What was the first game you ever completed that you were actually proud of. Now am not talking about completing games in general I mean I completed sonic 2 and pokemon but I couldn't care less.

I'm talking about the first game you've ever completed that give you a feeling of satisfaction something that made you say "aw yeah I rule".

Mine would be dino crisis its easier when I play it now but when I first got it I was about 9 and damm that game was hard for me, but god when I finshed that game I was so proud of myself I didn't even use the offical guide book either.

I believe Lords of The Realm 2, was the first game I ever beat.

It was like the 1996 version of Total War.

Beating Metroid Fusion

Having spent months stuck on the second to last boss fight (where you have to fight the SA-X), i lost the game, bought another copy of it and managed to beat the whole thing in two days.

also, beating resi 4 in 11 hours was quite an achievement for me.

Megaman 2. I was but a child at the time and by the time I had completed it, I had used at least 30 to 40h of gameplay to finally defeat the game. After that I took a breather, thinking 'Waitaminute, did I just finally beat it?' After that, I felt like the king of the world for the next two days.

I finished Alex Kidd in Miracle World - it was the first console-based game I'd played, the first one I finished, and my proudest gaming accomplishment to this day - for two reasons:
1) because this was before the internet, and strategy guides, and;
2) because whenever I tell someone who remembers the game that I finished it, they don't believe me. :D

Pokemon, including getting every pokemon up to at least level 50

Took me more than a year

Spyro the Dragon. Blimey it was hard to find all of the gems, eggs and dragons but i did it eventually. My favourite game in history. Pity the new ones are absolutely God awful.

Yea, shame that. The first 3 on Ps1 were good. The Spyro's after are just...just...terrible. Like Crash, once he moved off the Ps1 he started getting shitty.

I dunno i didn't think Crash Twinsanity was that bad. But i suppose it was a different style of game to the originals because it was more open world rather than level based. I only liked it because i prefer open world games.

Crash Bandicoot 2 - Completed it when i was 7 or so. The first game that was in to enough to go back and complete more than 90% too by getting all of the additional gems. Must've spent at least a couple months on that. Too bad, like Spyro, the new Crash games suck more than they did back then.
Ah Nostaligia...

A few years ago when I first finished StarCraft without cheating, and I completely suck at RTS games. More recently it was Star Ocean: The Last Hope, for staying awake through the entire last boss fight, 45mins FTL!

Lego Racers.
Now, it's a game aimed at children, and is supposed to be simple to complete. Let me tell you, the last boss is a REAL pain in the ass.
Luckily, it's only one race, and eventually I beat it.
Now the Time Trial section on the other hand...

I was quite proud when I beat Heart of Darkness. I was very young then, and the game was really hard (at least it felt like that back then.)

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. Successfully created all the dinosaurs possible, sucked the dig sites dry, and managed not to turn the entire park into a giant T-Rex pin. That was my crowning achievement of "not being a evil bastard".

Pretty sure it was the first Mega Man game. Maybe cuz you could actually SAVE (well get a password) in that game so it was beatable. Unlike most NES games.

Silver Surfer, or Wizard of Oz. Silver Surfer was so incredibly hard because if you touched anything you died instantly, and every bullet killed you in one hit. And Wizard of Oz was so buggy, that you couldn't jump on platforms while falling on an angle, and, you couldn't hit 90% of the enemies with the standard attack.
