NOBODY was shitting on the concept of family. They were shitting on the bigots that use the concept of family as a weapon in an effort to demean others, trample on their rights, and tell them how to live their lives.
Errr...Hate to be "that guy", but:

So, why the fuck in the Western world if someone does something a bit taboo, a threesome, swinging, being gay, giving a homeless person money, it breaks "family values" and the sort.
Because its not about family, its about bigotry. When politicians say "family values" its a dog whistle for homophobia, transphobia, sexism and often racism as well, not to mention bigotry towards polyamourous relationships.
Anywho, back to family. How important is it to you?
Are we talking the family you're born into or the family that you build around you? Because the former is bullshit and the latter is, well, the sane option. Literally half of my family doesn't think people like me should be allowed to exist, whether I "merely" be tossed in prison or exterminated in death camps, Nazi style. Anybody who insists that its the former and tries to use any sort of force to enforce it upon you isn't your family, they're your captors.
Which IS kinda shitting on the concept of family, although at least it's for understandable reasons (Seriously, I don't know how I would be able to live with my family hating me because of some arbitrary bullshit).
Anyway, having read most of this topic, I think you're jumping WAAAAYYY too hard on Mister K here. Having read his initial post, he does not come off as some bigot or hater.
At worst, he's one of those "My life is fine, don't make a big fuss about stuff that doesn't affect me" guys. Which, YES, is a bad thing, but it's nowhere near the same as someone who actually is trying to crush people's right because they're some hateful prick.
And I SERIOUSLY hope you're not saying the "I haet all them whiiite cis men they shuld die" people aren't out there. Because they are. Fortunately, 90% of them are confined to Tumblr blogs, like the insane tiny minority they are.
Actually on that note, why the HELL are you even going on Fox News forums?! No one there will listen to anything other than far right wing madness, and of course there's going to be bigoted assholes on there, that's the whole audience fox news is after! You'd have better luck getting a baked potato to change it's mind than someone on a fox news forum! Same thing for youtube comments, I rarely ever bother scrolling down anymore, so much of it is trolls and assholes.

Now, that being said,

Mister K, for any kind of social change, there NEEDS to be anger and yelling and stuff that makes a fuss. Because otherwise, the majority of people who are not affected by the problem will never get around to fixing it, because it's "not their problem" and "Well, I'm fine, so everyone else should be, right?"
It's a logical state of mind that we settle into. I'm a straight white male Canadian living in an upper middle class family and I've rarely ever been left needing/wanting, so I never realized the issues that gay/trans people have had to put up with until they made a big enough fuss that it came to my attention. I also have to remind myself whenever I get frustrated how damn privileged I am to have a meal I don't particularly like on the table when there are people out there starving or enslaved or rummaging in the trash for food.
It's natural to slip into just taking our lives as the "standard" and feel like if we're fine, then the world is fine. Because our worldview is limited to what we can see and experience. As a result, we need to consciously make ourselves aware that others may not have it as good as us, and we should take steps whenever possible to help them reach that point too. Or at least we need to be conscious of how damn good we have it.
That said, the majority of the actual off-the-wall radicals need to get some damn perspective. If I ever meet one in real life, I will tell them so, and if they don't like it, they can go do something very rude to themselves.
NOW, one thing I want to make clear though:

I want to have children, that aren't a mixture of all tropes that screenwriters use in their writing to try and get an Oscar (i.e. handicapped autisitc trans gay racial minority), but an actual people, gender and sexuality be damned.
I DO hope you realize this makes you look bad, as it implies that handicapped/autistic/trans/gay kids aren't people. The last bit offsets this as it implies you don't care what they are and are fine with it, and you just hope not to have kids that are somehow a blend of everything in some weird too-movie-like-way, but it still carries the VERY bad implication either way for people who don't take the time to REALLY look into it.
I am willing to recognise that people that are not like me are people too, but I am also willing to point out that minorities should not tell the majority how to live and they should not regulate how the world works (intellectual minority/majority question aside.
Same deal here. It looks like you're saying "Hey, the minority shouldn't be able to dictate policy at all" which means that they can't make sure they aren't discriminated against. The minority usually NEEDS to make a big fuss to get the majority to pass the laws that are going to protect them.
I hate radicals with all my heart. I live in a country, which already had 2 useless revolutions. One simply did not achieve anything, other weakened the country enough to be invaded by our asshole of a neighbour.
Are you talking France? Because I'm pretty sure the revolution (while shitty as all hell) was kinda required, since if I remember my history right, a huge segment of people were literally starving to death while the nobles got away with everything they wanted. That tends to make people go "fuck it, if I'm going to die slowly like this, I might as well take out the asshole screwing me over and die making things better for everyone like me".
Revolutions usually don't happen for no reason. They either happen because a lot of people are suffering terribly and they have no legal channel to change that so they get violent, or when some power hungry person tries to make a grab for the throne.
If the people in power SAW the revolution brewing and addressed their concerns, a lot of it would deflate. People generally don't want to rock the boat unless they're already in the water and drowning.
~Sincerely, someone who ALSO hates zealots.
Seriously, zealots ruin everything, from the undertale fandom, to religions, to goddam starcraft murdering all my zerglings and- *trails off*
