I've been fairly happy with Final Fantasy XIV until recently (especially when Squeenix FINALLY added an inventory auto-sort function, among some other things) but for some strange reason, when I get to the character select screen and click on my one character (being able to change jobs whenever is rather handy/neat, as far as I'm concerned), it goes to "Now Loading..." then promptly turns my monitor off and restarts my computer. Um.. Yay. So I ended up canceling the account, which will last until the end of this
new free trial period. Conveniently received a 7 day free access e-mail from Blizzard for WoW so.. That was nice timing..
I played the Cataclysm beta and from what I got to try out, it was pretty fun! Can't really complain about what I've experienced during this 7 day access either.. Not being able to change job/class on one character is kinda lame (multiple characters all going separately isn't
that fun, although at least the quests are fairly different.
Still not sure if I'm going to commit to the game again though, I have other games on my list and may not have that much free time otherwise. However, I noticed EBGames Australia's online store still has Collector's Editions available (strictly 1 per customer) and $108 AUD isn't
too bad for a cool soundtrack, exclusive in-game pet, expansion disc AND art book..
Thanks for giving a better look at the contents, John! The art book is especially quite shiny..
