The Escapist Avatar Adventure: An Open RP (Now Re-Opened!)

Caim frowned at the proceedings, as he was overpowered by a previous posters OP mooks without any say whatsoever and saw the carefully planned plot fall into shambles once again. The dragon landed by his side and tilted her head in similar confusion. Disregarding the matters that did not mean anything to them, Caim quietly climbed on the dragon's back, and prepared for god knows what.

Meanwhile in the Real World, some riverside area in Florida

Teri looked at the screen with annoyance, as the plot ran amok again. Her eyes were dryish and she wondered, "Is anything going to go to proper plans at all? Is anyone going to follow the rules anymore? Will this damn RP ever make sense?" She shook her head in dismay, and began to type an OOC post about her grievances.

Two things:

1. I do believe we are in need of a new plot. The last one was kind of destroyed.
2. Chillz.... I think you need to sit down and have a serious talk with the rest of the regulars about your posting. Take a look at the first post of AA. LOOK AT IT. You break several of the rules and it's really starting to piss me off. Let me count the ways.

The Avatar Adventure is an Open RPG because you don't need stat-points or character sheets. You can come in and be anything you want; a main hero, a main villain, an NPC (helpful or random), a Random Encounter, a quest giver, or even an item. You character is your Avatar, and can either BE whoever your avatar is (if, for example, it's Link or Freeman) or you can make a new character with your avatar's looks/powers/body.
There's very little rules that need to be followed.

THE RULES!
Simply, you just drop in and use your Avatar to move the plot. The only rules I'd like to be followed is:
You have to contribute to the plot: Doesn't matter if your just going to pop in now-and-again or be a constant player, each post should move the plot a little bit.

Don't control the story by yourself: Each post gives you temporary powers as a DM, so don't abuse it and don't disrespect the previous poster. You have to react to the story, not change it to your image. For example, if the previous posts were all about getting ready to go to X Village to fight some boss, don't put in your post that everyone changes their minds and decides to have a cookie party.

KEEP IT SIMPLE!!! A common problem in previous instalments of this RP is that people got it in their minds to create 5 paragraph long posts where they put in detail about their character, what they did, why they did it, what color their weapon was when they did it, etc. Here at the AA, designated Players will provide the Plot, Conflict, etc. You just relax and just post whatever your character would do (preferably in a funny manner) and some of the things that happen in reaction to your actions.

There will be Designated Players I.E, players who provide the Plot and Conflict, and are okay to have a little more power then the average player. This will only go to those I trust and believe are capable of the responsibility.
Also, their will be at least One DP for the good guys and one DP for the bad guys. They will provide the quests for you, either for their own kind (we gotta find some power ups!) or to the opposing side (we gotta ambush them!)

Don't make All Powerful Characters This means any creature that can do anything he/she wants, has no weaknesses and is the super-bestes, etc. Though their isn't a real "character sheet," you character should have at least the following basics:

-One All Powerful attack plus a few smaller attacks or means to attack
-One Weakness, Specific or General it doesn't matter
-One way to get out of serious trouble but only to be used rarely if at all!

Only Once Character Per Player Meaning no making a Good Guy and a Bad Guy
NOTE! If you'd like to make a duo character, ie superhero and loyal side-kick, that is acceptable.

Using other characters in your posts is okay, but not necessary: This means that in your post you can say what the other characters did (exp, I would say how Mr. Ninja used his skills to find a door if it was in my post). But you should only do this if either a)the character's person hasn't posted in a while or b) if it is crucial to the plot of the RP.
ALSO, you can't make major decisions for that character, like dying or quiting or giving up some uber power, for that character. If you think you won't be on the thread for a while (or just get sick of it) please be sure to off your character if it's a main one, either through a death or simply saying "bye." Thank you.

When you come in, try to stay the same What I mean is, if you come in as a Good guy, try to stay a good guy unless you have a good reason, ie, NOT cause the bad guys have a cooler base then ours.

Have Fun. This is not supposed to be a serious thing. I hope to have this adventure become a funny one, so post with jokes or a relaxed manner. No need to be serious about it.

First and foremost: "Don't control the story". Look, a few attacks here and there are one thing, but having your Zero character basically take the MacGuffin, who isn't even your main character, (but I'll get onto that in a minute), imprison 3 PCs with MOOKS and almost take over the world.... Only to be saved by the 'proper' copy of your main PC... I call bullshit most foul. I don't care you are supposed to be a villain, this is ridiculous. We don't even have a chance to type a response or some reason to fight back; and I'm certain that this isn't what Orinon had in mind for this setting. From what I see, this just appears to be a childish way for you to gain attention to your legion of characters (which I will bring attention to). Which brings me to my next point:

"Don't be OP" This is your biggest problem. Hands down. This is what keeps cropping up, and all of my other issues with you and your posting will tie back into this. From all of the posts I've seen you type, you will pull some kind of power out of your ass, or you gain some kind of mega weapon of doom that allows your character to do what he does. Now, for example, when I brought in something new, I gave a clear and logical explanation for my actions and gave canon evidence for my character to be able to do that. Leet does the same thing for Youmu, and so does anyone else. Also, Ram points out that your characters should have a weakness of some kind. From what I can tell, Severin doesn't have anything like that. Most of our characters do, and should, so that they keep balance. You, do not.

"Only One Character" I have seen a few people break this rule, and it hasn't bothered me terribly. Some of the characters fall out of focus, some will be important for other plotlines, etc. But all of the extra characters you have.... Ridiculous. Extra names from other media that aren't necessary. Or, if a character is out of focus, he/she will be just as derailling/OP as the rest of your lot. Therin lies the problem, everyone you play as, that has a name, is OP. On top of that, some of your posts can be extremely tiring to read, because you either pull something completely random and new out of nowhere/they derail everything. Heck, if I remember correctly, one of the earlier posters called you out, and said the equivalent of "What the fuck" for bringing in the Sanguines again. But I digress. This returns us to the OP problem, which has already been discussed.

Now chillz. I hope you've read the whole of this before deciding to post a refutal. I hope others have read this list of grievances as well. I'm not saying that you need to stop posting, or stop playing Severin. All I'm saying is that all of your shit, needs to be taken down a few notches, so everyone can have a chance to have their own fun in the RP, instead of you taking everything and bending it to your will. I'm sure I'm not the only one fed up and irritated with it. Diabolo had to learn OP lessons with Rugal, and he was here a much shorter time than Chillz was. Hell, wasn't the reason we created this reboot because everyone was becoming too OP for the last universe? At least, that was to my understanding. Unless OPdom has become something accepted around here, I hardly think that any of this has been tolerated. Before we continue into the next plot, I think all of us should have a say about this. Eh, AA?

especially when I dedicated two whole posts of Dillon and the sword interacting, TO SHOW THAT EXCALIBUR WAS ANNOYING AS HELL. this means that the sword should have annoyed Severin and definitely not allow himself to be used.

The light powers have overstayed there welcome that's why in agreement of this next post I am removing his light powers and posting a character sheet in the spirit of AA's rules.

Most of my grievance was like yours: I was getting ignored. I know I've ignored plot developments as well, and maybe it was because Chillz was still typing when I posted (it happens.) Still, it was pretty annoying.

Meanwhile, I should probably review myself as well. I've been trying pretty hard to keep Youmu's power level down, but it might have snuck back up when I wasn't looking. That wasn't why I cut her hand off, though - that was just drama.

and for the other matter, I kinda agree with everyone, we need to be in line with the rules so we don't ruin the fun for anyone!

My character has been here for god knows what and I think he is fine, why.

Well sure he may be an ArchAngel of Lightning but the only powers he has is electric/lightning powers (May have one mega attack per arch), he can't use it all the time due to energy exhaustion which can be overcome by staying near electric devices, also he is on the heroes side so he gets pissed off when the villains are about to win or someone turns evil and etc.

I'll post a new character sheet for everyone to see.

Name: Tomoya Okazaki.
Race: Human/Archangel
Origin: Japan/ Clannad (Anime, based after Afterstory)
Titles: Arch Angel of Lightning, Guardian of the stone of Light.

Clothing: Green casual t-shirt, Jeans + Sunglasses.
Weapons: Can summon a katana and a magnum with his lightning powers, plus any other weapon he can absorb but only can be used once.

Powers: Power of Lightning and Thunder, Arch Angel powers.

Weakness: Can exhaust lightning powers, has to be near electric/lightning source to recharge.
Also will go berserk crazy if he gets betrayed.

Other Items: Flask of mystery (may provide mysterious extra power later).

Backstory: Tomoya is the male protagonist of Clannad. Due to his habit of always arriving late to school, skipping classes during the day, and staying out all night, he has been labeled as a delinquent, or a young person who defies authority. He is the type of person who thinks deep thoughts about his life, but usually does not voice them out.

AA Backstory: Tomoya was summoned to the AA world by a mysterious power, he joined the heroes and had many adventures with them, after a while the heroes had to gather element stone to beat the villains, Tomoya went after the light stone, after he grabbed the stone he became The ArchAngel of Lightning which grants him the powers of Electricity and lightning. He left the world to deal with Angel business in the world above or Heaven as humans called it, but came back after he heard Rugal has taken over.

- Able to use just about any weapon that falls into his hands, but prefers his sword
- Extremely high endurance
- Really good jump (He can jump up to his dragon, while she's flying, for pete's sake. Granted, she needs to stay still for it to work properly)
- Has an emphatic link with the dragon
- Able to do a sonic charge attack (needs buildup from Caim running towards enemy, and distance in order for Caim to gain the speed to perform it)
-- Varient of Charge attack: instead of using the charge to stab something, Caim can jump and bring his sword down to create a sonic blow, which can easily knock back enemies
Personality: Caim is a very blunt, surly and quiet individual. He always appears to have a scowl on his face, or at least a frown. He doesn't open up to many individuals, and he trusts even fewer. Caim loves to battle, and enjoys the thrill of cutting down his enemies. He doesn't take sides often, and will be fiercely loyal to those who gain his trust. He hates dragons for the most part, but will soften wherever his dragon is concerned. Seriously, don't fuck with the dragon.
Quirk Caim often points his sword at people when acknowledging them. Whether or not it is a threat, is up to his mood
Bio: Caim used to be the prince of a small kingdom, and lived a happy life with his sister and his best friend. Unfortunately, that kingdom was attacked by an Empire that was on the rise in his world. Black dragons slaughtered his father and mother, fueling Caim's rage for both fighting the Empire and hating dragons in general.

Caim eventually joined the Union army, his world's defense against the Empire, in an attempt to protect his sister. As a twist of fate, Caim would be greatly wounded and encounter a dying dragoness.
In his world, Caim was able to perform a magical procedure known as a 'pact'. A 'pact' a human and a magical creature literally pull their hearts from their chests and fuse them together. After this pact, a human is able to live for enormous amounts of time, and become extremely strong. But, there is a price. In Caim's pact, he lost his voice as a result for the power (and the saving of his life). The pact is marked on his tongue, as a sigil tattoo of sorts.

Continuing onward, Caim used this power to attempt to save his sister, who was made into a being known as a Goddess, and thus charged with holding the world in order. This made her a target for the Empire's machinations, and was murdered. As a result, Caim's world was broken, and devilish beings begin to rise. In more grief and rage, Caim has no more motivations but to kill and destroy the Empire. It is at this point Caim will enter the RP.

Age: 10,000 (approximately)
Weight: Unspecified
Alignment: Neutral; with Good tendencies
Species: Red Dragon; the word wyvern applies very well here
Job: Caim's steed, battle partner, translator and conscious
Weapon: She's a dragon, everything about her is a weapon
Powers: As per the pact, Angelus has become far stronger than a typical dragon from her world. This of has increased her natural capabilities of fire-breathing, flight and size.
- Can breathe up to 8 small homing fireballs or a single large powerful fireball. After firing all of the homing fireballs, Angelus must wait a few seconds before she can fire them again. Also, she cannot fire the homing fireballs and the single fire ball at the same time.
- Amazing flying maneuverability. No dragon from her world can match her. She can pull 180 turns with no problem, and has excellent dodging abilities
- Emphatic link with Caim
- When enough energy is built up, she can choose to do one of two special attacks. The first is that she fires a HUGE volley of magical energy based missiles at her enemies. These are almost impossible to dodge and hurt like a *****. The second is a constant stream of fire, along with some meteors, that covers a large plain of attack. Anyone on the ground should watch out.
Personality: The dragon isn't very friendly either, but she has a greater ear for mercy than Caim. She doesn't like humans very much, but she has grown to endure them. She is extremely intelligent and has a great amount of patience, especially in wake of Caim's destructive tendencies. She often fusses about his want of blood, but he tends to pay her no mind. The two often mock one another, but in the end, the two trust each other with an intimacy no other set of pact partners have been recorded having. She cares for Caim, she just has a problem with his murder rampages.
On another note, Angelus often has to speak on Caim's behalf, due to his being mute. However, one should note that Angelus often sugarcoats some of what Caim has to say.
Bio: Not much is known about Angelus. No one particuarly knows what she was doing being imprisoned by the Empire, or how she even got there. She's not saying. Anyways, in the time Angelus has spent with Caim, Angelus has figured this out: Caim loves murder, humans are still idiotic creatures, and that Angelus actually gives a damn about the human. The two are extremely close from their times and tribulations together, but the two would never admit it. Despite his murdering antics, Angelus is actually happy she chose Caim to pact with. He is more than capable of handling himself, and that is enough.

The dragon piped up, "Regardless of us being able to return to the... Home world, look at the damage that has been done to this one. Who's to say that this world will not affect ours?"

Dillon waited He didn't know if his plan would work.
Suddenly Excalibur reappeared in it's human form
"FOOL, You have lied to me!"
"No I believe what your thinking is I didn't tell the whole story quite different form a-"
"FOOL, I knew that I was testing you."
"Well so what if I have an angels-"
"FOOL, One of the clauses, you must not steal power too become more powerful"
"Well until Tomoya comes and takes it back, Which I will do so willingly, I'm stuck with them."
"FOOL, I can do it easily, I'm the holy sword after all."
Excalibur's Cane was in Dillon's face, he lowered it so it was over his heart.
Dillon's face contorted into one of pain, A black bolt seemed to be coming out of his chest.
When it finally came out a nasty bolt of black lightning was coiling itself around the tip of Excalibur cane
"GO on little bolt, go back to whence you came."
they saw the bolt hit Tomoya, who shuddered, Rugal's bolt was like eating raw sewage
this was more of drink an entire can of a flat soda that was way too sugary.

Spoiler: Abilities and Weapons:

-Excalibur: The Holy sword itself, Very annoying they are more likely to fight each other than enemies but there are times where they can agree and unleash devastating attacks.
-Katana, normally he has problems wielding it, unless he?s listening to his iPod, uses it when he can't use Excalibur.
-Golden iPod which is a marvel of technology, it seems to grant its user the ability to be much more powerful while listening to its music, it also has millions of apps and songs, and can absorb other technology (For example the communicator is now in the iPod, making it an iPhone but I`m still calling it an iPod just cause)
-currently he has his dart rifle with a large amount of darts, specifically he has 2 different chemicals, so imagine it as 3 types of ammo( like hollow point, Armour piercing and regular) a Neuro-Tranquilizer that's faster than nerve conduction on the skin, and finally a compound full of adrenaline and other chemicals reminiscent of a Stimpack (Healing kind) this is likely to be used to assist allies as it'll heal they`re wounds and give them an adrenaline rush.

Severin sauntered over to Doom and picked him up by the neck of his coat. Eyebrow raised, Sev examined this newcomer for a second, then dropped him. He turned towards the others.

"I got here through hyper-slipspace travel on The Maelstrom," Sev commented, lightning up a cigar.

"If you want, we could take the ship back to our time..." Severin's voice trailed off as he remembered the dystopian future Zechs had created. A few checks on his wrist revealed that, with the timeline moving according to plan, Zechs was still MIA, his future was only corrupted due to the potentiality Severin never returned to Earth.

Through his centuries-long lifespan, Severin has trained, experienced, and fought more... THINGS... than he's willing to admit. His body is laden with scars, injuries, and augmentations all due to his violent and ravaged past. From the arm and leg he lost in 11th century England, to the Golden Eye replacement in the 15th century, to as recent as massive facial reconstruction from the 2011 Battle of The Field. His body is adorned with two powerful diamond-steel compound limbs, one arm and one leg. They have been outfitted with blades, crossbows, gunpowder, lazer beams, GPS, Twitter, Facebook, extra-planetary comm. systems, even a holographic watch that screams the time in Kratos's voice.

While the mechanical limbs are nice and all, the core of Severin's power lies in his Elementalist abilities. As the only Elementalist to be able to manipulate the world around him in a mass scale on an atomic-particle level, he has achieved grand amounts of praise throughout his life. Though most known for his diamond-shard techniques, it's been reported Severin maintains the ability to call forth lightning to infuse in his weaponry, spew lava from his gullet, crack the Earth's crust, and even rip planets apart at the seams. With the final victory over The Wanderer of Mastery, Zero, in the waning weeks of Feudal Japan, Severin achieved the status of the Master Elementalist.

Severin appears to be an impenetrable wall of death and Viking, but he has one major flaw. Severin maintains a large sense of duty, that he has to be everywhere, saving everyone. If he's put into an impossible situation, Severin becomes susceptible to panic attacks, cutting down his mental concentration and reducing his abilities to manipulate the elements about him. And from there, his Elementalist abilities don't just come out of nowhere, every small movement of water to the smallest spark of fire wastes away at Severin's own molecular buildup. Over time, the energy storage in Severin grew to a degree that he could crush mountains into liquids and turn the planets into his own personal castles. However, actually manipulating things on such a small, definite scale, like atomic-particles, drains his energy significantly. When healing himself or repairing his body after a self-caused explosion are instances that drain Severin most. Once totally drained, Severin's only form of function would be his metallic limbs. An eyepatch covers his left eye, The Golden Eye that heightens his Elementalist powers and permits the highest form of Elementalism, manipulation of thoughts. This is incredibly draining on Severin.

Appearance: Immensely tall with a slightly muscular build. Darker-metal arm and leg. Left half of face made of same metal, but more bio-organically, permitting a movement on the same level as the skin that surrounds the metal. Eyepatch covers Golden Eye on left half of face. Longer blonde hair, tipped with black and gray. Battle clothing varies, but generally Sev wears a plain white Deep-V and a thin black leather jacket, with baggy blue jeans. His time in space also gave the Emperor a case of 5-o'clock shadow syndrome, along with various piercings on his eyebrow, ear, and side of his nose. He maintains the face of a 20-year old, save a few laugh lines, attributing through his consistent reconstruction of the body he inhabits.

Most of what Youmu does is focused around her two katana, Roukan and Hakurou. Out of the two, though, Roukan appears a lot more often - mostly because cutting through confusion is a very specific ability, and Roukan is able to cut through almost anything. Besides that, she can also move very quickly in short bursts, often accompanied by a sword slash.

She's also learned in a magic art called danmaku, which, while non-lethal, can still be reasonably effective. Part of it involves creation and usage of 'spell cards': pre-prepared, powerful spells. Spell cards can also be used in low-magic areas, even when normal danmaku can't (that includes free flight). Almost all of Youmu's spell cards are channeled through Roukan.

For a pretty long time, Youmu was a servant to a ghost named Yuyuko. At the time, she didn't think about morality past her loyalty to her mistress, which wound up getting her into trouble. After that, though, she occasionally acted on her own behalf - though not to the detriment of her loyalty. Not that that's easy to keep up when the two are in entirely separate worlds...

Youmu has been on more adventures than she remembers, because nearly every time there's a full-on reboot, she loses everything she remembered before. Recently, though, she's managed to hold onto one memory: Tomoya. Right now, she has a hospital and an airport in Canada, an assault on Rugal's airship, a journey into feudal Japan and a second, more successful assault, as well as the current arc. How much she'll keep of it is anyone's guess.

I don't want to ruin her balance, so I'll just go with a replacement hand. Though, I'm not sure how draining that'd be... You don't mind if I finish it, right? I'll take this out if you'd rather do it yourself.

As the light faded, Youmu felt feeling return to the end of her arm. Pulling her left hand away, she saw that her recently-removed right hand had returned. Not knowing where the light had come from, she leant up against a tree, partly from relief and partly from blood loss.

That was when she noticed Tomoya, doing something similar. "Did...Was that you?" she asked in between hard breaths.

He then closed the distance and back-Kicked Doom in the Face, again, little effect.

As the light faded out and Tomoya saw the replacement hand he did a big huff, he was out of wind and couldn't stand anymore, he stumbled to a near by tree and slumped down to the ground, "Thanks good friend, I need someone to lean on..." He said to the tree, he then looked towards Youmu, "Yes I did...but I also sensed something else...do you remember me?" He said.
