The sword badge is still in beta. Soon, though, you all will have the opportunity to earn it - and a whole lot more.

The badge naming scheme has now been changed, meaning we can't find out what future badges will look like until they're actually being handed out, which in my opinion, is a good thing.

Dastardos has also began work on a Walkthrough for 'Phantom of the Arcade' for the people that think it's too much 1337 h4x0r5.

Mmmm... stupid question here but does that mean we can still get that badge or not?

Yep. I've tried to make it as clear as I can that it's still obtainable There's a link in the first post. It's a fun game as well, I'd recommend it even if there wasn't a badge involved.

It's why I'm here In this topic, anyways. Um, what else was I gonna say? Oh yeah, you should try it without the walkthrough first, you don't want to ruin the fun! Its not incredibly difficult but some of it is certainly hard.

I'll keep that in mind and give a crack at it later tonight.

Yeah, I'm thinking that as well due to the description. That might also cover the whole "available in the future, along with plenty more". Also, no other badges seem to have needed a beta so it might be some kind of cool forum battling thing that they need to test out.

Yeah, every day when the promotion was going on, a different question appeared on your profile page. Complete a bunch of them (can't remember the exact amount; I answered them all), and they will give you a badge depending on the alignment of your answers. It's impossible to complete now, as the promotion is over, and the test was a little poll on your profile page that changed everyday, then disappeared.

I said I'd add it after the 9th, when its actually being handed to more people. Also, the dates are formatted that way because I'm English I refuse to change them just because the majority of users are American.

Well it turns out if you have the monster and zombie badges from the halloween contest and you beat the Phantom of the Arcade game you not only earn the badge for beating the game but the Hallo-winner badge as well.
