NONE HAD SPOKEN!!!

Then we have our new Team!!!

(deserteagleeye)---Sakura Kinomoto + Travis Touchdown

[Because the user deserteagleeye had suggested first]

Let see the other suggestions Please!!!
How about Sora, Donald and Goofy + Shulk? Why? Because a Monado-based keyblade would be sexy as fuck.
Frankly, I don't know who Shulk is, so I don't know nothing about him.

Monado is the weapon of Shulk?
You are correct.

This:

is the Monado when it's sheathed.

You'll have to bear with me, cuz I can't for the life of me find a good picture of the Monado unsheathed.

This:

is Shulk wielding the Monado.

The bottom edge of the Monado's base slides down, and an energy blade forms in the middle(as seen below), extending outward from the top.

Now imagine a Keyblade where the base is shaped like that of the Monado, which opens up, allowing the tooth part of the keyblade to form as an energy blade. Sexy.

(Eomega123) --- Isaac + Maxwell
Where can imagination take you? It can bring you to glorious heights and terrifying depths. It can solve many problems, and create many others. Both Isaac and Maxwell use their considerable imaginations in their quests, but in very different ways. The tortured demon child Isaac projects his own feelings of guilt and terror onto his challenges, which manifest in the horrifying monsters he faces and the terrible things he will do to his body in order to conquer them. Maxwell, meanwhile, uses his magic notebook to summon solutions to the quirky problems that fill his brightly colored universe. Both have seen and accomplished much, though in very different lights. What shall happen when these two very different individuals with very similar gifts fight side-by-side? That...is up to your imagination.

We're not voting anymore, sorry Blacksmith. We now seem to be doing some kind of Dragons Den type deal of pitching a team to SweetShark and if he likes it more than other suggestions he lets them through. This is going a bit low otherwise.

Very well.

I'll argue on behalf of my own pairing then.
(The Lazy Blacksmith): Master Chief + Scorch. On the surface, these two seem pretty similar; they are both fully-armored space marines who kill bad guys with their pew-pew-shooty-guns, and were each training for war since the were kids (and in Scorch's case, he was MADE for war). In reality, the two couldn't be more different. Master Chief is a power-armored badass who can punch holes in tanks and wears a big, bad suit of MJOLNIR power armor. Scorch's Clone Trooper armor is lauded as effective in Star Wars' extended universe, but the movies provide evidence quite contrary.

The two complement each other in terms of skill sets, a rare thing that could be said of any ally of the Chief. While Chief's training mainly extends to conventional and exotic training in weapons/vehicles, Scorch lives up to his namesake by wielding a flamethrower and having extensive explosives proficiency (Chief's demonstration of explosives prowess thus far encompasses hitting the reset button on a couple of bombs, often with Cortana at his side for tech support). Scorch's explosives training in particular is key. While the Chief's super-strength and incredible marksmanship is a force to be reckoned with, a good bomb could turn the tide of a battle against a bulletproof foe or a target Chief can't punch.

A second main reason why the duo would make such a good team is their complementary personalities. Chief is quiet, gruff, and is constantly serious. It's been implied throughout the Halo series, especially in 4, that the Chief could never psychologically grapple with civilian life. He's just too conditioned for war. Scorch, on the other hand, is a goofball. He makes snide remarks consistently, and is probably smiling pretty often under that helmet of his. While initially that may sound like terrible team chemistry, one must delve deeper into each character. The force mainly keeping Chief from becoming a completely dehumanized machine is Cortana. She's always there to crack a joke to lighten the situation aside from her usual jobs of conjuring whatever techno-magic is necessary to keep the plot rolling. Chief needs somebody who can make a joke to truly remind him what he's fighting for and not lose sight of himself.

Scorch, on the other hand, could benefit from having a disciplined companion to guide him in combat. A loose cannon like him needs somebody to keep him focused and efficient when the situation grows dire.

Okay, so here's another team that I actually created: Team Dark Fantasy, Geralt (of Rivia) and Jakiro. The universe of The Witcher already contains dragons, and it's mentioned in The Witcher 2 that witchers and dragons have no particular quarrel. Because of that, Geralt would be receptive to the idea of having a dragon as an ally. Meanwhile, Jakiro is known for working in groups, and for not caring who his allies are. It's not known how dark the universe of Defense of the Ancients is, but I still the name "Dark Fantasy" fits them well.

Their skills also complement each other well - Geralt can use his magic to prevent enemies from evading the dragon's breath, and Jakiro can use his fire and ice breaths to assist the witcher's lack of directly offensive magic.

Edit: For the sake of convenience, here's the team in the list format:

Question: what's going to be done about the remaining team suggestions that are still on the voting block? Are they just going to be discarded?

Very logical to want a cross-over of this weapon and a keyblade, but for the shake of the discussion [I love to talk for videogames], how Donald and Goofy can fit in with Shulk?

Very interesting logic behind this Team.
But I must say the mature nature of Isaac is just too much for Maxwell to handle [even if Maxwell can summon Cthulhu].
On the other hand, the fighting style wll have make sense to me:
Maxwell will write down the items he want to summon, then Isaac will use them to get new abilities.

In Xenoblade, there's normally a party of three members. Shulk doesn't go it alone - he's always got friends to help him out. I don't see how Sora's friends would be any different - and it means there's more people he could save with his visions. When a character is about to die, the Monado gives Shulk a glimpse of how it's going to happen, and a chance to prevent it - heal them, take down their assailant, or even stand in the way of the attack. Thing is, it's not too helpful for only him, so the more people[footnote]Using the word 'people' loosely.[/footnote] he could potentially save with it, the better.

So he'd probably work even better in a group of more than just him and one other character. The more, the merrier - and besides, Donald and Goofy come with Sora, so even if Shulk didn't get paired with them, the next person suggested would have to justify this too.

Btw, Geralt will have for this Tournament his Epic f*cking Beard:
Alternate costumes! Gotta love 'em. Does that mean I get to call that Classic Reimu is the mode for the battle? Purple would go so much better with The King's flamboyancy.

Left: Modern Reimu (her hair varies from mid-brown to black depending on the artist.) Right: Classic Reimu (with your approval, OP, the one I'd actually like to use.)

Though, it might mean that she'd only be able to call on her original ability set...Is it possible that I can use the purple-haired Reimu with the (modified for balance) ability set of the current incarnation?

Well, to be honest, I don't know If I can find a way to make the battle really matter about the appearance of each character.
Exept of course you have some kind of idea for suggesting me this.
I was joking for Geralt cause of the new game ^^

Also the image is not working to me.
