I'm from the UK, and here there has recently been a new wave of Music called Dubstep that has swarmed across the country, And i was wondering a few things about it...

Is it known about to escapist members in other countries?
Do you like Dubstep?
If so, What is your favourite Dubstep track?

PS, For anyone who would like a taste of what Dubstep is if they are unaware, this is a good example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZMfhtKa-wo

It's fairly popular here in Canada amongst those who listen to electro in the first place. I myself can't stand dubstep. It's just to slow-paced for my tastes. I prefer Daft Punk, Eric Prydz, Justice, etc.

I'm listening to Flux Pavilion right now on Pandora and I LOVE it! Great to play loud on a slow work day.

"No escapecapecapecapeccccapecccape"

In all seriousness, dubstep is rather decent. Although I don't see a real point in calling it a different name other then techno. It seems just like some louder sounding techno to me.
Also just my opinion, but a good amount of it sounds sort of the same. :\

My favorite one is probably Cragga's Please Mr Postman remix.

Ooooohhhh, I want to wear my hipster hat. It's dusty and doesn't get used often.

Seriously though, yeah it's good. It's definitely moved more to the electro side, which is a good thing imo.

I like it.

There's already a thread on this topic:

If you really want to know what I think then you can read it there.

Well, I tried listening to the vid in the link you gave and I didn't manage to listen to it for more than just 15 seconds

For my opinion, calling it absolute rubbish is too kind

There is some terrible Dustep, it sound sliek cats fighting. Although there are some epic dubsteps around so i would say im a fan of it. I love the lyrical dub's such as the link you posted and other Nero stuff. Aswel as the huge bass songs and industrial styles like Structured noises & bratkilla.

So yeah im a fan.

Its funny how popular this video became after the huge "dubstep boom" i remember it having only 30000 views...

I'm fairly keen on it, in my opinion it's gotten far to heavy and mechanical recently. My dubstep taste tends towards the 'dub' side of the movement, for example:

Meh, it's not the kind that makes me want to pull out my own eardrums, but it's not something i'd listen to if i could help it either.

Though all those who try cramming it down my throat can rightly, with all due respect to them, go f**k themselves.

Skrillex is fucking garbage, and any dubstep that reverts to "wubwubwuwbubwubwubwuwbu" I could probably make in FX studio with some samples of the clip and 10 minutes of my time.

Here is some half decent dubstep.

I got a friend who is Deeply in love with Dubstep, so I've grown to appreciate some of it.

I don't go out of my way to look for it though, nor promote it.

You caught me on one of my few breaks from my Skrillex Radio on Pandora.
So yes, I absolutely love the genre, of course, I also love all kinds of music. Well, all except Country and Rap; I'm lukewarm on Country and Rap.

My only qualms are the fact that there's a noticeable divide in the community and they tend to be hateful, and the even more prevalent immaturity of a lot of listeners.
Seriously, just go to any Skrillex video and you'll find the dumbest comments that are highest rated.
