"The Escapist" sense of humor (contest-relevant)

I'm trying to gauge/feel out the general sense of humor that the community here has. I've watched a few of the series on The Escapist for a while but I've never really interacted with the community. To cut to the chase, I'm curious if you all appreciate my sense of humor because I'm entering the film festival.

So I ask all of you to check out the following videos and give me your opinions on them. I really just need feedback so if you could tell me what you did and didn't like about them or how funny you thought they were that'd be great. Also, if you could post your favourite Escapist series then that'd be great too! (multiple series are fine) Thanks!


EDIT: As much as it seems like the goal of this was to advertise my group it really wasn't so I moved the link to my YouTube account to my profile. I just need some feedback so telling me which Escapist series is you're favourite and other series/comedy groups you enjoy would help me greatly! Thanks and..please don't ban me!! ^_^;;;;

This could almost apply as advertisement... Actually, this is advertisement. Although the videos where very funny. You're better than average, and your humor doesn't consist of swearing all the time, so that's a plus.

I'm going to guess that it's probably not a good idea to advertise your videos in the video contest on here in this manner, especially when you've joined just to do so. Sorry, but it isn't in the spirit of the community to do something like this.

I realize that now..but this seriously is the only way to gauge whether or not you guys like our stuff. It's not an advertisement thing but..if they feel like this is groundless advertising then I apologize. I honestly don't care about the views I'd get nearly as much as care about getting your opinions so I can improve the pilot I'm making.

I think this classes as advertising. You'll want to be careful about doing that here on the Escapist.

However, they were good. Ima agree with HUBIBLUB.

Oh my. It sure is advertising,but "how to kill people on Call Of Duty 4" vid is just hilarious.

Plus,as people noted,you don't spew profanities like every other comedian on Youtube.

Watched a couple of them so far. You guys are actually quite good.

Camera work needs work, stop abusing the zoom. And the script can get a bit dead air heavy at times. But you're better than alot of guys who try this stuff.

And yes, this can definetely be construed as advertising. But throw your hat in for the Video Contest, you've probably got my vote. At any rate you guys have potential to make some really good stuff.

Love that first joke in the Tenchu review.

Your stuff is pretty funny, i really like it. Does anyone know if you can do the night vision goggle thing on MW2? The Tenchu 4 review did get slightly boring, but picked up as soon as you started acting it out in real life.

Yea, the Tenchu 4 thing is ALL in the latter half.

You can't. I'm rank 39 (playing right now PSN: Danji) and it disappointed me...as you would imagine after making that video. I was hoping to make a joke about it being a perk in MW2 (pronounced: Mew-two) automatically do that to people when they die. Other than that..great game.

My favourite series is Doomsday Arcade. It has its own storyline but also involves computer games heavily. The humour is often dry and sometimes well thought out.

I too am trying to gauge the humour on here. I'm trying to put something together which I think could really add to the site, but I want to get it targetted perfectly before I unleash my pitch to Ardent, Pitts and co. It's varied, some people like utter filth and degradation. Yet some people take surprisingly puritan views on some subjects, which seems odd considering the occasional tone of Yahtzee.
