Dillon recovered quickly, well somewhat, he made a low sweeping blow to make Rugal back away, he scooped up the Ipod and quickly put it in his pocket.
Dillon took on a stance, Rugal had a disadvantage on both offense and defense. Dillon knew this, and so did Rugal, He guessed Rugal was formulating an attempt to use superior skill, however there was a severe limit to what he could do. If Dillon attacked he'd lose something, his staff would be damaged, or he'd have to give up ground.
Dillon started to attack, they were precise blows, giving up little ground. Rugal was forced to back away, it wasn't a good set up, for Rugal, He may fight well but eventually he'd make a mistake and Dillon had the advantages, a mistake form him would be easy to recover from.
So Dillon took to offense, he'd slash chop stab and feint, putting Rugal on the edge.
Meanwhile Cortex was a bit suspicious he was all alone in the room, it was a bit odd that the funds were rather low, but not to small. Something strange occurred though as he was alone he felt an odd feeling of being vulnerable.
He was suddenly hoisted into the air, and thrown bodily across the floor. he hit the wall and rubbed his large head.
Something that looked a lot like Dillon, though then again Cortex was rather dizzy approached.
"Nighty Night, don't let the bandicoots bite."
He was hit hard on the head, Viscus might later find Cortex in a sorry state, covered in bruises, bones borderline broken, a few teeth missing. Cortex would recount the incident by repeating, "The eyes, the eyes, those green eyes." and even stranger was this, when asked what it did to him, he gave the strangest line
"He was.......Hunting"
something was after them.
