"Yeah I was pretty good. Actually I was the number one contender when...all of this happened. I thought I had it all figured out. I was going to win the fight for the title then win a couple title defenses to prove I deserved it. Then I was going to retire and spend time with my wife and kids. But none of that ever happened." Joseph took the joint, put it in his mouth, and breathed in deep. He held it for a second or two before coughing heavily.

Yeah sorry just back from a black out due to a hurricane passing through my area.

Satisfied, Ethan slung the rifle around on its sling and holstered his pistol. He wouldn't need it for the time being especially since he has found a new rifle to use. Ethan made his way to the window watching the streets making sure there would be no unwelcome guests at the door.

"I'll take watch..." Ethan said as he leaned against the wall adjacent to the window. Keeping to a small profile Ethan squatted down and leaned on one knee with his rifle close to his chest.

[Smiley]

Smiley stood up and wiped the sweat off his face. He fells much better now. After a quick inspection Smiley found enough pills to last him for almost five months. The rest of the medicine would prove to be very useful if they were to encounter people that would need it.
"Call me when you lose your patience" Smiley says to Ethan.
That music... Why is there such a thing in the city? Might it be connected with the absenceof the dead?

Name: Jack Hammond
Age: 31
Profession(Before the outbreak of the pandemic): Jack played a double agent roll for a dangerouse gang he was in. He infiltrated the police before he got a criminal record so that his gang could keep one step ahead of the police. He doesn't talk about it anymore, however and claims to be a clinical psychologist.
Experience with firearms(None/Some/Extensive): Extensive
Preferred job: Jack learned a few tricks in his past and so takes whatever job is going.
appearence: Jacks most destincitve facial feature is his eyes. He has bright green eyes. He has black hair, going grey in places, but this isn't really noticable unless you look closely. He has a boney jaw and light stubble, with a long thin mouth. He has a hard gaze that shows detemrination in everything he does. he has broad shoulders and an athletic build. Despite his appearence, he isn't too good at bare hand combat. He is tall at about 6'2.

Jack opened his eyes slowly and looked around the room. He saw a large man in the same room as him with a gun against his chest and another man standing. There were other people in the room, but these two stood out the most. He had been with this group for a while, but had never really said much. He sat up straight and fully woke himself up from his sleep. There was music playing loudly in his right ear, which rested a small black headphone. He stumbled up onto his feet and walked to the closest window. He couldn't see anything new in the distance.
This is so boring.
Jack stepped away from the window as a sudden memory through itself into his head. He closed his eyes. It always came after he awoke. He sighed and decided to explore the building a bit. He hadn't really looked around. He began to wander around the building in the hope that someone would address him.
It's boring with no one to talk to.

Ethan nodded and looked at the calm streets. It was an eerie sight seeing streets completely empty save for the debris or trash floating around in the wind. The music has yet to cease as the sounds of drums and guitars play in the background.

"It's so damn quiet..." Ethan whispered beneath his breath as he was awaiting silently for his weariness to set in. The rifle began to leave its weight on Ethan's arms as they soon began to tire. Then out of the corner of his eye a figure shuffled about across the street. Ethan turned and he saw in the low night light an undead. Unlike one of the roamers this one was headed, if not slowly, towards the source of the music. Like a moth drawn to a flame the zombie dragged its limp foot down the street where the music came from.

Ethan observed the lonely zed walking down the street. It was an odd feeling looking at things that used to resemble something else. In this case it was a stomach turning feeling for Ethan for he could never get used to the sight of a zombie no matter how many he's killed. Each of them had a unique face, or sometimes, even an identity. They all walked or sometimes crawled. They all seemed so familiar to Ethan but even before the outbreak he probably never knew them. It reminded Ethan of a silly saying that his sister always said to him:

There is no such thing as a stranger... strangers are just people who we haven't met eye to eye yet. What's strange about that? She always said while looking at him with her kind green eyes. This zed also had traces of green eyes as well. Ethan put his hand against his head as his eyes began to swell..

Elizabeth Williams was immediately aware of the dream, she stood alone at the end of the small gravel path that cut through the forest of coniferous trees to the open clearing and feeling the chill that lingered in the still air wrapped her hands around her bare arms and shivered. The first drop of rain fell from the overcast grey sky and landed on her arm as Elizabeth reached out to the rusted iron gate that marked the entrance to the small stone church. The resulting screech broke the deathly silence that gripped the forest and Elizabeth was quick to slip through and gently close the gate behind her with the minimal of noise.

Elizabeth hurried up the path as the dripping rain turned into a shower and began to soak through her clothes at an alarming rate. Pushing open the creaking wooden door to the church she stepped in and firmly shut the door behind her to block out the sound of the bad weather. She turned and stopped dead at the sight of the faceless congregation that fully occupied the two columns of wooden pews. They turned their smooth featureless faces to Elizabeth and their expressionless gaze followed her as she walked up the aisle to the altar. The congregation was made up of men and women all dressed in their different work clothes. She spotted police officers, shop keepers and even a soldier among the crowd. Each held a blank hymn book.

It was only when she reached the altar did Elizabeth understand, on the front row of the left hand column of pews she spotted some of her family. Her father. Her mother. Even her daughter. Looking out across the sea of people Elizabeth realised that they represented the people she had killed. It seemed her consciousness had neatly discarded the fact that they had all been the living dead at the time. Somewhere deep down did she feel guilty? Turning to face the front of the small church she saw that a single stone statue of a weeping angel stood behind the altar, hands covering it?s face, she recognised it immediately and walking up to it ran her hands down the smooth stone broken by various bullet holes. It was a visual representation of the one thing Elizabeth could never forgive herself for.

The meaning of the dream was clear now, Elizabeth felt remorse at the lives she had taken, even if they had been Zombies at the time. The part of her mind that still identified the remaining human in them, the part she had suppressed so long ago, was now crying out in her dreams demanding that she account for, or at least recognise her actions. Elizabeth simply closed her eyes and when she opened them again she was back in the dark bedroom of the apartment. Back to the grim reality of the post-outbreak world.

Wiping a tear from her tired eyes she jumped up and walked out into the other room collecting a bottle of water from her bag before sitting down opposite Ethan. Something caught him, a stirring emotion inside, and Ethan raised a hand to swelling eyes. Elizabeth took a sip of water and offered him the bottle. She knew the feeling all too well.

?Hey, you alright??

Ethan sighed deeply and gave a quick glance towards Elizabeth. Ethan readjusted himself as he wiped a trailing tear with his sleeve.

"It's funny that one of the greatest cliches in the history of man brought down mankind you know? The one about us being the greatest enemies we will ever know. It's all so Shakespearean that the reason why the zed is now the most abundant life form that we have on the planet is the reason that we existed in the first place. I know that the virus affects animals too but they can sense that shit from a mile away. We're the reason why it spread, we could even be the reason why this virus even existed but that's all speculation anyway." Ethan breathed in the ragged air inside the apartment as his eyes were still fixated on the zed moving across the street. It had not ceased in movement and will most likely never.

"Here I stand; I can do no other." Ethan said. "My sister used to be a philosophy major before the outbreak. All those years deciding what's right or wrong, what's just or unjust, what's practical or simply circumstantial down the drain. I don't know where she is now. To be honest, I hope she's in a better place than in this world. New York ... that's were, she was 16 blocks away from ground zero too. There's no way in hell I can probably get to her... she had the most fantastic eyes... an emerald color no matter where she was..." Ethan trailed off as memories of her rushed through his weathered mind like a stream freshly opened. Ethan crossed his arms as he was wrapped in thought. He turned to see Elizabeth politely offering him some water but her politely declined.

Jack had been in practically every room in the building and decided to have a look outside. He walk to the window near the front door and kicked one of the boards off. He had a look outside. There was a surprisingly small amount of zombies outside. He could only see one feasting in the entrance of an alley. Must have something to do with the music. He came back inside and walked upstairs. He continued up onto the roof. When up, he sat there with his legs dangling from the side. He began to whistle the tune of the song playing in his ear quietly.

[Moses]

Moses stood in the courtyard, observing the arrival of a few more dead.
The crash made a loud sound, but still... where are the dead of Los Angeles?
He heard someone whistle a tune and looked up, catcching a glimpse of a pair of legs, swinging back and forth to the beat of the tune. "Get off the roof and stop slacking off" Moses called to the man sitting on the roof.

[Smiley]

Smiley had filled his back-pack with all of the medication he found. In the back of the pile was an antique rifle. (Hebrew)"You've got to be kidding me" he said out loud and grabbed it. He observed the mechanism and was surprised to see that it was intact and looked operational. He found an old half empty dusted ammunition box of Springfield .308 and loaded the rifle.
(Hebrew)"Just like Fathers'" he said as he finished loading the Lee Enfiled Mark II in his hands. He tossed it behind it back along with his golf club and walked into the living room.
"Are you all ready?" He asked the others.

Elizabeth could only offer an empathetic smile, she knew all too well the volatile mixture of feelings burning inside Ethan and desperately wanted to say some words of comfort. Elizabeth knew all too well that no such words existed and closing her mouth she stood up when Ethan had finished, retreating into his thoughts, a slight smile crossed her lips at the recognition. Elizabeth could see herself in Ethan.

Reaching out she put a hand on his shoulder. ?Hey, it gets better, it really does.?

Walking away before her own painful memories resurfaced she passed a brief smile to Smiley who asked if everybody was ready and nodded.

?Yeah.? Elizabeth remarked collected her things.

Ethan stretched his legs as he arose from his crouch. He turned to Smiley and nodded. There would be another time for mourning and remembrance. Ethan took the rifle by its handguard and then held it correctly. He stored his crowbar in his bag and tapped all his pouches making sure that all the magazines were all in place and they were.

"Let's go..." Ethan said with a firm voice.

Location Fail. Venom, you're not with us at the moment, you're at the mansion.
*cough* Look at the exiting things happening there, like the growing congregation following a sick perverte man. You should address Moses since he's there, along with Im Skeletor.

Jack had made his way into the courtyard, as he assumed he could finally talk to someone. He stood next to Moses and looked back up to the roof. He looked back at the man and asked, "What's your name brother?"
Jack didn't normally say much, but that was obviously a question that needed to be answered.
"and do you mind if i step outside for a bit?"
