As the group from Dead Air started to run into the hallway, Youmu stayed behind. "What's wrong?" Hiryu asked her.
"There's another group coming, and I'm not sure how long they'll be," she explained. "If I'm not here, they might get cut off, or run into someone they shouldn't..."
"You can't defend this room any more with the door gone!"
"And whose fault is it that the door's gone?"
"Your cause won't protect you if you don't get out of here!" Hiryu left without waiting for an answer. Youmu still didn't follow him.
Shit...What do I do now? Slowly turning around, it suddenly struck her.
The computer needed co-ordinates for the four zones it's connected to. She ran back to it, checking what was there for the first group. Remembering to move a sixth teleporter to that zone so she could leave as well, she put the co-ordinates into the 'outgoing' box.
TRANSPORTATION READY
PLEASE ENTER TELEPORTER
Before she had time to tell herself it was a bad idea, she stepped into the teleporter and, within an instant, disappeared from the room. The headache and unconsciousness didn't follow her entrance this time.
In its place, though, was chaos. Everywhere there was noise, flashing lights, everything moving around. All she could make out was someone from another room, calling out to something next to her. She grabbed at it and started indiscriminately slicing ahead to clear a path. Whatever it was she was dragging, it was heavy, and as soon as she was in the other room she dropped it and fell against a wall, panting.
