Soon the hospital started to shake and there was a loud noise like that of a jet engine. As everybody inside looked around they saw an F-69 VTOL slowly rising into the air. Inside the jet Matt saw Puce and Kurumu and gave a small nod of acknowledgement before switching to jet mode and flying away.

Calypso entered the room Puce was in, walking over to the bed. He had a box in his hand.


"Mr. Puce, I'm sorry to see you injured during my contest outside of the acutal events. It would be a shame to let such a good competitor be cast to the sidelines like this. I've taken the liberty of paying for your medical costs, lets hope you can be fighting fit shall we?". There was an air of sincerity to his voice.

"Don't worry. I've prepared everything to make sure this will be one of the best contests I've held. I've made.... arrangements. Now, I'll leave you to recover." Calypso grinned slightly and walked off.

Cortex checks the Dashboard Clock for the umpteenth time.
"Come on...Where is everyone?..." He asked no-one nervously.
The Skulls seemed mean and He wouldn't put it pass them to attack before the event started.
He sighed and calmed his nerves with a beaker of wine.

Caim held the turtle with a tight grip;
"Hey! Little exploding turtle! Quit that!"
Angelus gave a curt glare at Cadolbolg, a dry sounding thrum echoed in her throat and sent a message to Cadolbolg (whom she was figuring was letting on more than he appeared), "Stop that at once, Cadolbolg. Save your aggression for the coming battle."

Caim, taking note that Puce was ready to leave, decided that now was the time to take position. Giving a nod of acknowledgement, Caim crawled out the window and found himself in his typical seating on Angelus' neck.
The nurse, in a slightly irritated tone, muttered, "We sure get our share of wierdos around here..."

Cortex was starting to relax as the rest of the group showed up.
At least until he saw Kurumu and Puce in Spectre Mk.2.
He panicked and ducked so he would be hidden behind the dashboard until the Event started or See stopped looking.

"It's good to see you back on the course Puce. It would be a shame for you to die outside of the contest, you have so much potential to make it far. Lets hope your recent circumstances don't result in an, unfortunate end. So anyhow, "

The drivers found them in an old port, ravaged by time.

"This is Watkyn's Harbour"

"Grimy, run down, lost hopes around every corner, not exactly your kind of place yes?"



"And this, is Juggernaut. "

"It's a little different to the one driven by the good Doctor. While it can't turn into a robot, it can't be detected on radar and it's very hard to kill. Also, it will spawn new contestants over time, so find it quick and kill it quicker".

"These vehicles are being driven by the skulls, the gang of Mr.Grimm, a fellow contestant. Should they stop you, they'll get to enter next year's competition, so they're motivated. Good luck to you all, I hope you can make it all the way."

Basic Weapon: Swarmer Rockets

Car Stats:

-Armour : 9

-Handling: 5

-Speed: 4

-Special Weaponry: 7
- Super Crush: lets you lift up on your rear treads and allows you to drive over opponents, literally crushing them.
- Crowd Controller: lifts up on it's rear treads and slams on the ground, sending out a frontal-cone shockwave that can knock back enemies caught in the blast radius.

Basic Weapon: Chainguns

Appearance:

Car Stats

Armour: 3

Speed: 6

Handling: 10

Special Weapons: Shockwave: Axel shoots out a blue ring of energy that blows the opponent up into the air.

War Wheel: The Two Tires form into one large Spiked one, Allowing Axel to impale any car in it's way.

Special: Flaming Chainsaw: A Custom Chainsaw that cuts all Armour that it hits, can be thrown or used directly.

RPG: The Driver Stops and fire a RPG-7 for Massive Damage.

Basic Weapon: Mounted machine guns

Car Stats:

-Armour : 4

-Handling: 6

-Speed: 9

-Special Weaponry: 6
-Shock Freeze: a 360 degree EMP shockwave which can be charged up and can stall the engines of all enemy vehicles caught in the blast radius.
-Flamethrower: a very effective stream of fire which does a great deal of damage.

Angelus readied herself to take to the skies, taking note of the Juggernauts.
"Heavy hitters, eh? Sounds like our kind of job, Caim."
Caim, finally in his element once more, gave a small smile, and readied himself for the assault.

Cortex peered up from behind the dash as Spectre Mk.2 drove past.
How the hell she survive that!? Those pipes shoulda washed her away for miles! He thought as he fired up his Juggernaut and braced himself for the upcoming battle.
As he drove one of them, He reckoned he knew the weaknesses of the Juggernauts and was keen to test them.

Right off the Bat, Cortex Went into Mech Form, lest his Juggernaut be seen as a target.
The Mecha Bandicoot began to look for the Juggernauts before the could release another car.

Axel joined the two tyres to shield from the light and charged Wedding Crasher to pre-empt the beam.

Cortex spotted one of the Juggernauts along with Warthog.

Caim noticed Cadolbolg's willingness to fly; and was pleased in his want to aid the battle. He let the turtle go and the dragon called out, "If you find anything, come back to us. Understood?"
She hoped that Cadolbolg's ability to reform himself would keep strong. Caim gave silent reassurance to the dragon that if the turtle was really 'their child', they'd have nothing to worry about. Angelus gave a 'hmph' and continued looking for the Juggernauts.

Axel was hit as it landed on Wedding Crasher, reducing the damage inflicted by the ram.

But Kamikaze had seen Spectre as it decloaked, and closed in, preparing the Flamethrower.

Cortex Chuckled as he fired several missiles at Juggernaut while it's Gunner fired the Tri-gun at his mech.
He closed the distance and attempted to cut it with the Chainsaw.

Axel sped off to aquire weapon pickups.

Wedding Crasher passed a pickup and collected 2 Fire Missles.

Warthog rammed Cortex to intercept him and protect the Juggernaut. The lorry sped off, dropping mines as it went.

After the shock of the impact, Cortex attempted to go for a massive soccer kick on Warthog to knock him into a building.

Kamikaze pulled the handbrake and spun around, dodging the plasma blast and prepping the EMP. As Spectre passed, it fired the EMP, stunning it allowing Kamikaze to open fire with its mounted guns.

Warthog was sent back, but he was able to raise the tracks with the kick and chase down the Mecha Bandicoot.

Cortex ignored the chasing Warthog and instead focused on trying to find a Juggernaut, as long as they were around, this round would do on.
The Mecha took a turn though a building as a shortcut.
