"Hmm, I'll up the drink now. Got any root beer?"

"Responsible drinker, aren't we?" Shara teased playfully as she opened the bottle and placed it on the counter. She was beginning to find the soldier's naivety endearing. "You have to be a master of coincidence, we just had this stuff brought in!" Having served Storm, she turned back to Fionn to resume the conversation of exposition.

"Well, apart from the settlements on the sky continents, nothing has really changed." Shara was slightly impressed, fifteen years went by and nothing of real mention had happened. Fionn could only knock another shot back. "Nice to know I left the boring years. Knowing my luck a massive upheaval or crisis will happen with me stuck in the middle of it." Shara grinned, "Come on, you love it" ".....Well, yeah." The two laughed as she poured a shot for himself.

The Chocobo let out another "Kweh!", completely oblivious to the conversation between the two.

Blacksmith

The Dragon smith noticed Angelus's approach, giving her a look that acknowledged her but also conveyed his focus on his current task. He had a Winchester Rifle disassembled to inspect the parts for which was caused the rifle to send the bullet off at 60 degrees, killing a chicken. "Good afternoon madame. Do you need anything? Or want to buy something?" He maintained his friendly, almost gentle tone, but it was clear he was looking to focus on his work.

Ton Ton shook his head with shock, "Ride it?! Oh no, you mistake me, Ms. Jenny! I only meant pet it, like you do now! If Chocobos exist here, there's a high probability my kind might exist too; and unfriendly ones at that... I don't want to scare it."

He sighed faintly, "I would like to, it looks really fuzzy.... You can do mental stuff right? Would you be so kind as to try to ask permission for me? I really don't mean any harm; I just wanna touch a feather..."

Angelus nodded in a similar respect, and spoke, "I am afraid I am not in wont for anything material at the moment, so I will not try not to keep you and make this quick. I am looking for simple information. In my travels, I have not noted many dragon coinciding with human societies. Thus, I am curious. Is such a friendly concordance common in this realm, or is your business an outlier? Do you know of the state of dragonkind around here? Are there many? Few?"

Name: David Scryer Ashworth

Age: 17

Race: Human

Origin: Avoiding Detention... TO HELL! (defunct RP)

Title: Junior Student at Thenardier's Boarding School For The Extraordinarily Normal

Clothing: His casual clothes are a pair of navy blue jeans, a long-sleeve button-up white shirt, and faded black dress shoes.

Appearance: David stands at a height of 6'0. He has curly, dull black hair, dark brown eyes framed in half-rim prescription glasses, and mildly pale skin. The bottom of his eyes are fairly baggy due to him staying up late reading.

Weapons:
-A snub-nosed .38 pistol with 12 additional bullets which David received from the school (students are allowed weapons in, due to the particular nature of the school)

-A hunting bowie knife, as well as an assortment of throwing knives, both were given to him by his father. Mr. Ashworth was quite fond of the knives, having used them to hunt game, by manipulating them after having thrown them. David, however, doesn't share this sentiment and avoids using them whenever he can. He has been quite successful so far, though that may change soon...

Items:
-A silver amulet with the Ashworth family crest, passed down the Ashworths for many generations. A small clear crystal is embedded in it's center. If held, one can feel a quiet buzz reverberate inside of their head.

-A bookbag, containing various novels and texts. He keeps his knives in there as well, in a large hollow book which his father made. However, said book was one of David's favorites, and he was quite devastated with the loss of it's contents.

Personality: David is a very kind person, but you wouldn't know that unless you actually talk to him. Unfortunately, many people tend to avoid him, due to his disconcerting appearance, or just ignoring him altogether because of how quiet he is. He is prone to bouts of rage when too much stress is piled upon him. When he is engaged in conversation, he speaks very quickly and quietly, causing most people to misinterpret what he's saying, or just miss what he says completely. He shows a great love for literature, spending most of his time in his school library. Since he started going to Thernadiers, he has been emulating the various personae of characters from the many books he reads. He tends to take on the more "cocky, heroic" roles, though he does dabble in others. He considers it a bad habit.

Backstory: David was born into a rich family. But the Ashworths aren't your typical, haughty and pompous rich family. No, the Ashworths are quite (in)famous for it's psychics. Every first-born in the Ashworth family had shown incredible mental abilities including, but not limited to: telepathy, telekinesis, levitation, mind control, etc. However, this didn't seem to be the case with David. He showed none of the amazing powers of his predecessors before him.
His parents, being extremely proud of their heritage, were not pleased. They tried everything they could to get David's powers to surface, but none of them worked. Whenever they weren't forcing him to partake in various mental exercises and tests, he holed himself inside the family library, reading whatever it had to offer, and blocking out any social contact. Of course, this had the adverse effect of making him rather awkward in dealings with others.
In a last ditch effort to get David's powers to show, they sent him to Thenardier's Boarding School For The Extraordinarily Normal, in hope of unlocking his true potential. So far, there have been no success, though he has been making progress with his social skills.

Powers/Skills:
-He is indeed a psychic, but these abilities are still in their latent stage.

-Being taught by his father, he is greatly skilled at the use of a knives, both for close combat situations and thrown, as well as using mind powers to gain more of an edge in their use (though he is unable to perform the latter with his lack of psychic ability). However, he'd rather not use them to begin with, and avoid fighting altogether.

-He is a mildly skilled pugilist, having practiced it as an alternative to his lack of psychic abilities. He is also much more likely to resort to this as opposed to his knives.

Weakness:
-Poor in most social situations.

-As mentioned above, he has yet to access these mind powers of his.

-Doesn't handle well under stress.

"EEEEEEK!YOU DAMN PERVERT! SOMEONE HELP!"

"What? What th-Uwaaaahh!!"

A woman's shriek was heard above in the second level of the saloon, in one of the guest rooms.
A bespectacled young man came barreling out of the room backwards, shielding his head from an onslaught of various beauty products with a large bookbag. He slammed into the wooden railing.

"I'm sorry! I didn't do anything!"

The railing began to creak as the young man leaned further and further back, until completely giving away. He crashed down on one of the tables below which was, thankfully, vacant of any bargoers. The contents of his bag spilled everywhere, with books littering the floor around him. "Urgh..."

Jenny seemed uncertain when Ton Ton asked her to ask the Chocobo permission to pet it.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think I can. Most beings like these have less intelligence then you or I. Delving into it's mind would be a useless gesture, All I would be able to hear is "WARK!"" she said as the Chocobo looked at her.
"...Mmmm...Still...I don't think It'd mind. Go on ahead." She said as he walked to it's side and kept saying "It's okay, It's okay." in a attempt to keep it calm and prevent it from acting out.

After paying Devon, Slindis was soon joined by Rugal.
"I see you and Devon have buried the Hatchet..." He started as he took a seat next to the Drow.
"From what I've gathered thus far, most places here don't even have running water, Can smell them from a mile away. I don't know how the hell we are going to get the parts to get out of here and back home. Hopefully the AI's will come up with something, they usually do." He explained their current situation before declining a drink.
"Guess we are stuck here for a while...Could be worse, Could be in Evergreen..."

David (West)

After the massive scene that the student made before falling down from the floor above, David was one of the first to help him up.
"Alright, people, Show's over!" He said, hoping to spare the guy some embarrassment as he helped him up.
"Well, That just happened, care to explain yourself, Mister?..."

The student shook the stars out of his head and looked at the man who helped him up. He gave him a weak reply. "...David. My name's David. And I don't kn-" He hissed in pain and gripped his right arm. It seemed that the landing ended up spraining it. "Ow... Ah! My stuff!"

David broke away from the man's grip, question forgotten, and knelt down on the floor. He began gathering all of his books with his good arm in a frantic pace, muttering to himself.

"David, Eh? Names the same, David West, at your service." He introduced himself as he picked up all the books and laid them on the counter next to the Student.
"Didn't expect to find a Student around here, what with the Cowboys and everything. Still didn't answer my question, any reason why you were thrown out of that lady's room and onto the ground?" He asked as took a drink of his water, starting to counteract the massively strong drink he consumed earier.

Slindis ordered a coffee and had a drink of it as she talked to Rugal. "The man has made a great deal of effort to be useful since he arrived here, and it takes a strength in character for someone to leave their fate in the hands of someone they've caused a great deal of pain. At any point in time, he could have just fled to the safety of his home, but even with all that happened, he made it through. Could you ignore that kind of effort?"

After the comment about them being unwashed, Slindis finished her drink and laughed. "Really? This smell bothers you? Rugal, you haven't been without bathing for a week in your life, haven't you? If this light smell offends you, it's going to get far worse for you. Honestly, this is nothing, and these people are actually fairly clean."

Upon seeing the extremely out of Place student, she excused herself and put a hand on the student's shoulder. "You're only going to end up hurting yourself if you keep moving around with that sprain. Let me take care of that." After chanting a small spell, the student found the sprain on his right arm healed.

Gunsmoke: Outskirts

Devon took a look at the sky and tried to place exactly where he knew the scenery. After all, it felt familiar and the heat didn't bother him all that much. So why didn't he know where he'd been around this before? It was incredibly annoying just because it was something he felt he should know!

West, David

David stared at West, a bit dumbstruck.

"...Cowboys? Lady's room What in the world are you talking about? I was just sitting in class. I have no idea where I am now, or how I got here."

Of course, if David had been paying attention to the lecture instead of having his nose buried in a book, he'd know that their teacher, Mr. Thehn was talking about wormholes that lead to alternate dimensions. During the lecture, he provided a little demonstration to the class in the form of a large device that performed just that.
Having noticed David's lack of attentiveness, Mr. Thehn aimed the device at him to suck up his book, as a little joke. As luck would have it, Mr. Gregor, Professor of Applied Mysticism and disciplinarian, slammed the room door wide open, startling the teacher. This threw off his aim a bit, and David got sucked in, along with almost all of his things, and plopping him in an alternate universe, in a Western saloon, in the lady's room.

David looked around examined his surroundings, pointedly keeping his gaze away from the other patrons, until a hand was on his shoulder, nearly leaping out of the chair in surprise.

"You're only going to end up hurting yourself if you keep moving around with that sprain. Let me take care of that."

Before the student could reply, a warmth spread down his arm, and within a few seconds, his sprain was miraculously healed. He turned his head and looked at her nervously. He lowered his head slightly, mumbling a thank you.

Rugal shook his head after Slindis's comments.
"Slin, I have you know I once went a year without bathing before I came into wealth. It's not a desirable feeling!" He said before realizing it was a self defeating argument.
"...My point is I'm betting this realm is at least another century away from making the first microchip, so god only knows when they'll have the level of technology that we can use to repair the ship!" He added, showing that spending the rest of his life in this town wasn't high on his priorities, not with all his former servants mucking around back home.

West"....Well.....That isn't weird at all..." West said, somewhat confused as to what the hell David was on about.
"Well....It's safe to say you aren't there anymore, kid." He said, wondering to let him in on the fact that like him, He also just arrived in this Realm.

As the trio contained to pet the chocobo, a man approached the stable to check up on him. "Never seen a Chocobo eh?" He found the group fawning over the creature to be adorable. "I'm guessing y'all have never been anyway near the outlands." He opened the stable to check if the chocobo was alright, as he always did. "Yeah, he's fine. Guess its time then." He hopped on the creature then closed the stable, making sure he hadn't left anything behind.

After the Chocobo left the stable, Ton Ton noticed a few feathers fluttering to the ground, and hurried to pick them up. Giving them a light pet, the little creature beamed and showed the others his find,

"Lookie here! I bet the Mistress would love these!"

He hugged them lightly, careful not to crush them, "I'll take good care of them till then..."

That's when the idea struck the Tonberry, "Miss Melethia, do you suppose you could make a necklace out of one of these?"

After asking this, Ton Ton noticed Jenny's gaze taking a steely look, and wondered what was going through the Pokemon's mind...

As Devon passed the Cleric, Teri gave her friend a little wave, and called out,

"Hey there Mister Rock Star! I heard the crowd you were gathering in the bar. Must have really knocked them dead, eh?"

From her tone, Devon could tell Teri was in a jovial mood, no doubt on account of the reappearance of Lucifer, but she seemed... Distracted? Almost as if she was trying to get her mind off of something. Then again, the Cleric wasn't really one for hiding things. Comes with being honest; one could assume.

"So, I overheard there was some troubles recently. Mind explaining some of them?" In this kind of hub, there would always be some kind of trouble going on. Finding out what kind of trouble it was now would make it easier to know how they should take the situation from here.

He turned to Teri and shrugged. "They certainly seemed to like it, but that could have been the massive amounts of alcohol in their bodies as well. Something on your mind here?" Although the man was still annoyed with how he couldn't find out why the desert felt so familiar to him, he decided to brush that away to see if he could hear Teri out.

Ton Ton nodded gleefully, "Yup! Just one of them though. I want to give the other one to the Mistress. She'd be psyched to found Chocobos exist somewhere. If you'd like, I could get more for you and Miss Jenny...."

Gunsmoke: Outskirts

"They certainly seemed to like it, but that could have been the massive amounts of alcohol in their bodies as well. Something on your mind here?"

The Cleric rolled her eyes and gave Devon a playful shove on the shoulder, "Oh come off it! I heard you playing Metallica for Pete's Sake! Did you know that some of the band can't even play their parts anymore? You got some real talent, man."

However her shoulders remained saggy and she gave a soft sigh. As much as she wanted to keep her troubles to herself, she thought of the Shadow that had risen from saying nothing. She shifted around a little, and rubbed her arms with discomfort, clearly having trouble spitting it out. (Wasn't it hot enough? Jeez, she always seemed to be cold.)

Waving Devon a bit closer, she spoke in a quiet tone, "I hate to talk about this, especially to you; as I hate to stress you anymore than necessary, but if you really want me too... Well, I'm just worried about Mum and Dad, er, I mean, Ms. Slindis and Mr. Bernstein. I know they have every reason to be, but I just can't shake the feeling that they're furious at me. I'm just scared to be around them now.... Mu- Er, Ms. Slindis already threatened to bite my head off, and Mr. Bernstein... Oh Jesus. You didn't hear it up close, but the way he poured out his fury in his words... The last time I saw him that angry, I was about to lose my life."

She shuddered at the memory of their confrontation in the Corrupted Forest, remembering what happened when she was rushed headlong by the King of Fighters. She still wasn't sure what caused him to stop him from cutting her throat that day. Even if Viscus was the conductor for that symphony of misunderstanding, the vision of being charged was still a terrifying one.

Shara was finishing talking to Fionn as Slindis asked her question. She began scratching her head, recalling what had happened over the week. "No, not much going on around here. Well, except for town ravaged by a near unstoppable army of bandits and thieves since their sheriff was killed, the bizarre series of murders of officials and rich folk over the past few months, and all the treasure hunters showing up out of nowhere".

She waited to see which of the events Slindis was interested in. Wonder if this lot can actually do something for that town, Fionn'll will be at least dumb enough to try to take it back by himself.......

"Don't you know what happens to chocobos when they're old enough?" He then turned and rode off to the back of a shop on the main road. He was now puzzled on the strangeness of the new arrivals to the town, and given the usual folk that turn up n the town.....

She is regularly beaten by him, when he vents his rage and uses her for target practice with the rest of his monsters. Soul is all she knows, so she listens to him unwavering... for now.

I'm heading to bed after this poast, so don't drag my girl into anything you want to continue now.

Esia walked into the bar. She had heard some commotion before and decided to follow rugal into the saloon after a while. Sitting in Rugal's general area, she chose a table in the corner, in the dark and just sat down. After a few minutes, she got up and walked over to rugal, handing him his coat back. "Thank you for letting me use it, i'll try to get something in town to cover myself." she said and went back over to the corner she had sat in.

Truth be told, she didn't have any form of currency, so she'd need to find a way to make a bit of cash quickly. Maybe she could fight someone, she was damn good at taking a beating.

Storm sighed as he finished his Root Beer in a matter of seconds.
A loud satisfied gasp left the Spartan's mouth as he placed the bottle back onto the counter.
" Miss, if you be willing ... please give my bill to that man over there." Storm said as he pointed to Rugal before he got up and left.

Though one table caught his attention. It was a card table and from the many Wild West movies had seen, Storm knew that these people would be the ones to cause trouble. Smiling he started to walk towards the table, he had played Blackjack for a long time and it would be nice if he got some money over here. But then he noticed it ... a violin case one of the people had below the table.

Licking his lips Storm was going to try and win that violin. "That guy is going to end up without a violin in a second." He said with a light chuckle before reaching the table. He had plan to make the man bet his own violin and win it over.
