Joe and Mac for the SNES. Me and my friend would always get to the final boss and then we would die. Then i finally beat him by myself a few years later.

Spyro the Dragon. Blimey it was hard to find all of the gems, eggs and dragons but i did it eventually. My favourite game in history. Pity the new ones are absolutely God awful.
On that note, the first game I completed was Ratchet and Clank 2. Loved that game, and that's where the Spyro magic went.

Turrican on the Atari ST.

That game was a work of art in platform-shooty perfection. It was three months of playing to learn the game and beat it, and pure joy when I did.

Yea, shame that. The first 3 on Ps1 were good. The Spyro's after are just...just...terrible. Like Crash, once he moved off the Ps1 he started getting shitty.
Oh god yes. I almost cry when I remind of the good ol' days I played the Spyro games, and I cry because the day and age I'm living in right now isn't so care-free at all...

I was really, really proud finishing 2 and 3 (I don't remember finishing the first, I didn't like that nearly as much as 2 and 3 too, though. Selective memory, maybe?)

The original LoZ. To this day I think it's harder to do than beating the newer Zelda games, mostly because you're pretty much dropped in a world with no clue what to do. Figuring it out for yourself is quite satisfying.

Sonic and Knuckles when I was 7 or so. Took me forever to beat it, especially as Sonic. Never did get all the Emeralds though.

Pokemon Silver.

Hey, when you beat the Elite 4 twenty some odd times, kicked Red's ass countless times, beat both regions and got your starter to level 100, when you're in elementary school, you feel like the shit.

I'll go with Sonic3 &Knuckles because of Super Tails, Super Knuckles & the baddassness that was Hyper Sonic

God of War. Nothing was harder then that spinning spike totem in Hades.
I never managed to beat Ares on god mode... fighting the army of kratos's was hard enough... but because i couldnt really use the big slow sword I could never beat that final b*****d :(

I felt awesome when I beat Super Mario Brothers 3. That, Banjo Kazooie, Conkers Bad Fur Day, and Golden Eye 007. Most of the early games from Nintendo and Nintendo 64 with that game difficulty only hard and nothing else.

As for recent...CoD4 on Veteran. Screw you One Shot, One Kill. Screw you.
