David leaned on the wall outside the restroom until Slindis finished getting changed.
"Yeah...Just I've not been to many weddings, but I can say this, If all wedding are like this one, Count me out, too much hassle..." He said, referring to The Imposters, Ekou and Rugal, Meeting THE GRIM FUCKING REAPER! not to mention keeping a lid on it until the two exchanged Vows.
"Which reminds me...a hour or so ago, you see any of the Blonde Waiters acting...Strangely?..."
As she got out of the restroom, David could see that Slindis was far more comfortable in her armor than she ever was in the dress as she responds to him. [color=c20000]"Can't say I did, but usually most weddings I've heard of are tamer. Personally, I'm not too fond of them. It's probably fantastic for those being married, but it's usually better for me to just keep busy. The only reason I went to most of the weddings back home is to establish and communicate with contacts at the receptions."[/color]

"Yeah, Well, I'd say the whole "Marring to get more connections" Thing died out in this world a few hundred years back. Nowadays, it's either for love or possibly money....Which....kinda defeats the purpose of me saying this..." David replied as they made their way towards the after party.
"So I take it you didn't see any of the Waiters acting weird then?..." He pryed, wondering if he could get back on Rugal's tail.
She shrugged. [color=c20000]"None of them really came close to me. I'm used to that kind of reception in areas without drow or some places that have them, so it's no big issue. It comes with the race."[/color] Inside the area where the after party was taking place, she saw the many people inside having a good time and took a seat.
"Yeah, I was meaning to ask, what's the deal with that? Granted compared to some of the shit I saw over the last few weeks, I really shouldn't be too surprised, but still..." David asked as he slid over a chair next to Slindis and put his feet up on a empty adjacent chair.
Flagging down one of the waiters he said "Double measure of Vodka and a 7-up, Slin, you want anything?"

Slindis closes her eyes as she continues. [color=c20000]"The only place I've met drow that were friendly overall was back in Xen'Drik, even if they were a bit insular. The other planes I traveled to that contained drow distrusted them for very good reason. I'd assume it was the same for those drow back at that red mage's home plane, since he thought I'd instantly be an ally."[/color] A laugh escapes her lips.

At least the last plane I went to had horses that weren't too judgmental, even if there were some that looked at me odd. The forest there was much safer than they claimed, and it was a good way to hunt for actual meat. Tira forbid I eat something other than hay and sweets while I was there!"[/color]

The waiter returns with the drinks and places them on the table. [color=c20000]"There's always a chance I might end up on this Earth you speak of. Somehow, I'm guessing my equipment would be considered antiquated there."[/color] Slindis takes a drink of the lemonade and watches the people enjoying themselves at the dance.

"Wait, What? No, I mean this world is called Earth, Don't know what they call it Realm-wise, but we humans have taken to calling our planet Earth." David explained as he mixed his two drinks in a pint glass before taking a deep long drink of it.
"Ohhhhhhhhh yeah.....As for gear, don't worry too much about it, Caim ain't much better and yet he still makes a petty good living, Least in our line of work..."
Krauser bashed open the entrance to Shang Tsung's Flesh Pits [http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110511050739/mk/images/thumb/b/b7/Flesh_pits.png/1000px-Flesh_pits.png] where he created abominations to serve him.
"How vile. That arrogant old conjurer was playing god, trying to create life, and prolong his own. He may have learned eventually, the accursed nature of immortality." Zasalamel said before he set down his scythe on a work bench, picked up a scroll of Shang Tsung's notes and began reading.
"Arrogant he was, but smart as well. The answer you seek could very well be found here. I just hope you don't lose sight of our agreement." Krauser reminded.
"You don't have to worry, the centuries have not dulled my mind." the hooded figure replied, not looking up from the scroll.
Krauser motioned for a shape near the door to come in. It was the same white creature that had been piloting his jet.
"Submit to all of Zasalamel's tests Twelve. But if the island comes under attack by anyone, come to me immediately."
Twelve nodded and waited by a preservation tank for the immortal's orders.
"The Lin Kuei may not be ecstatic that you overthrew one of their most profitable customers. I would be weary of Sektor's movements if I were in your position."
At that moment, Sektor was scouting the island for any other hazards.
"As long as I keep paying them, we should have nothing to fear. But even if that is not the case, I am more than capable of dealing with that robotic gun for hire."
With that, Krauser left for the Crystal ball in Shang Tsung's throne room. He had a few calls to make.
Throne Room
The crystal ball glowed and an image of Rugal Burnstien appeared inside it.
"Guten Tag Herr Rugal. Have you given anymore thought to my offer?"
Rugal was busy trying to track down Doom and Wesker to Max's Place in California when Krauser called out to him.
"Who's Dares!?" He said, rushing to his feet and looking around the warehouse, finding no trace of the voice.
"....Krauser.....How are you doing this?...And my position still stands, I will not tolerate this spying, you hear me?..." He asked, trying to find out where he was
The city of London fell under darkness as the clouds rolled in, red and purple lightning fell over the city in torrents as thick as rain. Yet the unusual dry storm only preceded something that was peculiar beyond understanding. A great serpent roiled through the air, carried by a thousand black metallic wings through the rising heat. The air hummed, and it resonated throughout the country. A noise close to a song, slow, mournful, and brimming with emotions before unfelt.
All the citizens of London trembled in fear and sadness, suddenly overtook by the unending song. Some broke into sobs and others collapsed, and every single one knew of their fate.
The great serpent barreled through the sky and into London proper, it's thousand black wings vibrating with song. The lightning storm continued, and fire began to burn. The beast's great body slammed into the ground, driving up concrete and dirt. Every so often a bloody body became intermingled with the debris.
His crashing shook the city to it's core, toppling buildings even far from his impact zone. The London Eye and the Big Ben both fell and shattered across the broken cityscape.
Miasma's wing's hummed in melody, slow and mournful. He sung a song of death and rebirth. He sung of a need for heroes. Atop his head sat a raven haired woman who flipped casually through a thick spell book. She had brilliant red eyes and wore a blue cloak and a hat adorning the claw of a lesser drake. An ebony staff of the non-magical variety lay to her side. She held a small smile on her lips.

History: Created in the Sea of Chaos after Red Mage's extended visits, she is a mirror image of Red Mage that the Library spawned to retrieve the Tome of Chaos. Though without any true history, she has the accumulated knowledge of Red Mage, including those imparted by Alice and Tabitha. She herself is aligned to the Eternal Beasts that live in the Sea of Chaos.
Abilities:
Invocation: When she reads a spell, it is cast almost instantly be calling forth the power of the Beasts she serves. This is the only way she really fights, as she lacks the large mana pool that Red Mage possesses from years of practice.
Astral Native: Born of the Sea of Chaos, Debora transcends realities with ease, she is fully capable of phasing between the corporeal world and the Sea of Chaos. She can bring others with her. This results in often instantaneous transportation.
Blue Magic: Red Mage's signature ability "Perfect Mimicry" has been transplanted onto Debora. Yet instead, she can study the flow of magic and make the spell her's permanently instead of merely copying the opponent's actions. The more she does this, the greater her mana pool become, and the power she can posses without lengthy casting chants and rituals is increased.
Weakness: Spells invoked from the Fundamentals, or Eternal Beasts. Such spells that derive their power from: Jehova/Yahweh, the Lord of Nightmares, and most major Gods. (Excluding those from polytheistic pantheons. And monotheistic pantheons with Gods of lesser description.)
Max's Place, California
The remainder of the United States fell into Disarray following the death caused by Red Mage's Virus.
Despite it all however, Max's Household changed little.
Him, Doom, Wesker and Cortex watched the on-going riots outside their window.
"Oh my god....This is madness..." Max said as he saw homes being broken into and people being Mugged.
[color=004E00]"Max....When were you going to tell Doom we moved to LA?...."[/color] Doom asked densely, much to everyone's annoyance.
[color=B4B400]"Mmm....If I could get my hands on that Virus...."[/color] Cortex said to himself before being slapped over the head by Wesker. "Hey! It ain't a Virus, if it was, We'd be dead by now. No, this was something else entirely..." He explained as they watched the neighbourhood go to hell.
Bison ran past the falling city, hoping to find some-way to get the hell out of the way of Miasma's Way.
Without the added Power from the Psycho Drive, not to mention the manhandling he received at the hands of Krauser, He wouldn't stand a chance.
Angelus couldn't find any proper words to describe the dress, her mouth only forming a little 'o'. After a moment of regaining herself, and with Kurumu's aid, began to get into it. "This is certainly magnificent, but I cannot help but think about how you had this made so quickly. Does your magic extend to clothes as well as illusions?"
Angelus nodded again, "I do! It reminds me greatly of my normal form, something I appreciate when cavorting in a human body..."
She waited patiently as Kurumu aided in her slipping into the dress, and then it struck her, "Why did you have the flowers land in my claws? I'm certain somebody else wanted them."
The dragon tilted her head in confusion, but shrugged it off, "So you're saying they indicate future weddings? I cannot blame your logic there... Now, what happens at these things now, aside from dressing up?"
The two had began to walk out from behind the pillar, to see their respective partners attended to Cadolbolg and Ton Ton.
Ton Ton gave a happy nod and climbed up Puce's shoulder, clinging to his familiar perch as the duo exited. Caim turned his attentions to his partner, and found himself staring at what appeared to be a perfect fusion of both of her appearances. With a slightly stunned smile, he only waved at her to follow after him, knowing full well that she did not desire to be lead. Their fates were one and the same, thus equality ran between both of them. As they walked, he 'spoke', "It suits you well." "Hmn? What are you talking about?"
The swordsman rolled his eyes, and pointed at her ensemble, "This. It's... 'You'. I can't put it any other way, I've never been one for descriptions."
Angelus smiled slightly at the backhanded compliment, and continued her way with her partner, hoping that the reception would keep as calm as the ceremony. "As beautiful of an ensemble this is, I'd hate to fight in it..."
Angelus' eyebrow tweaked in a mixture of surprise and amusement, "A disguise? Interesting... Now, I only hope you don't bode ill for anyone here, or things can quickly turn nasty for you. Who are you, and why are you here?"
Caim on the other hand, kept his hand close to his sword, lest anything nasty occur.
