Beating Baal in Disgaea for the first time.

So many awesome moments with that game that culminated with defeating the hardest boss.

Getting gold characters and all the unlockables in Guilty Gear games. Hard choices to pick I think.

My greatest gaming acomplishment didn't really happen in the world of gaming.

You see, I grew up in a poor area and couldn't afford Nintendos or Playstations growing up. All the money I made went toward the household budget, and there wasn't much left over for PC games. Yet, I scrimped and svaed down the years and managed to buy a number of games.

Rewind three years, and I'm working in a bakery, doing my thing. We're in a better financial position, so most of the money I'm getting is going toward my own savings. The videos online and on TV start spruiking this thing called a 'XBOX 360', and one of the games, Oblivion.

There was a moment of pure joy, and pure gaming potential when I realised I had enough money for a core system and Oblivion. Those moments of realisation is what I'd call my greatest moment in gaming.

I can recall a few;

I remember being 9th in the world for a few weeks on one of the Mortal Kombat games - I think it was Deception on Xbox. I mainly attribute that to one of the top three players being on my friends list. Hard to suck when someone that good is giving you tips.

I'm rather proud of the fact that I beat Guitar Hero 3 on Expert, and I completely clocked Ninety-Nine-Nights, getting 1000 gamerscore, which was no easy feat with a ridiculously difficult end-level.

Urm, other than that, I was an admin for a fairly large number of servers on Steam...not really an accomplishment, but still, it made me feel all special.

Oh, I've also finished 3 out of 4 Devil May Cry's on all difficulties. I failed to do so on DMC3, but that's not my fault, that's the fault of the designers. And God.

Those are the accomplishments that spring to mind, I've been playing for 11 years now so that's an average of one good thing every 3 years, in which I would suck on every other day.

Making it through the elite 4 in Pokemon blue with one pokemon strong enough to fight them, and no revives or potions
Everyone could do that, you just needed a Kadabra with Fire punch, a rare Candy and the MissingNo cheat.

no, I was using a lvl 60 Blastoise, and no cheating.
You lie. No-one has the patience to get a pokemon up to level 60 without cheating. Thats just superhuman.
Not really, especially if Squirtle was your starter and about the only Pokémon you use it should be around level 60 at that time.

I got a dozen levels into I Wanna Be The Guy in one afternoon without putting my fist through a wall.

For those who've never heard of this game, it's masochism in platforming medium. Each level has any number of ways to send your 8-bit colour character splattering across the screen, and only one real way to avoid it. The timing must be perfect, the jumps calculated, etc. etc.

Mine is very simple but nothing sort of epicly awesome.

Its bitterly cold oldside,a cold Irish winter evening.
its raining to so of course(not that IF it were sunny outside I would not be gaming).
Now to the matter at hand, the game team fortress two.The map and mode Arena,Lumberyard.
I was playing manily with a friend on the sever,he got himself killed early as a scout.I went for as a heavy and someone esle teamed up with me to make a the best known combo on TF2.
all of our team went and got themselves killed(I proably would have ended up with it too if it wasnt for the slow heavy speed).
this made it 6 vs 2 with only my medic standing.
The next minute was the peak of gaming so far,an ecstasy of scout, soldier, demoman, pyro(but the luck in this tale,no spy)the point was now up for cap the score was 2v3 the last blazing 20 seconds of my minute of blazing, bullet filled glory ended with us standing ground on the middle of the point, not the best spot but with how well we were doing our moral was impossibly high whereas the other team moral was totally destoryed. And so we won the mics, the chat where all filled with"OMG n1!" and other such praise.

"My Minute"-The epic tale of my greatest moment, when I stood right in the gaze of the radiant sun of gaming.

Hmmm.... I'm not sure. It's pretty hard to say.
Maybe 151 pokemon in Blue, before I stupidly decided that I wanted to start again.
Maxing my level in Forza 2 perhaps.

I think it's, not directly game related, being made an Admin for a Fable II forum. Shame I didn't really enjoy the game though.

I can tell you what it will be by the end of the year though, 100% completion of Mass Effect, all achievemnets, everything.

I have to say finishing the N+ campaign because it was really, really hard at the end. I was overjoyed when I finally made it.

Why? Because it was one of the most challenging games I had played in a long, long time.
Holy crap i know. That second to last level nearly drove me insane. And I don't have nearly enough time (or patience) to get started on the expert levels. Beating N+ and getting the Mile High achievement in CoD 4 are definitely my top 2.
Oh I finished the Expert levels as well. Indeed some just drove me insane, but I got through them eventually.

Me and a buddy also finished the multiplayer campaign.

1 - how could you get through with only squirtle? Wouldn't you die at the third gym?
2 - you need to use at least 4 HMs to get through the game, how could you advance further in the game if your pokemon only knew 4 HMs?
I think what Lord Zach is saying is that he only needed on Pokemon to fight the Elite 4, not to do the whole game. It's also possible that he has a lot of patience and levelled his Squirtle to 60.

I would say my greatest accomplishment was when I realized what Dwarf Fortress' slogan meant after some serious design flaws in my fortress. "Losing is fun!"

A long time ago I would have said the time I killed Zezima in runescape. [http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s287/klc0100/?action=view&current=yayy.jpg] But now a days its probably my ever improving Tekken 5: Online ranking. ( I recently beat the guy ranked 52nd in the world)

I meant about the only Pokémon you use in (most) battles. It's not a very good tactic but I managed to beat Pokémon Yellow with only one Nidoking that was on a decent level.

Oh.

Also, catching them all.

Every Pokemon that can be legitimately obtained, I have.

Took a while, and some luck. And working at the Pokemon Center New York the summer after I graduated high school.

Completing the first Splinter Cell game. I will probably never play a Splinter Cell game for the rest of my life, but it gives me bragging rights because none of my friends have successfully completed it.

My most significant gaming accomplishment?

Beating Sephiroth on Kingdom Hearts II.

It's not much, but I'm not the most Hardcore gamer in the world.

You know Nova Prospekt? Yeah, yeah, Half Life 2.
I remember this one time that I played all the way through with less than 10 health the entire time. That was fun.

Better still, I was fourth best in Star Wars Battlefront a while ago for a couple weeks.

Skyjacking a Banshee in mid-air from the ground, with the aid of a mancannon, perfect timing and considerable luck.

I was so surprised that I had managed this that I forgot that I was now piloting the thing and crashed it into Valhalla's waterfall and died.
