Oh impressionable kids...
Heidern turned around when Melethia addressed him.
"Who? Me? No, I was merely returning that Arrowhead....but....Just seeing this place. I mean...Wow. I spend my days hiking and typing numbers onto a screen. I never thought I'd be in a airship. I mean, I'm not poor, but there is no way in hell I can afford this..." He explained as he walked around, even the wall seemed to interest him.
It was then he noticed the dagger.
"...Whoa...Be careful with that thing. No offense but aren't you a little young to have one of those?"

She smirks. "Last time I checked, you weren't Mister Cage. So why is it so dangerous to be holding this around?" She continues to juggle it while noticing the missing hand.

"Looks like ya need a hand looking around here, even if you're a bit dusty. Were you in that grated area up top, One-hand?" As she continues to casually juggle the dagger, Rugal notices the purple metal - nothing that the Cartel had used before, and it seemed to have an excellent edge.

"Why come all the way here to return an arrowhead? Unless the tip's made of Adamantine, they're really easy to make. Why are you really here?" Rugal could also notice the many pouches on a leather belt wrapped around her hips.

Name: Melethia
Age: Eleven
Race: Elven
Origin: Aerenal, Eberron
Title: The Emerald of Three-Barrel Cove, Vol's heiress.
Clothing: Dark green tunic, loose brown pants, boots.
Appearance: Shoulder-length green hair, purple eyes, multiple pouches tied to a belt around her hip.
Weapons: One longbow imbued with holy energy, one acid coated kukri made of the incredibly durable purple metal known as Byeshk, one frigid longsword with a Byeshk blade, one electrified longsword made of Flametouched Iron, one throwing dagger made of Byeshk that's enchanted to return to the thrower, two light maces maces that glimmer with an acid and rustproof coating.
Powers: Excellent mechanic and craftsman, clever mind, experienced sailor, good tracker, capable combatant and marksman, can tend to other's injuries, can use her Dragonmark of Death to keep someone moving despite heavy or otherwise debilitating injuries for some time.
Weakness: Will drop whatever she's doing to help someone close to her, even at her own peril. Somewhat naive, and can be overwhelmed like any other person.
Personality: Melethia's fairly cheerful, but her time around pirates and mercenaries has given her an unusual amount of cheer when she's in combat or setting up an ambush. Loves seeing new types of metal, and two of her pouches are dedicated to various types of scrap metals.

"...Oh yeah, forgot my hand *FaceDesk*"
Heidern was slightly taken aback by the girl's keen eye, but he easily recovered.
"Why is it Dangerous? Well, Ahem." He said as he presented the stump where his hand used to be.
"Might not lose that much, but if you lost a finger, You'll know about it. Still...getting used to it not being there..." He said, letting a hint of sadness into his voice as she asked about the.

"What?...What Grated Area? I came up the main ramp, it was open for some reason. I closed it though when I came in, there was a lot of valuable stuff in the hanger. As for the dust, that's actually dirt, Forests can be rough on the clothes." He explained as his eye followed the dagger as she juggled it.
What a strange material... He thought as Melethia asked about the Arrowhead.

"Ah, but this was not any Arrowhead, Not Flint, Not Adamantine, but made of pure sliver. I figured that it have been dear to Slindis, why else would she have it? Might have been a gift from a friend, former parter, Even if that's not the case, it must have been valuable." He finally answered, hoping that with her questions answered, she'd leave him be.

Her ears perk up at the name Slindis. "Oh, you know my mom? Where'd ya meet her? She save you after someone cut your hand off? And nice one on the dirt lie. Dirt'd have a nice, fresh smell, 'specially if you were just in there. That dust is stale and dry."

When the man tried lecturing her about the knife she laughs. "Really? If I didn't do something just cause someone said it wasn't safe, it'd be really boring! Still, a silver arrowhead is kinda hard to come across, but still nothing to crawl around in the vents for." Rugal notices that her technique for throwing the knife is far better than a young child's should be, and each toss reveals a hand with calluses from holding various blades, with a left hand that has the telltale marks of long-time bow use.

Mmm...this kid is good, Hell, great even. Oh well, Plan B
Heidern let his nerves show, he was caught, there was no lying with this child.
"I....I.....*Sigh*...You got me....But, I need you to keep a secret." He said in a somewhat hushed tone as he motioned the elf closer.

"...Ok...just today, I met your mother and She saved my life. I was attacked by a wild bear and she managed to defeat it before it killed me. It was close..." He said as he brought her attention to his hand again.
"But without her, I wouldn't be here. But after seeing her in action...And her kind heart in a world were people cut and turn on each other over mere numbers on a screen...I dunno...Just, when she dropped that Arrowhead...I saw....a....a...a chance to meet her again...So...*Ahem* Yeah...I walked all this way, though the dirt, thought a vent, just to give that back to her....so I could see her again...
Sorry I lied, just...I didn't want to appear as a creepy suitor, Especially not in front of you. She cares deeply for you and if you thought I was crazy, Heh, She'd probably agree!"

Now...I...Um...I'd rather her not know I feel this way...At least not like this...Soooo...Will you keep my secret?"

And the Oscar for best performance goes to... He thought, pretty sure he removed all doubt from her mind.

Melethia rolls her eyes. "Look, if you were up against a bear, how come your hand's gone? If it was how you say it is, you could get the hand out of the stomach and reattach it, mister. If you're just coming here to tell her that, just tell her! Don't act like she'll skewer you, unless you took it from her. And to be honest, you don't look like you have the speed for it." She throws the dagger at an inconspicuous part of the wall, and it's embedded in the wall at least an inch deep beforeit returns to her hand, and the blade has little damage on it at all.

"Hmm, mister, would you say this wall is made out of a steel alloy? It's a bit tougher than that, but nowhere near as tough as adamantine or byeshk. Maybe reinforced with some other metal? You seem to have a good eye." She looks up at the man with eyes that seem to miss little.

With the Preacher

The drow laughed. "Well, I just assumed you were part of the crew. I've yet to see a real captain of the ship, but it seems that we all decide where to go. Your partner may see a young girl down there; that would be my daughter. She's the type that loves exploring, and she's probably trying to find what the ship's metal alloy is." The preacher could tell she was a seasoned veteran from the way she moved around in her armor as if it were clothing, and her eyes held a deep determination in them.

.....That was not the answer I was expecting... He thought, his face showing a little surprise, but he managed to spin it.
"....I could have had it re-attached? Even after it was inside that things stomach?.....Huh...Just between the tearing and the chewing, I didn't think there was anything left to re-attach!....Wish I knew that earlier now..." Heidern said, playing the role of the man who knew little of survival.
"As for telling her, It's....a bit more complex then that...When your time come's, you'll understand...And what do you mean I don't have the speed for it? For what?"
Then she starting talking about the Wall.
"Well....I'm no expert, but...I have no idea...." He answered with dense stupidity.
Like she would understand it even if I told her...

Melethia sighs. "Well, if it were during a bear attack, it would mean the bear didn't have time to fully finish with your hand, and anyone with a little bit of magic could patch that up. Khyber, I could have used one of my spare wands to do that! You wouldn't have been walking around lots after losing a hand, either, so it's not like Mom wouldn't have noticed. She would've gutted it and put it back on. Mister, why are you lying about how you lost your hand? My mom wouldn't have cut your hand off for trying to steal that arrowhead." She goes over to the wall and notches out a sample, placing it in one of the pouches.

"Welp, gonna have to melt it down and separate the metals to find out exactly what it is, although maybe a bit of titanium? That would explain some of it..." The way she spoke and the small glimpse Rugal caught of the large amount of various metals in the pouch showed she knew her way around the different types of metals. He even caught a few glances of that purple metal in there, and none of those samples had scratches on them.

Location: Bruiser's Hideout | USA
Time: Dawn
Klaara raised an eyebrow, "While he may be a bad drunk, I'm a violent drunk. Should keep a good five feet between me and any strong brew at all times." She spat at the cigarette butt and looked toward the collapsing tunnel. "So, is there anything you two want? I'm not one for idle chit chat."

---

"Anything else... that I want to do?" Kyre parroted softly and slowly as if trying to understand what it meant. Then she clapped her hands and smiled, "Be with mother and father. I want to be with brother and sister. I want to be with you!" It seemed like she didn't really understand that her entire family was dead, the other interpretation had unfortunate implications.

Red Mage answered coldly to the question, "Titania is trying to get me to play a game," he growled, "she wants for Kyre to go home, and I want Kyre stable enough to go into the Sea of Chaos. Titania believes that if she can return Kyre to her home plane, then I will be seriously inconvenienced. Which is a correct assumption. So she desires to drive the Anti-Mage from my grasp over the cusp of insanity or reality."

Kyre grabbed onto Kurumu's hand, "Who do you keep talking to?"

"Wait....You think stole that Arrowhead. Nonono, it fell off when she took off after seeing me into town. As for the hand, She killed the bear, then did something with her hands to make them glow. Then she healed all the gashes and cuts, including my hand, or stump, whichever you prefer, and that's why I'm walking around instead of being bed-ridden. You can ask her yourself, She never brought up re-attaching my hand." Heidern explained once again, slowly growing more and more annoyed by Melethia's questions.
At this rate, She'll be on my trail for this entire trip! He thought.
"Whoa, wait, Melt it down? I'm sorry, now I have no Idea who owns this place, but I'd ask for permission before you go around taking lumps of metal off the walls. I mean, imagine if someone took a chunk out of your wall?"

I thought Slin saw the hand was already lost before the bear attack and never brought it up. Politeness, you know.
She shakes her head. "It still doesn't explain that whole hand thing. Why would you hide that? Most people I know aren't so roundabout a lost limb. It happens, so why be so scared? As for the metal, it's only a small chunk. If someone did it to mine, I'd just go ahead and tell them the wall's a mix of granite and brick, with some areas they really should be careful around for their own safety. If it was on the Banshee, it'd be some darkwood, with a densewood hull and deck. Once again, with areas they shouldn't be prodding into if they want to keep their vision." Melethia tosses him a chunk of the purple metal, seeing that he had been eyeing the dagger the whole time.

"Now that's byeshk. Really durable, used for jewelry and weapons. Its color also makes it nice for moving around in dark areas without being noticed. I've seen arrowheads of this through three inches of steel, and it's worth its weight in gold for me. You can have it if you want, I've picked up plenty.

Jake and Akane ended up leading the retreat from the collapsing tunnels by virtue of being the rearguard. Running hard and lighting the way, Akane gasped as the end of the tunnel looked like it was going to collapse and block them all in.
"Jake! Look!" She gasped.
"I know, I see it! Get through, I'll find something to prop it up with before it brings the whole exit down!" Jake replied.

Akane raced through, stopping and trying to hold the boulder up as Jake added his strength from the inside.

"It's no use, it's slipping!" Akane shouted as the boulder fell a bit more.
Jake grunted and let the boulder fall onto his shoulder, and braced himself against the wall. The boulder stopped moving, and Jake smiled grimly.

"Akane, anything around we can use to prop this up?"
"...No..."
"This'll have ta do then." Jake said, drawing Sode no Shirayuki, sheath and all from his belt. Wriggling around a bit, he wedged the sword between a crack in the wall and a seam in the boulder. The curve of the katana worked, spreading the weight just enough so as not to break the brittle sword. Stepping out carefully, the katana held, and the boulder stayed.

The rest of the crew began to run at them from down the tunnel.
"Quickly! It won't hold for long I reckon! MOVE MOVE MOVE!" Jake shouted at his new friends.

One by one they ran through, Jacob the last one to come, followed closely by Jake.

Another rumble from the falling rocks bumped the boulder at the exit, and the horrible sound of snapping wood could be heard for but a moment before the sheath of Jake's sword gave way and the boulder came crashing down.

Bruiser's tomb was sealed.

"...Well... Fuck." Jake said simply as he looked at the fallen boulder where his katana once was.

Devon looked at the collapsed tunnel and laughed. "Well, that was a close one. I wish I could've been more useful there, guys. At least we all got out of there well enough, but where are we gonna go from here?"

He sat down, watching the reunion between Teri and the others. "So, Devon, where do you go next? Not home, both places that you could call that don't exist any more. Hell, I'd be better off in Origin Plains. Least there I'd not keep trying to get in contact with people that aren't there any more."

Then she just handed him a piece of that strange metal.
....What is this?....This must be a trick

She nods. "Sure. You like the type of man that'd be interested in it, so why not. Think of it as payment for when I find out why you're so stubborn with how you really lost your hand, Wheathair. If you find a way to make more, just make sure to put it somewhere that you got it with some help. And if you see any other kinslayers, could you please tell me?"

The girl puts away her dagger and tugs Heidern's shirt. "Well, wanna find out more about the ship? That grated area's neat looking, but there's gotta be cooler ways to set something up like an ambush or a pressure switch that releases phosphorous and water on someone if they don't know the right tiles to step on, hehe. Stuff like that's always good for making the playing field even, isn't it?" She looked around the area again, taking note of all the nooks and crannies that were hidden off.

She sets off a trap, I both am rid of her and I have a better understanding of the Rising Dawn. Win-Win. He happily thought as he watched Melethia search a corner.
...I can see why she did it, despite being a annoying little brat, Odds are she does deserve to live....

Melethia puts a hand up before going to the bag on her right hip, pulling out tools that would be well-suited for anyone hoping to fix something, or disable it in this case. She uses the byeshk dagger as a pry to carefully lift a slightly higher tile in front of her, revealing a cluster of wires leading to a pressure switch. After a minute, she uses a light piece of charcoal to mark a few places on some of the wires then snips each one at the spot, efficiently disabling it. Another thirty seconds are used to strip the wires of all usable copper, then she places the tile back.

"Hmm, that was an okay switch, but they musta wanted this area kept safe for something. Wheathair, tell me if you see anything else unusual. We could be on the way to the control area or the security area." The girl keeps looking around for any more anomalies in the quiet hallway, and she listens intently for anything unusual/

Unreal World : Darren : Warning: Harsh BuzzKill
As the group managed to escape the falling underground tunnels, Darren was trying his best to keep his sanity after letting this entire mess happen.

He was failing.
Badly.

He was slumped up against the wall of Freezer Room, a dazed look in his eyes as the took another sip of the 3rd bottle of Vodka he was able to summon.
"......I just want you to know....back before all this......Before Rugal....Before Bruiser.....Before all this shit....
I hated you.
I hated you the most.
Like, if I able to walk...I'd fucking beat you to death with this bottle...Right now...."
....
No one answered.
"....One of these days....you're going to talk back.....or murder me in my sleep..... preferably the Latter..."
He raised his bottle to his reflection on the metal walls.
"...Bottoms up, you useless fucking ****..." He said before he knocked back the remaining contents of his bottle, blacking out as a result.

She managed to detect the ship's on board security? Tsh! Not even Viscus could get a read out! He thought as the Child marched on, avoiding and disarming several more pressure plates.
"I have to ask, how is it you can do that? I'd guess experience, but your age is completely incompatible with that." He asked as he stepped around another.
Dillon was always a paranoid one. He could have had everyone on board killed at any time.
The pair soon reached the Security Centre.
"...Something is not right....I don't know what, but it just seems...off..."
Knowing Dillon he's set up some failsafe for this room. for me especially no doubt. That child is going to kill the both of us...
He would tell the child what he knew, but that'd blow open his already shaky cover.

Melethia nodded, hunting around. "Hehe, there's quite a bit here. Whoever set this up didn't want anyone else in here, that's for sure. Still, there's no defenses they've make that I can't get past!" She gets some brown sugar and throws it on multiple tiles, then darts and weaves through the room avoiding the many tiles with the brown sugar on them to get to the wall by the area where the guard would clock in before gently taking the wall off through a few maintenance screws. Seeing the electrical board without any fuses and wires made for a low flow of electricity, she hunted around to find that it seemed to trigger a small generator connected to many heavy duty wires.

"Wheathair, this'll be a fun one. Just stay there while I fix this one, okay?" She goes back to that set of tools, taking around the same time that it took to get down the hallway to fully mark all the intricate wires and begin throttling the defenses in the room. As Rugal watched, the young girl was proving herself to be an expert at the job.

Shortly after severing all the wires to the generator and wireboard, she replaced the cover and moved over to another section and opened it, seeing one last cluster of wires. In three minutes, she severed a few more choice wires and waved Rugal in.

"Whew, that one was really fun! I haven't had fun like that since that room puzzle back in the Cove! Thanks for waiting, Wheathair!" In the span of ten minutes, this girl had disabled the defenses in the security room of the Rising Dawn, including the cameras and microphones.
