Nope. I don't want to simply observe. Yeah, I'm fine just observing now, but a thousand years from now? A few billion? ALl the way to our universe's thermodynamic limits and heat death? Hell no.

I was meaning to point out that they aren't actually predecessors. They are a contemporary cousin. We ourselves are primates, no matter what odd-ball theory of evolution you adhere to.

Nah, not really. I'm all for immortality and watching how planets and their species change over time, but I'd still want to be able to do stuff. Just watching would slowly begin to nag at me. I'd probably start to lose it or develop some mental disorder from not being able to do anything but watch.

So no, I'd rather not.
