The Escapist Avatar Adventure: An Open RP (Now Re-Opened!)

Dillon gave a smug grin
"climb? as if, That's for people who can't do this."
Suddenly white wings appeared on Dillon's back, the feathers looked like light tightly compacted together, while static crackled and sparked along the wings.
Dillon then flew up to the open rift.
"Oh Boy time streams, lets hope I don't kill my ancestors by mistake."
With that Dillon flew directly inside, the time stream did not strip him of any powers but once he was on the other side he removed his wings, he didn't want anyone thinking he was a shabbily dressed angel.
once this happened he used the connection he shared with Tomoya (AKA the fact that he had his power.) to find the town where Youmu and Tomoya were heading to.

Dillon does have the same level of lightning power as before but he's less likely to use it, now that he's not trying to be an evil guy. Though I might bring back the electric beetles eventually just for fun.
also instead of evil black lightening it'll be a light blue mixed witgh a light blast (Mirroring the ego and super ego) maybe if Dillon were to get really pissed the black lighting would appear but that's a joke I'm saving for later.

Back at Angel's Rest: Present Day
Rugal's men where setting up a small base of operations at the Gateway.
"KEEP IT MOVING. EVERY SECOND IS ONE THAT TOMOYA COULD BE REWRITING!" Rugal ordered.
A few of his men walked over with a weakened and battered Goenitz in tow.
"Get Tech unit to rig the Angel up to the Gateway, That should give us enough power to track which time-age Tomoya is in." he said to them.

What if Rugal was to send himself 1 year BEFORE the time you guys are in and spend it taking over the region that your in?, becoming it's ruler, interfering with the Heroes attempts to stop Akasumi.
Akasumi would still be the Big Bad, but it might help pad this arc out, instead of "Go here, Fight bad guy, end", let me know what ya think.

Akasumi entered the Royal palace, the following precession was trailed by miles. any one could easily follow it.The snake rose up infront of the Royal Family, The Emperor, his wife.

Rugal's men had finished setting up all the gear that He needed to perform Time-Travel.
"Sir!, we are almost operational, We just need to attain the needed data for your jump."
"Ok, just hurry, I think I might have been followed" Rugal replied.

Snake princess? Youmu thought. Why would the villagers think that was a good omen? She turned to where the mile-long procession was. Well, clearly every village from here back to Gensokyo believes she's their saviour. But if that's the case...why would she be going to that palace? I didn't think the Emperor was that corrupt, from the stories from outside I heard...

Turning to the others, she told them of her misgivings. "I get the feeling someone is about to stage an unnecessary revolution," she finished. "We have to go find out who this 'snake princess' is, and if possible keep her off the Emperor until we know what he's like..."

 

[Moros]

When Tiberius appeared in the castle he saw that no one was around. "Guess that means I'm done here. Hopefully I won't have to come back to this dimension for anything," he said as he snapped his fingers. Suddenly a familiar white cube rose out of the ground engulfing him completely. just as quickly as it appeared it just as quickly disappeared taking Tiberius with it to his own dimension.

In the past
Matt had no idea where he was anymore. One moment he was flying above a mountain in his wing-pack when he was suddenly engulfed by a bright light. When the light faded, he was flying above a field. As he flew around a little bit more, he spotted a group heading for a village. Matt quickly detached from his wing-pack and used his Icarus landing system to land in front of them. "Hey can you tell me wher- oh, fancy meeting you guys here. Anyway can you tell me where the hell I am?" he asked when he realized he was talking to Tomoya and the others.

Angel's Rest: Present Day
"Sir, we have tracked the Readings to Japan in the year 1623, your orders?"
Rugal paused for a moment "1600's?!...heheheh...hahahahaha...AHAHAAHHAAA!!!, Set the destination for "Reijingugisu no ie" (House of the Raging Geese) and get me some weapon spec's, preferably in Japanese"
"Sir!, yes!, sir!"
A plan was forming in Rugal's mind.

A few Hours Later
"Sir, we are ready!"
Rugal had finished prepping himself for what lay ahead, stuffing some blueprints into his jacket.
He turned to the wired up Goenitz.
"Brace yourself..." He chuckled to the near death Angel.
The lab techs powered up the machines rigged up to the Gateway.
Cries of pain from Goenitz filled the air.
A small rift opened.
Rugal Smiled and took a long run up to the rift, jumping into it.

House of the Raging Geese, Japan, 1623
Infamous Warlord Geese was about to start training his students in his own brand of Martial Arts when a bright light arose in his chambers.

"What magic is this?!" he stated in surprise.
Rugal landed in front of the confused Master and gave him a evil grin.
Instinctively, Geese used his trademark move "REPUKKEN!"
Rugal chuckled and responded:"REPUKKEN!"
The two shockwaves hit, destroying each other.
Geese was shocked at anyone using his Secret Technique "Who are you?!!
Rugal replied "Rugal Bernstein..." He entered a combat stance "...Your new king..."

Red stared at the gate in front of him and laughed, "It's been a long time hasn't it? Eh Truth-kun?"

"Whatever you say," the silhouette answered, "So what do you want."

"What makes you think that I want something?" Red put his hands behind his head and wandered out into the infinite white plane in front of him, whistling as he did.

"When do you don't want something?"

"Well fair enough then," Red turned around and sat down on the ground with his legs crossed he propped his head up with his arm, "I need passage to a specific person. I figured the Gates of Truth could do that."

"And you will give what in return?"

Red blinked, "What?"


"What will you give in return for passage? Nothing's free after all."

"I have to pay to walk around here?"

"Well, equivilant exchange and all that."

"Actually his gate is over there, I'll just go pry it open," Red stood up and started walking again, "Thanks anyway!"

"... What the hell is with that guy. Is he an alchemist or not?"

Tomoya suddenly doubled in pain and nearly dropped to the floor. Something in his chest was trying to tear it's way out. Suddenly a pillar of light struck Tomoya and Red appeared in a puff of red lightning. He thumbed his hat, "Sorry about that. Your gate was a bit small to fit through! Try eating more."

Severin was a bit put off by the sudden arrival of the Red Mage, but he didn't care.

"I need to speak with the Emperor, something big is going to happen to Japan very, very soon," Severin said to the other three, "I don't know where you people are from, but this is dire," Sev finished and went to give Tomoya a handshake.

"Name's Severin, The Grand Elementalist of Europe," Severin was confused by Tomoya's befuddled expression. He then realized that he went to shake with his right hand, which was no longer represented on his body. He quickly shook Tomoya's hand with his left.

"Sorry bout that, got into a little scrape a while ago," Severin chuckled to himself. There was a hint of despair, and Tomoya caught onto it.

"What is it exactly you need from The Emperor?" Youmu asked, crossing her arms. Severin pulled out a gyroscope and started to work on it, clicking his tongue.

"I need to tell him they're coming, and he should prepare for it," Severin said darkly, placing the gyroscope next to his stump.

Akasumi was sitting calmly atop the snake. she could now feel all of the different energies burst into the time.

The Emperor spoke first. "What have you come here for, 'snake Princess'." He said, not phased at all by the giant white snake, eye level and in font of him.

"I am here to serve you and help the empire survive." Akasumi said and took a deep bow.


"Why should i accept you into the royal palace?" he replied.


"I can protect the empire from her enemies and i can protect you." she said still in the bow.

"Then rise and prove your worth to live."

Akasumi rose out of the bow and nodded. She began the chain of hand signs, mostly appearing ceremonial to the civilians and even those versed in martial arts.

The crowd and even the king was shocked when she finished.
"Fire style: Fire dragon Jutsu!" Out of a large ceremonial fire, a great fire dragon emerged. It moved and curled up around the snake.

"You are welcomed into the Royal Family and my guard." The Emperor said.

A loud cheer was let out that could could be heard from miles around.

Akasumi was led to her new quarters and the snake and dragon disappeared.

Spoiler: Arc idea

My original idea was based on the assumption that Akasumi would entirely usurp power from the ruling family. Since this hasn't happened (yet) I've had to make changes in a couple of places. Here's the (revised) gist of it:

The Emperor, of course, has kids to carry on his lineage. They're also important to the current timeline; unless a child of the current Emperor replaces him, consequences will never be the same. And one of them has misgivings about Akasumi. When the heroes eventually reach the palace, he comes out and tells them about this, and they help him escape.

Eventually one of the servants notices he's gone, and the Emperor sends out search parties (and eventually warriors) to find him. Of course, once they're all back together, Akasumi can really start messing with time, meaning the heroes have something else to do while finding the strength to uncover her plot proper and put a stop to it.

And don't worry; the prince isn't as stupid as most escort mission buddies. Sound good?

EDIT: The changes don't affect the main characters because travelling through time gives you immunity to ripple effects, to prevent the Grandfather Paradox or similar stuff.

I was thinking something else was going to come and serve as the main villain, not Severin nor Akasumi, but a threat known only to the timer period. Think about it.

Red Mage turned around and apologized to Tomoya, but he was not there or around them, he was gone.

Meanwhile Tomoya was in the middle of the village crowd, How the hell did I get here? Tomoya wondered, before he went into the crowd he stole some of the time period's clothing and a straw hat. He was walking in the crowd and a sudden cheer was heard, Tomoya then questioned a nearby villager in Japanese, "(Hey mister, what's happening?)" he asked the man, "(The snake Princess is here and protecting the royal family!!!)" He yelled at Tomoya before turning around to cheer some more, "Snake princess", who is this person, I'll guess I should find out and probably repair the rip as well, Tomoya thought with a sigh.

Tomoya remembered why he walked away from the group and left them alone, it was to get away from them, so he can blend in more, he didn't mind some people though, but for now he will blend in with the crowd.
