The Escapist should get Angry Joe on the team

I love his angry reviews but lately he's been reviewing good games which doesn't make for much angry material. He's a good game reviewer for sure, but when he actually likes a game it's not as entertaining.

I think it would be great to have him do a weekly rant video on something that pisses him off.

I dunno, we kind of already have a good couple of people for that. Yahtzee, moviebob, some weeks they won't be angry, but you can usually bet at least one of them will be.

Yeah but the style is different. When yahtzee gets pissed, he goes after it in a dry, vulgar kind of way. Which is funny to an extent, but there's only so far you can go with it. Moviebob doesn't really get angry as much as he gets annoyed.
Again like both of them. I just think angry joe would make a good addition to the line up.

Meh, if we were going to have anyone here, I'd rather TotalBiscuit than AngryJoe.

We already have one cynical Brit here (possibly 2 include Jim in that, although he's less so), why not the one that has that as his title? =P

Of course this is without taking into account how much it would cost and all that jazz to have them here.

Joe is awesome, but I don't think he would fit into Escapist style. He likes to do random videos and he never follows strict schedule.

I don't care for Angry Joe or Guy with Glasses. I find they both try to hard and all the yelling and over acting is just annoying to me however they are popular so if people like them I say enjoy it till your hearts content.

Well, it depends on the quality of the game in question. He can get quite heated when dealing with particularly bad titles:

It's a nice thought, but Joe's part of Channel Awesome. His reviews are uploaded to the That Guy With the Glasses website as well as his own.

Uh, isn't he with Blistered Thumbs and by extension That Guy With The Glasses? Anyway, his taste in games is pretty good, but his personal favorites continue to baffle me. Anyway, pretty cool guy, but I'd rather he stay with TGWTG.

I personally don't find him particularly funny or insightful.
So I'm not too heartbroken to hear that he'll probably stay where he is.

Not that I would have cared either way. I don't have to watch, or like, everything the Escapist has to offer.

Why would he do that? He's already doing pretty well with TGWTG. Besides, do we really need another guy getting angry at things in detail on this site?

He's much better than Sterling, so I would have no argument there if they replaced one with the other.. but The Escapist already has more than enough "Angry Nerds" on the roster. Unless he's replacing someone else, Angry Joe would not bring anything to the site that it doesn't already have.

We might also bring Matt and Pat on board for some Escapist lets plays if they can afford to pay them I'm sure the lavish salary that Machinima is paying them.

That would be fantastic. Two of the five channels I'm subscribed to right here. I'm so on board with that. Thing is, Angry Joe has his own site and his own app on phones. I don't think he'd be happy to be here. ... So he'd be angry...

I actually don't like the angry parts of his reviews or the comedic parts. I prefer his reviews just because they go really indepth compared to most others.

I do like him, but I think his skits are absolutely terrible. And he has them in every video.

I personally don't really see the need to have him here. I follow him just fine already.

I actually like the idea, and think the Escapist may be a good fit for Joe. He's a smarter reviewer than he lets on, and god knows that amongst the likes of Yahtzee and Jim, the Escapist could use more reviewers with Joe's more grounded, less snooty perpective.

Don't get me wrong, I love Yahtzee, Jim, and Moviebob, I just think we might benefit from someone who sees things from a slightly different angle, and Joe does view games from a much more "Average gamer" POV then anyone we have here.

I don't think his style would really work on The Escapist. Most videos on here tend to be shorter and more concise, whereas Joe's reviews often go on for upwards of 20 minutes.

That and, personally, I'm not a big fan. I do like how in-depth his reviews are but a lot of stuff could be cut out and the skits aren't all that funny (and are sometimes just downright annoying.)
