank. He put his hand up to his chin, thinking to himself. Crazy bastard must have done something while he was here....... Fionn knew he wouldn't have died like that or left unless he had done something to assist the situation here.

He grabbed a glass and poured one drink "Here's to the worst teacher in the world, ya daft bastard. You're probably laughing at me right now aren't you?" He finished the glass and walked back down the hallway back to the canteen. Yep, he's laughing at me.

Jenny sighed with comfort as she snuggled within her "Coat", Akane feeling her warm up as she did.
"m-Much...Better...ahhh..." she sighed blissfully, having forgotten how warm and soft her tails were as the Knights started talking about their deaths.
"...Well...while I was...I didn't see anything. No golden gates, no hellfire. should I be worried?" She asked Aftan, who seemed to be more experienced out of the lot of him.
Then it hit her: Jack!
"....Ummm...Akane?...Does Jack know I'm...Alive?...and...would he have to fix that?..."
