Canteen, upper deck
Melethia seemed physically uncomfortable as she continued. "The vampires said they were from the Blood of Vol, which was weird. After all, why have a religion based on undeath? One of the liches walking around... well... she..." It was clear to even a newborn that there was something she wanted to keep hidden, partly in the hopes that ignoring it would go away.
"So, how about I tell you more on how I met Mister Cage for the first time? It was on one of the times I snuck out, and I heard about his crew being taken. I knew the area he talked about well enough, so I snuck around the camps only to see that the only people there were from the Banshee's crew. I saw the ship of the pirates that had taken his crew, and more importantly, how close the powder kegs were to the tar kegs, So, I went and put the first of my delaye fuses and five minutes later, the ship and everyone on it was gone. Mister cage almost thought I had been taken there until Miss Anne told him what happened, and he said I'd have a spot on any ship he commanded!"
She seemed more comfortable talking about this, although the fact that a ten year old had experience with explosives and working around pirates was troubling in itself. Not to mention the stance that she held her blades when she threatened Lucifer showed someone that had some experience with the weapons.

Slindis became silent for a moment upon Puce's inquiry into her family, then started again. "Tell me about it. From what I found out on my only trip to Argonesson, it turned out what I thought to be a simple tragedy was the Blood of Vol directly starting a disasterous part of the Draconic Prophecy, which is more of an if/then statement then something set into stone.Had I known about it then, I may have stayed away from the temple again where I found her."
