So many games to me it looks like you consider all of the games to be the most expected. Like if you made the most downloaded torrents list and then you make the list of all the torrents in alphabetical order to make it worse.

At first I thought they wouldn't put Witcher 3 in the list..before noticing it's in alphabetical order derp.

There are so many awesome games coming out in 2014 it's insane. Here are some of mine that I look forward to:

. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
2. Pillars of Eternity
3. Dragon Age: Inquisition
4. Dark Souls 2
5. Titanfall
6. Watch Dogs
7. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
8. World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor
9. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls
10. Transistor
11. The Division
12. Thief
13. Hotline Miami 2
14. South Park: The Stick of Truth

I am pretty sure Kingdom Hearts 3 will not be coming out this year. That would be awesome no doubt, but I wouldn't count on it.

Smash Bros. is probably my number 1 most anticipated game. Unless we find out that Zelda U will be coming this year, which I seriously doubt.

Zelda Warriors, Mario Kart, Kirby, Halo 5, and some others I can't think of at the moment have me excited. Though I would need to make the plunge and get Xbox One for Halo, and I would rather not. :/

Well, personally I am anticipating Super Smash Bros. quite a bit.
Bravely Default is already out here and I intend to buy it at some point soon.
I do kinda want Watch Dogs.
I backed the Kickstarter for Wasteland 2.
There's also Tales of Xillia 2 which I am thrilled is coming to Europe (getting special edition if it comes).

However one game stands above them all. There's one I simply have to buy. That is X. I know nothing about the game, but I have heard it's due out for 2014 and I intent to get it. It looks awesome and they did a great job on Xenoblade.

A lot of obvious contenders, a few bizarre ones, but what bothers me the most is the lack of X.

Seriously, the one title that could actually convince me to buy a freakin' Wii U - and it's not even on a "Most Anticipated"-list? You've got the likes of Lego: The Hobbit and Mario Kart 8 on there, but not the spiritual successor to Xenoblade Chronicles? Shame on you!

If I get my hands on Watch Dogs I will be the happiest man in the world. Nothing else will matter.

Dark Souls 2 and Transistor are probably the two games I'm most excited about.

No fans of The Longest Journey or Dreamfall on the Escapist staff? Pity. Dreamfall: Chapters is easily one of my most anticipated games of the year alongside Transistor and Pillars of Eternity.

Can I put an honourable mention in for "Age of Wonder 3"? It's a fantasy civ style game but with a plot due out in the first quarter of this year and looks amazing. The first two are old-ish games available on Steam and they're great fun (though a lot of the maps become a doddle once you can summon freaking dragons) It's not the biggest game incoming but it looks lovely and if it's as good as the last one could become one of those games you keep coming back to. Or it may blow, your opinions may vary!

The D section on this list much covers a big chunk of it for me. Dragon Age Inquisition, Destiny and Dark Souls 2 are huge for me. Deep Down looks like it has a lot of promise, and the Diablo 3 expac will make a nice treat on the side.

Kingdom Hearts 3 and Persona 5? I might have to buy Sony products again.

Murdered Soul Suspect sounds like it's a gritty Ghost Trick, not sure how I feel about that.

Huh. There's actually quite a few games that look pretty good (Hyrule Warriors and Transistor especially). I might actually get into the current gen eventually, when the console prices are lower.

I'm not sold on X. They might not be able to recreate the magic. That's why I didn't do a writeup of it.

If it's great, pleasantly surprised. If it's not, uncertainty justified. I'm a better-safe-than-sorry kind of dude.

I loved Bayonetta, so Bayonetta 2 is an obvious one for me. Dark Souls 2, Hotline: Miami 2 and Infamous: Seconds Sons. Sequels are kind of an easy pick since I know more about them. Hyper Light Drifter and Transistor have my interest, but I want to see more of them before I get excited.

KH3 is more likely to be next year than this year, since instead we have 2.5.

Otherwise, the only game I'm looking forward to is TESO, which I can't get because of the subscription model... its going to be a sad year for me.

I've also been a HUGE Diablo III fan.

Sure, it wasn't as great as D2 + LOD, but i still genuinely enjoyed the game and sunk over a hundred hours into it.

Haters gonna hate

Looks like it'll be an interesting year, there are many games in that list that I hadn't heard about that manage to get me excited.

Nintendo and Koei have always had a close relationship. So close, in fact, that there once existed the nucleus of an idea to make a Dynasty Warriors game with Pokemon. As brilliant as that idea is, it was apparently shelved due to the desire by Nintendo to keep its Pocket Monsters away from hands-on violent combat. No, the simple idea of animals that are forced to fight for money is good enough.
Didn't that just end up becoming Pokemon Conquest? I guess using Pokemon in a bid for world conquest is a step up from legalized cock-fighting...
