If memory serves it was an Ogre in the game Castle, a computer game that predates the PC as it is known today. It may have also been the first game I played as well but it was certainly the only one in which you would intentionally kill an enemy.
The other two candidates for first game were Alley Cat where the worst you ever did was stun enemies and Bouncing Babies. I suppose I probably slaughtered my share in infants in the latter game but I don't think it counts since doing so resulted in failure and shame rather than glory and accolades.
My first enemy I destroyed was a Nazi from the first Call of Duty. I can also tell you what gun I killed him with. It was a M1A1 Carbine. Funny thing was that he was on guard duty in front of some houses and about 200 yards down the path were two other nazis playing checkers! What are you people too focused on your game to notice a gunshot? Sure I know the M1A1 Carbine has a pistol round in it but COME ON!
