Reimu turned to Dillon, BM and then Drek. "What was all that about?" she asked, before focusing on the turret again. The helicopter went back up to the same height as the others.
"Careful now," Drek warned. "Now there's people down there you really don't want to shoot. Don't fire unless you're certain you'll hit a Wanderer. And that's almost never a certainty."
"In that case..." Reimu trailed off at the end, before motioning for someone else to take the turret and diving out the open window. Dillon called something through his phone's loudspeaker, but she didn't notice much. It felt good to be flying again. Finally landing on the ground with Tux and Ardoris, she told them, "Thought you could use the help." Then she looked at their targets, still fast approaching. "Still four on three...but I've never cared much for odds. Not after beating gods, anyway." Somehow levitating her focusing charms in front of her, she pulled her stick into a defensive position and waited for the battle to start.

The 'focusing charms' are basically a translation of a game mechanic: while using the 'focus' key, Reimu (or whoever the current character is) moves more slowly, but her damage hitbox becomes visible. In this context, it basically means that until the charms are broken, Reimu won't be hurt if something like a sword or a bolt of magic hits her. But they're pretty damn fragile...
