Far Cry 2, because it had so much potential to be good but the devs decided to make Map Reading While Driving: The Game out of it

Also having to pick up malaria pills every 20 minutes. Whoever the hell thought that would ever be a good idea should be fired from Ubisoft immediately. For me you would have to go way back to the ps1 and play a game called tigershark. Look it up and you'll see why I think so.

I had a good run on Sega Genesis and PS1 with good to decent games until I hit PS2 with:

Finally Fantasy X-2

It was a total let down to the point that I never finished it out of absolute boredom. The story was mediocre at best and after a million and a half costume changes via Sailor Moon style you just say "Forget it!"

i actually cant say. i seem to have generally adopted the tactic of "if i think i wont like i shall not buy it". that, and any game i have hated i didnt play enough to remember. oh wait, Call of Duty 3 ..... god i hated that game (although that was probably mostly due to the fact it was in french ... and it's shittyness ofc) but i technically didnt buy that, came with the xbox you see

Jumper: The Video Game. I saw that horrible, butchered, abomination of a movie (The book is SOOOOOO much better) but being a stupid kid and thinking the action wasn't too bad and the idea of "jumping" while fighting a bunch of bad guys was cool. And when I heard about the game...well...*younger, more naive me* "MUST HAVE GAME! MOOOOOOOOOM!" BUUUUUT INSTEAD I GOT SOME OF THE WORST LEVEL DESIGN EVER, HORRIBLE VOICE ACTING, PHENOMENAL GLITCHING, AND A THE WORST USE OF A MECHANIC EVAAAAAAAAAAAR!! DILSGHADKUJHGFJAS....sorry, just had to get that out.

movie + game = fail

Agreed. Playing these new COD games aggravated the fuck out of me more than any game.

They used to have much better ( more tactical/realistic ) games for the older systems like the original Ghost Recon and Rainbow 6 by Red Storm Entertainment.

I was like, what the fuck did they do to these console shooting games nowadays ?

Turned them into arcady trash for 12 year olds ?

What they did from WaW/MW2 onwards was try to dip into the Halo market, full of 12 year olds and (what I believe the Americans call) "jocks" (what i define to be douchebag casual gamers. they arent douchebags for being casual gamers .... they just are docuhebags. just to clarify, non douchebag casuals exist)

Someone mentioned earlier that he didn't hate games during earlier playthroughs, and that, on encountering a bad game, he just forgot about it. I think that certainly applies to me. The only time when I--actively--hated a game throughout was probably Bioshock 2, but that's because I nitpicked it a lot due to my love for the original. It's the same complex that all fanboys get when they've become suddenly distant from their favorite titles and are immediately disgusted by it. But to me it performed poorly in consideration of what it tried to change--the slow, exploratory pace of the original compared to the quick pace required for the sequel--and what it tried to remain steadfast to, which was the story quality. But when you had an beatnik "intellectual" as your bad guy, in contrast to your ungodly god-like man, or to what is essentially a modern interpretation of the mythic trickster, something had to break. The transition between the two games was really off.

Anyway the second game I hated, that I didn't try to hate this time, was Mass Effect 2. But I'm such a snob, I don't like science fiction at all

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

Why end #2 with a cliffhanger to release more of the same story?
The series has so much potential, why even release 2 games with the same "main character"?
