My favorite gaming accomplishment would be getting to 85% of the Battle Trophies in Star Ocean 3. Sure, I should probably not consider that an accomplishment since it's not 100%, but a lot of those trophies might as well be considered impossible to get.

If I had to pick just one of those trophies as my proudest accomplishment, it would undoubtedly be "Defeat Freya on Universe Mode". It took too many tries to count.

What is your most significant gaming accomplishment and why?

Beating god of war on god mode. If you've played that difficulty you know why I am not going to bother with the 'why' part of the question.
Somehow, God Of War II managed to be even more punishing, to the point where The Barbarian King was harder than Ares (Fuck you giant hammer magic that doesn't work for me)
That is where I stopped on the second one in titan mode.

It was Teleroboxer that did it to me.

That said, I did intend to induce the headache... (i am not emo)
I would sue, but if I won, I'd probably just buy a Virtual Boy.

Well, seeing as how I don't have a real big one, I'll give you some small ones, killing a Banshee in Halo 2 on Coagulation, drove over a hill and LANDED ON THE BASTARD KILLING HIM, in halo 3 I got a perfection in an unranked match(so what if I was camping with a shotgun), getting the Quest Cape in Runescape(since I have not played in a long while I can no longer wear it unfortunately). Screwing my buddy over in a gaming tournament(it was between friends and he had won both years prior and the year after this particular one as well) by losing on purpose anytime I was on his team.

Getting the Virtual Boy headache
I too have gotten this headache. Once while playing Mario's Tennis at Blockbuster and another time while playing Red Alarm on my friend's Virtual Boy.
I used to have a Virtual Boy. Thing made me nauseous. So did Sonic 3d Blast, actually. (I may be getting the name wrong...had an isometric viewpoint and horrible checkered floors.) Ugh.

Oh...so I CAN'T read.

I have accomplishments! Many! Since I judge my completion of a game to be my skill at the game; not some arbitrary level, or action that I have reached... I feel that I need to compare myself to others instead of a preset limit. In FPS's, if I can't kill one or two players in an average life, then I know I'm not too good at it. In RTS's, if I can only build enough to give an enemy a run for their money, I know I need more practice at it.

The greatest accomplishment that I have every achieved is also dependant on what greatest really means. The hardest, requiring the most skill? The most mind-fuckery that I found out by myself? The relentless grindy one that needed 100+ hours sunk into it?
Everyone's definition is different, whether you determine patience, skill, persistence, or luck to be the attributes that you go off will always be a little different based on each situation.

I have a dozen different weapons to display here; but the one that stands out in my mind is learning how to TBF in GunZ. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Unless of course, no-one cares about GunZ. Then I'd say defeating the stacks of games 30 40 piled all around me, and inside my computer. Even though half of them suck, and I regret buying them. Or maybe having enough sheer grit in my blood to conquer just about all of Oblivion, Fallout 1,2,3, and utterly smashing Saints Row 2.

Perhaps the Nymphs of the Great Forests of Awesome Land will be impressed by my prowess in Left 4 Dead? Or my anti-pyro skills as a scout? My destruction of the entire demo of Red Alert 3 in less than thirty minutes?

What's good enough for you?

My biggest gaming accomplishments? I can't pick.

Beating Nebulus [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebulus_(computer_game)] without dying at all.

The only thing that might top that is beating the first level of Super Mario Bros. blindfolded (it was a silly bet, but I surprised myself by managing to do it).

Oh, and managing to guess the password to the last level of a game called Marbles. It was one of those games that instead of saves, it had a bunch of random words that were used to skip to a puzzle.

Beating the first level of Paperboy on NES, when I was 4. The first accomplishment of my illustrious gaming career.

Also, I hate that damn game.

Hmm There's been a couple but the one's that come to mind at the moment are:

1. Beating all the event matches for Super smash bros melee, I don't care if people say they were easy. I found them vein knottingly difficult and so many times I would be tempted to chuck my gamecube controller out the window but I managed to perservere and the feeling I got when I finished the last one was awesome.

2. In the same style, beating all the training challenges in NFL street 1. Stuff like 6 pitches and then going for a touchdown and scoring a touchdown against a better team when they have a gamebreaker a.k.a insta-win were almost impossible and I failed over and over again but finally managed to complete them

3. The one that comes to mind in modern times was in CoD4. Basically my clan has these clan vs clan scrims and we were holding one in Creek. This was the first I attended as a full member. Playing Pam 4 and the score is 10-9 our way so we either draw or win. Our team gets decimated and basically there's me and one guy left against 7. I manage to run through the cave and plant at B and immediately after I do so my amigo gets capped so it's me vs 7. I just go crazy and take down 6 of them with a pistol (they were all sporting assault rifles and smgs) and survived until the bomb went off and got the last guy, pushing me from lower order on the scoreboard to top and winning the game for my clan team. It was an awesome feeling especially when the last guy I got with my pistol is considered to be a CoD freak and he then left TS because he was raging >:D

Making it through the elite 4 in Pokemon blue with one pokemon strong enough to fight them, and no revives or potions
Everyone could do that, you just needed a Kadabra with Fire punch, a rare Candy and the MissingNo cheat.

no, I was using a lvl 60 Blastoise, and no cheating.
You lie. No-one has the patience to get a pokemon up to level 60 without cheating. Thats just superhuman.
Not really, especially if Squirtle was your starter and about the only Pokémon you use it should be around level 60 at that time.
That's how I used to play pokemon. With just my starter

If only I had had that game when I was 14. I was stuck playing Doom II over a BBS I think. And I have to say that even back then it wasn't nearly as exciting as people made it out to be.
