My latest piece, it's really nice and elegant. Enjoy!

Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 25 2nd Movement.
Wow, your technique is really coming along great! Good job.
One thing, though, that I'm sure you'll notice if you watch the video, is that you don't get the same curvature out of your fifth finger (right hand), and sometimes when you play the notes with it, it seems like you're using more wrist than finger. (great for jazz. Sometimes. Classical, not so much.) Also, be careful not to accent the top notes of melodic lines.

Thanks! That's really good to hear!

Yeah that fifth finger has always been a worry, I'm not quite sure how I'm supposed to get it to stay down. It's a bit of a hangover from how I type (I only use my 2nd finger on each hand), everything else sticks up) which just comes from being self taught.

This is also really embarrassing on my behalf, but what's a melodic line? At least once I'm told I'll know which notes to not accent!

Been a little while since I've posted on this thread, but here yah go. It's from an open mic I did with a buddy a few weeks ago, I have a better video but this is the only one we've uploaded to youtube so far.

That was excellent. Very tight, and a very nice voice.
Thanks man, we're trying to get out more, we'll be in Boston in two weeks playing open mics there if everything works out haha. And for the record, it's not me singing, its my buddy, I just do harmony since his voice is great

Don't worry too much, it'll straighten itself out if you play stuff with more fifth finger (you will.)

A melodic line is the line that makes up the melody of the song. It's usually the top voice (note) in the right hand.

Ah, so basically I'm just playing some of the right hand bits too loud?

Well, yes and no.
You'll have the phrase, and it'll be fine, but the highest note of the phrase will be slightly accented, and it throws the balance off. It's really hard not to do.

Ah ok. So basically I'm just playing the highest notes in a lot of the right hand melodies (which in this piece is often an F natural) a little louder than the others and it's throwing it off somewhat? That's something to work on!

Yup!
It's really natural-feeling to do that, but it makes it sound whacky.

Hopefully it's something that works itself out naturally as I become smoother at playing things. If not you can always berate me about it!

Duuuude, those sound fucking awesome, did you play the instruments in the first two and record yourself?
Yeah, I just ran it through a Line 6 digital amp plugged into my amp. I think I play everything except for the drums, which is a drum machine.

And thanks!
No problem!

Here I just recorded this a few minutes ago, it's a song that is very easy to play and that I learned in a few minutes earlier today. This is the first vid I am showing here so I hope people like it ;) :

Here is the actual song so people can judge whether my playing was spot-on or not:

I'm still learning bass to really get a song down, working on Mayhem "Chainsaw Gutsfuck" and "Deathcrush" because those bass solos though simple are pretty awesome.
Dude if you really like those songs check out the vids I recorded last year:

Yeah the sound really sucks but my amp is just terrible when it's too loud.

Since I have already posted two of my previous vids I'll post this one too:

Thanks for noticing ;), hope you add me to the list as guitarist, hopefully later on I'll also provide other instruments, but for now I'll upload vids of me playing guitar.

I have it bookmarked, so if I see anything new I'll always check it out.

I'm not too sure there's much point adding anyone else to the band list, the idea never got off the ground after all the initial hype.

Awww I'm sure me and everyone else will appreciate you adding to the list, every once in a while people keep adding to this thread, people clearly like this section. It's up to you whether to continue or not but I'm sure everyone would appreciate to see this thread alive and updated frequently.

Again, thanks for adding me to the list. Hope to see it continue to grow and I'll be sure to keep contributing later on.

I suppose you have a fair enough point there. I'll always update people's videos into the opening few posts, but I didn't see the need to do with the band after the initial idea crashed. Still, I suppose there's no harm in doing so if people request it, and who knows, someone might be organised enough to put it all together. I'm just happy learning my individual little pieces. I'll add you to the list now.

Here's another song I wrote. Was kind of just messing around with this one, but it came out good.

First bass cover ever. Plus, it's been a while since I've actually done a video than with something that was just a picture with music, so, yea!
