well, if i have school, then i have to close my eyes and try to be as peaceful as possible. if it is the weekends i just play until i feel tired and am normally out like a light within 3-5 minutes, hah.

i stay awake, and don't take any caffine or similar.

i then slog through the following day functioning on no sleep, and have an early night the following evening. this resets MY body clock, so that i can go to sleep earlier, and it helps with those early mornings.

though my friends tell me that such a technique shouldn't work, but it clearly works for me

I have a lot of sleeping problems, but not really from not being tired.

But when that is the problem, I usually feel better after washing my face/hair, or doing something physically exerting to make my body more tired (a bunch of push-ups, say).

I fall asleep by turning all the lights off, turning on a fan, turn on the TV, turn on a sleep timer, so after a certain time period has passed the TV turns off, and I watch TV until I fall asleep.

Form a routine. Start working out (or if you already do work out harder). Go to bed late and get up early. Do more in the day and you will be tired as hell by the end of it.

I find that I'll get tired around 1130-1230, but if I don't go to bed by this time I'll catch a second wind and be up until who knows when. It's like my body knows when to party.
