I don't really have a favorite love song.

Anything by Marvin Gaye would be a good choice.
'Your Song' (The Elton John or Ellie Goulding version; both are good) is also good.
For an unusual choice I pick 'Closer' by Nine Inch Nails, although that seems more like a lust song than a love one.

Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman by Bryan Adams, and Old Fashioned Love Song by Paul Williams. They're just so...pure. Just pure loyalty and contentment. They're not about physical beauty or physical love. They're about the kind of love that is lasting and unrelenting.

That is one of the hidden gems of their career. I actually love Lullabies to Paralyze because of songs like that.

As for my favourite love song, I'm gonna be really imaginative and say "Lovesong" by The Cure. It's so simple, so brilliant, and manages to find a sadness in a promise of lifelong devotion without detracting from the sweetness of it. In fact, just put that as a definition of the band.
If not that then probably "Classic Girl" by Jane's Addiction.

While I love most of the songs of Lullabies, with my favorites being I Never Came, Tangled Up In Plaid and Someone's In The Wolf. I still like Songs For The Deaf the most. I don't think they will ever top that, even if Lullabies was close.

Yeah that's fair to say, but most bands will never make anything close to Songs for the Deaf even once, so to manage it again it would be very impressive. They're a band I find so constantly great that saying "this is my least favourite album" becomes like saying "this is my least favourite bar of gold that I own."

Huh well I read the title and my mind went blank and then threw up three random examples of songs that are tangentially related but fail to answer the question:

Well...
What that says about my idea of love is probably best not analysed too deeply.

My more serious answer: Gordon Lightfoot:

The Ministry of Lost Souls by Dream Theater, and I'm not even sure it's a love song, sure has the same affect, though.

Haha dude no way? Actually so jealous!
Day after my birthday too, haha. Got loads of awesome gigs coming up, Nas & Damian Marley, GZA, DJ Shadow, maybe Snoop Dogg, who's touring with Warren G I believe, and a shitload others. It's a good year for gigs so far. :p
Are you in America or Britain aha. Might have to look into some of these!

EDIT: Or somewhere else of course :p
England, Manchester specifically. I think Cunninlynguists are going to London, Manchester and Bristol. I'm not sure about the rest, I've lost track of how many I'm going to now, I just buy them and when the time comes I'm like "oh shit, I'm going to that?"
Haha sounds like a good method. Unfortunately I have plans for the only day they're in London. Damn! Some other time perhaps...
