She was beating herself up inwardly, it was the stupidest thing she could have said to the human. He could have had pure intentions. Which then made her question her own. And what did that answer mean? Desire and intent, which was it? Did he want to and not or plan to and not? Was that good or bad? Perhaps, she thought, she should get back to kneading his skin and- were those footsteps?

The sight of Arlik was terrifying. She thought she would be dragged out of the room by her hair and whipped for being where she does not belong. But the man seemed to pay them no attention at all, aside from a passing glance. Which was somehow more embarrassing than it would have been if he'd shouted at the pair.

Sulahn'nehn cleared her throat softly and slid off the bed, "W-Well. I hope your back is feeling better now. I- Think I'll be off then."

She left the room swiftly in search of Ghil. Maybe learning to punch properly would get her mind off of whatever happened back there. She hadn't expected to see Trajan around. Or Ulrin, really. "Excuse my intrusion."

Ghil was skeptical of the request, though it wouldn't do her any good not to comply. She gave a curt nod to Ulrin, as though to say, 'it's just like I told you'. The woman crossed the room to infringe upon the Commander's personal space.

"What are you needing?"

Ulrin watched her walk away with the Commander. He twisted his lips at her nod, not fully accepting that she was right. He still felt deep down that he should have died. He still wanted to talk to her, but for now it would have to wait.

"You are not intruding. Sulahn'nehn. We are done for now." He glanced at her wondering if she had been with Diocles this whole time. She probably was. "I am sure Ghil will train you when that man is done, if they do not send us off to another battle."

Alrik raised an eyebrow at Diocles, then grabbed a basket off the top of the cupboard and thrust it into Diocles' arms. He began piling potions into the basket, glancing at the labels as he went, though probably not for long enough to actually read them. The basket became quite full before he was finished and gestured that Diocles should follow him out of the room.

Trajan flinched slightly as Ghil got too close to him, but he quickly adjusted, his posture relaxing again.

"The Darkspawn are a problem for everyone, Ghil; for once, we're all in this together. With that in mind, we'd like to enlist the Alamarri tribes to help fight the Darkspawn. No small task, I know. Is there anything you think we could do to encourage them to stop fighting us--and each other-- long enough to start fighting the Darkspawn?"

The archer was dumbfounded. He wouldn't disobey, but he couldn't leave his equipment. He put the basket down for a few seconds, throwing bow and quivers over his shoulder and carrying the rest of his equipment (And clothing) in his arms underneath the basket. Finally he hurried after the giant.

This has been the strangest day.

A shame. She was looking forward to the distraction and with Ghil preoccupied, she was left with the other elf. Which as far as distractions went, it was probably a bad one. A few words exchanged here and there and then a verbal fight. She was counting down for the moment it happened.

"What do you mean? Has something happened or are you simply speculating?"

Ulrin shook his head, "Speculation. The commander asked for Ghil's opinion." He looked at her out the corner of his eye, doing his best not to start a fight with her with others in earshot. "I assume for reasons related to battle, since that is what Ghil does best." He crossed his arms and looked down at the ground trying to think if he should keep talking or just leave. Ghil had said she though the other elf was worried he would be beaten or killed for being so outspoken. Maybe that was true? She did say before he should be thankful to be alive. Both of the women had come to that conclusion now.

"At any rate... I am sure that somewhere there are Darkspawn marching, and a call to arms will come soon." At least he could hope.

Ghil scowled, folding her arms over her chest.

"Make my people fight alongside the Tevinters? Are you making a joke? If you come to them with offerings of words and papers, they will rip you to shreds. Just for being a breathing Tevinter." By the way her brows knitted and her jaw set, she might almost look conflicted; she knew the Darkspawn threat was larger than the enmity between Alamarri and the Imperium... or she herself would not still be here serving. "My people respect strength and honor. They will hate you less if you come to them without your," she gestured dismissively, "magic spells and your fire swords. If you face them on even ground."

He had a valid point, she could see that much. But it was also clear to her they were both uncomfortable with extended conversation with each other. Probably because they both knew it could turn for the worst at any second. She nodded slightly, agreeing for the sake of agreeing. "You may be right. There have barely been breaks from battle to battle and the darkspawn will not wait for us to catch our breath." for a moment, she looked Ulrin over, wondering if she should apologize for what she said last night. But it would be a hollow apology if she had. And so she said nothing on it, merely keeping her distance.

"Hmm. Useful advice, though not easy to take. You recommend we approach them without pretension? And then... would we simply ask the chiefs for their cooperation? Or would some further action be needed? You should certainly go with the party, you will be able to guide us in the right direction."

As it so happened, the path Alrik was taking Diocles on, which seemed needlessly circuitous, led through the training area. Trajan's eyes followed them briefly. "Those two are either headed to a sauna I don't know about, or... maybe I don't want to know. Sometimes I think I should run a tighter ship around here."

Eventually, Alrik had Diocles dump the potions onto a bed in the sick ward. He waved that the other man could go, but not before leaning down conspiratorially. "I will... keep spare room unlocked. So you can use for make sex. On elf."

"No... We are not often allowed a break from fighting, this quite time, is nice." Ulrin nodded to her. Though after he spoke he wasn't sure if he meant the down time they had from fighting the Darkspawn or each other. Now he found himself more hesitant. This was good, wasn't it? But one more word and they would have reached the usual point in their conversations where the fighting began. Perhaps he should walk away? He could. It would mean for once they spoke without growing irritated with one another.

"You and I could fight," He stopped and turned to her uncrossing his arms, "I mean train. You and I could train. ...I am not as strong as Ghil, but I am fast. And, you, seem to hesitate on your feet. The arrows, often strike you; it would be best if you were a bit more nimble."

Ghil didn't seem as amused by the scene; she wasn't fond of Alrik, not after their last two meetings. She turned her attention back to the Commander with a shrug, "You will have to have the hope that they will listen. They may not. But they will not believe you can defend them versus the Darkspawn, unless you are quick with the showing. That is all I can say."

"You are ready to teach?" she strained not to roll her eyes. It wasn't that he was incapable, she'd seen him run about in the field and it was impressive. But he was just not the barbarian and Ghil still seemed tied up in discussion. "Fine. What am I to do?"

She shifted, awaiting instruction and then suddenly pointed her finger at the elf's chest, "And do not be rough. If you are too rough I cannot promise I will not use magic. Alright?"

Ulrin nodded to her, "It will not be my intention. I, doubt I can harm you much since I have not taught much." Or ever. But he thought that perhaps helping Sulahn'nehn with her defenses was a step in the right direction. "...Let's see how good your reactions are. Just avoid me. I'm going to try to strike your arms and legs and try to knock you over. Just, do your best to get out of the way, alright?"

The elven rouge took a fighting stance and started to attack Sulahn'nehn as if he was trying to slash at her arms and kick her legs out from under her. For every couple of attacks she managed to avoid he picked up the pace moving faster, telling her to keep her eyes on his limbs and try to watch for movement before he had built up his strike. His body language would give away which part of his body he was going to move next.

"Err.. Thank you, Alrik. I appreciate your discretion. If you'll excuse me I'll just put this stuff back on, for the benefit of others, as Tevinters have a thing about.. Clothes, you know."

Diocles quickly redressed and equipped himself, and began walking to the training room. It was definitely warm in here. Because he was an adult Tevinter male, a soldier to boot, and he certainly wasn't blushing.

Luckily he had regained his composure by the time he entered the training room. This time he gave the commander a salute as soon as he was noticed.

Sulahn'nehn was getting more and more frustrated by the minute. After a while, she grew tired of trying to doge him without tripping over her feet or losing balance and started forcing him back. So she...improvised. With a wave of her hand she would send his hand back, each time with more power than before.

The first time Ulrin felt Sulahn'nehn's magic smack his hand away he thought to let up on his speed and forcefulness of his attacks. He thought the female elf was warning him he was getting to rough, however as it continued he soon realized it wasn't a warning but a tactic. She wasn't going to dodge, she was just going to block all together. He couldn't help but smirk knowing that she was now trying to force him back. Ulrin changed tactics himself, trying to fake the elven mage out and catch her off guard to land a strike.

Trajan nodded.

"Fine. Get the recruits together and report to Alrik. When everyone's ready you can head out there and start making overtures. Maybe best if I don't go at all, from what you've said... and we'll need to keep Thaedrin out of sight as well, though I think he should still go-- you may need the firepower."

She was not nearly as amused as Ulrin was and only went along with the change up for a few more moves. Around then she started to lose the hold on her magic and she had some difficulty gauging just how much damage she was doing. Sulahn'nehn dropped her hands and rose up from her defensive position. "That's enough."

The elven rouge stopped when she lowered her hands. He stood up right and shook out his knuckles. Repeatedly smacking into Sulahn'nehn's magic had left them a bit sore. "...That was good. You are a fast learner." He nodded, she may have been tired, but he was impressed. Ulrin rubbed his hands convinced that like his arm there would be bruises later. "Those spells of yours, even small ones hurt."
