Beijing lay in ruins, swarming fire seeped into the asphalt and stone, devouring what lives the daemons had left unspoiled. The ruby die glowed softly as it feasted, the moans of the dead had become audible through the red stone. The mage in red held his hat down over his eyes, Beijing was big, far bigger than any other city he had previously destroyed. A Dragon Slave would not be able to destroy the city with proper efficiency. The devouring flames would take time to sweep the entirety of Beijing, and Red was irked at his idleness.
"We will have seventy million after the fires finish their work," Tabitha reported.
"There were only half of them left after the daemons work," Red continued his slow pace through Beijing, "is it enough I wonder."
"It is not, it will not be, we will fail."
"Be that as it may, I will not let the chance pass. The powers that be will intervene when things begin to turn for the worse," the Red Mage sighed, "what the others don't understand is that the world is always in peril. Something is always trying to kill all of the humans, destroy the world."
The mage in red thumbed his hat, "I will make sure that evil think twice, we have to consume the entirety of the Astral Plane, to show to even demons and gods that transcend space-time that I am not to be trifled with," he smiled, "I will take all the world if need be, but I swear to thee Alice, I will not fail."
