I used to organize impromptu Soul Calibur tournaments with a handful of friends in high school. I was pretty much unstoppable with Mitsurugi, which demoralized my competition. So we started adding handicaps. Some matches I would play blindfolded; some I would play with one hand. The outcome was always the same. Finally, a friend suggested I fight myself using two Dreamcast controllers. The results of both fights were the same: Double K.O. That day, I proved once and for all that I was unbeatable - even by myself.
Getting every achievement in Assassin's Creed on the 360. Not because it was special in itself, but it was like a sense of freedom, since I made it to the end and a SINGLE mistake meant I missed one achievement. Just one. I'm a bit of an achievement whore, so I played through the whole game again just for that one achievement. Did it too. Then my 360 had the RRoD last week, so that's pissed me off greatly...
Hmm...as sad as it sounds, I'm not sure I can think of any major accomplishments. I used to be able to clear the first wave of Space Invaders with my eyes shut and I had a Master Ability unit in Phantasy Star Online. At one point I was also stupidly good at Soul Calibur, especially with, of all characters, Lizardman.
Before I moved to NC, I had an impressive videogame collection, with 38 different consoles and several hundred games. I guess that was a pretty nifty accomplishment.

I have completed Ocarina of Time over 100 times. And I have completed Master Quest another 17 times. Pathetic as all hell, I know, but when I was younger (I haven't touched either Ocarina or Master Quest in years) my OCD was out of control. As for why it's impressive? I beat the same game over 100 times without losing my mind.
Operation Flashpoint was really hard, but it kicked ass! I played on whatever the middle difficulty is and I died so many times during that game I got up in frustration a few times. Finishing that game would be one of my biggest achievements as well so don't worry about playing on cadet!RAKtheUndead said:

my greatest accomplishment isn't so much of an accomplishment as it was a revelation, i finally beat mike tyson's punch out knocking him out in the third round to beat the game only to watch my cousin beat him in the first round and realizing that i'll never be as good at gaming as my cousin hahahahaha.....my second greatest accomplishment would be beating final fantasy 7 for the first time(of many) that first time took forever and i died ALOT but i kept hacking at it and finally i beat it and man did it feel good!!!!!!!

Do you mean personal sense of accomplishment?
Do you mean social significant with my friends?
Do you mean a difficult "achievement" to get?
I have like a 4th world record for score on Crazy Taxi on Dreamcast, and that was pretty hard to do, as was S(at least)-rank all of Ikaruga (especially chapter 4). I found those both difficult to do.
Personal sense of accomplishment must be the fact that I completed all 111 levels of Supaplex sometime a couple years ago. My dad got me the game when I was 6, and, playing it on and off for 10 years, my brain finally got in shape to figure out and finish every challenge. I find that to be a goal I'm glad I met.
Socially, I won't really list my Online accomplishments since their meaning depends on what game my friends were playing at the moment, but I recently passed through the fire and flames at a friend's house. Which is funny, because I don't even have the game, and I know people can FC it, but I'd like to think just being able to pass it is a good thing. So some people are impressed and proud of me about that, along with my 5 star on Cult of Personality (I love the song...^^)

Getting all the gold medals in portal, which was pretty much hell in the form of a video game. Things like beating an entire an entire level under 4 seconds, or using only 2 portals was just insanely difficult, and made me jump for joy when i had it the achievement unlocked.
I think I was most excited the first time a friend and I successfully finished an uber-Tristram run by ourselves in Diablo II.
But looking back, I think my most significant was when I stopped using cheats to finish games. As a seven year old with a game-genie, you get pretty used to it. I was quite proud when I could finally walk without the crutch.
