Dillon saw Aftan and Akane both were in danger of getting shot so he immediately ran to them, somehow his Indiana Jones outfit had disappeared and he was back to his normal combat gear mostly because he was done fooling around.
Dillon appeared in front of them he had his back turned to the attackers which at first seemed foolish but his wings activated just a millisecond before the attackers started shooting. Dillon's wings had strange properties, they appeared to allow him to fly though he didn't precisely need to flap them they could just be open, they showed no sign of encumbering him, however they also appeared to be very slid as they have shown to deflect bullets just as they were now.

 

[Moros]

After all his men were dead, the platoon leader looked at the scene before him. All of his men had been killed on what was supposed to be a simple snatch and grab mission. He had let down his boss and he was certain to be killed either way. That was when he decided he wouldn't let these damn heroes kill him. Turning the gun on himself, he pulled the trigger and was dead in the blink of an eye.

Caim noted that the situation might call for more power than just 'fire', as it was only causing more damage to themselves. He pulled in to the space between that stored his weapons, and pulled out two. One was for Angelus, a familiar blade named Kingsblood, and the other was an old scythe that Caim treasured from his exploits: Reaper's Scythe. Hopefully, the two would help them along moreso than fire had.

However, Caim was disappointed to see that the enemies were already down by the time he had their weapons prepared. No matter. They would taste blood sooner or later.

As Tomoya walked up to the Leader's corpse, Tomoya sighed and shook his head. "Never a good way to go...I would of treated him well as a prisoner." Tomoya sighed once more as he travelled inside the temple to find this artifact the were hired to find. Tomoya was in a hard place, his soul was fighting itself. Sure his powers may be alright, but the soul is the most important thing he has, it has Tomoya's everything in it. He would have to resolve it soon.

SNIP OF THE CONFUSED KITSUNE!

Drinking the liquid being forced down her throat, Akane's wound healed straight away, and the Kitsune coughed a little as the bottle was withdrawn.
"Wha- Who? Where are we?" Akane asked in a daze after the experience of being teleported back to safety. All she remembered was getting shot, and then a bright shield around her, and some crazy bastard leaping them both and growing bright angel wings and....
"My head hurts...But I'm okay now." She stated flatly. Then Akane looked up at her rescuer, the Knight. Confusion in her eyes, Akane tested her now healed shoulder and found it fine. She looked back up to the Knight, and decided she wasn't such a bad person after all.

"Arigato gozaimus, Knight. I believe I don't even know your name to thank you properly."

The girl waked up behind Tomoya, her presence clearly known by the sound of the power armor's footsteps and the clanking of the armor itself. "Lucky fucker, wanted to run him through with my chain sword for hitting the kitsune..." she she said outloud, not caring who heard. "I do have a feeling something will be waiting for us inside of this temple." she said.

Caim pointed the scythe to deeper within, and the dragon said for him; "Regardless of what lays ahead, we must progress. Let's go."

With that, the duo began to take the lead deeper into the temple.

 

[Orinon]

Dillon followed close behind Caim and Red
"Just remember to pay attention from what I remember ancient civilizations were incredibly greedy"
"what do you mean?" asked the girl in Daniels armor
"Oh just despite them being completely dead they still hate the idea of someone taking their stuff, seriously why would they care, they're dead right who cares who takes their stuff now."
Dillon used his golden wings to create a soft glow so they could all see where they were going, without burning up any needed oxygen or batteries he was also floating above the ground so as to not set off any traps.
"Oh by the way your welcome" Dillon said to Aftan.
"What for?"
"Oh I dunno maybe protecting you form that hail of bullets" Dillon then walked off letting that sink in. Dillon's super Ego was telling him to be nice to the girl but he wasn't one to easily drop grudges when she apologized he'd be sweet as sugar until then gruff politeness would do.

"Arigato, Aftan al Said." Akane called out softly, for no-one to hear but herself.
She must have guilt of somekind about rescuing someone, or perhaps being rescued... Akane thought to herself as she realised a small part of why Aftan was the cold person she made out to be. Sheathing her sword, Akane joined the party, choosing to walk silently alongside Aftan for the time being, her arms folded inside her sleeves.

The dragon turned her head to the fox, and said, "Daughter of Reynard, do not take offense, as I speak for my partner; who probably means well when he says: It is most likely ill advised to put away your weapon. We've most likely more unpleasing things to deal with. Tis only a word of caution from a battle hungry fool. Whether you do so is up to you..."

With that, the dragon returned to her path ahead, making sure to keep pace with Caim.

Akane turned her head and looked at the dragon and replied, "None taken. And my katana is not my only weapon. Like yourself, I fight with fire at range. I honestly prefer to use my powers rather than get into a sword fighting match, as I am not as skilled with the blade as I would like to be. Thank you for the message. Once again, I seem to have not been properly introduced to you, or your partner. I am Akane. Oh, and why is it that you keep calling me Daughter of Reynard?"

The dragon nodded with approval when Akane mentioned the use of fire. After all, this dragon was born with fire in her lungs and it's flames in her words. "Like you, I prefer fire and my own strength to mortal weapons. However, I have seen their uses. Kingsblood here is one I grown accustomed too. As for my name: I am called Red, by preference. If the fool here, who's name is Caim, decides to spout out my true name, you will hear it soon enough. I do wish he would clam up about that. Dragons don't give away their names easily you know. As for 'Daughter of Reynard', I thought that was a title of recognition to the intelligent foxes. In a manner of speaking, it divides them from the common scavenger that makes up a greater portion of their ranks. After all, Reynard is the one who proves how the fox gained their reputation for craft and wit. But, perhaps he has not been known of in this world or whichever you hail from."

We didn't SNIP the Fire

"I agree with you about weapons, it is why I have my katana, and know how to use it. But ho is Reynard? I do not know of him, and I daresay he never had an impact on my plane of existence." Akane replied to Red.
"Caim, thank you for your advice I will keep a hand ready on my katana just in case." She said to the Dragon's partner as she did indeed take her hands apart and place her left hand on her sheath.

Caim gave a small nod to the Kitsune and kept facing ahead, scythe in hand and ready to strike.

The dragon however, looked puzzled, but continued, "Hmn... Perhaps he is not in your realm. Mind you, I've only heard stories of him myself. Simply put, Reynard was the reason foxes were regarded as tricksters, or at least, intelligent. He spared wits with a wolf named Ysengrimus after the wolf tricked him. From then on, tales of Ysengrimus' humiliations and befuddlement influenced other foxes to do the same, to think intelligently and be as Reynard was; in terms of insight. Reynard was an ideal for the foxes to reach. At least, you are the first that seems to have fit the idea; albeit, far more advanced than I was expecting. I only heard of talking foxes, not ones that wear human forms."

As the others trailed behind him, Tomoya wanted to quickly get this over and done with so he may get back on his business with Jack and helping with the war in hell, which he really didn't want to do, but he wanted to help his friend. As everyone entered a large chamber at the center of the temple, there were stairs leading to a platform which had a pedestal and a black skull on it.

A sigh filled the chamber as Tomoya was already near the pedestal looking at the skull. "Well judging by the pedestal and the skull I can already tell that something bad is going to happen when we pick it up...any bets?" Tomoya asked smugly to everyone else as he touched the skull thinking about picking it up. He had a feeling something was going to happen but something else needed his attention.

"My bets are on pitfall or some big bad to show up to ruin our day." The girl said, walking up to the pedestal as well. she didn't touch the skull but looked at it. "The blackness almost reminds me of obsidian from minecraft." she said.

Tomoya gave a strange look. "Computer game." she said.

Akane listened to Red, and then chuckled a bit in the middle. "Heh, well, we Kitsune are regarded as tricksters somewhat, mischevious definately. Your tale is interesting, but in my homeplane, well, we are Yukai. We are spirits to begin with, and must venture forth from the spirit world into the real world when we are old enough to hunt. Human form is something that must be learnt, and some are naturals at it whilst others are not. I learnt to take human form early, and though I can take form without my tails and ears it feels... somewhat wrong without them. My balance is off, as is my senses in that form. As for my original form, well, I am used to this one and I like it more. One can do much more like this than they can as a full bodied fox, though that form does have its uses. Would you not say the same about yourself?" Akane said as she played with a flicker of flame in her hand.

The dragon nodded to some of Akane's points, and added in, "As you said, the human form is a convenient one, but I, unlike yourself, prefer my true form. Without my wings, I feel chained. The sky is my domain! It is my home, and I feel strange not being able to access it. My senses are dulled and my flesh is made weak without the protection of my scales. But... This form is helpful, in it's own way. Now I am able to go where I could not before, and my versatility is greater. It is still strange, being in human form, but I do plan to become more able bodied in this one."

 

[Moros]

"So my suspicions were correct about what happened to my men," a voice suddenly said in the chamber. When the heroes looked around the chamber they saw a computer off to the side. On the the monitor was a video feed of James. "You had better hope you destroy that skull because if you don't, I will personally come after you and kill all of you," James said to them. Tomoya's face twisted with anger as James made the threat. "Than I guess we better destroy it," Tomoya said as lightning formed in his hand. He then turned and fired a bolt at the skull, causing it shatter into a million pieces.

When he turned back to the computer he saw that James had a smile on his face. "So it turns out that the CIA and the heroes are more gullible than I thought. You see, that skull doesn't actually help summon evil, it was created to stop them from entering our world. And now that you have destroyed it, nothing is stopping me anymore," James said before the feed went dead.

Caim rose a dark eyebrow in annoyance before walking over the computer and cleaving it in two with his scythe, "May the gods damn you and the horse you rode in on!" He thought and mouthed, as he switched to his blade to keep attacking the equipment, reducing it to little bits.

The dragon could only hold her face in a palm, and mutter, "Go to another world and we're already breaking seals and unleashing unholy terrors... It never ends."
