The first game I played with voice acting was Grandia. And the acting holds up like shit, after playing it again a few weeks ago.

Some of it's fine, but for the most part, it's terrible.

[HEADING=2]YOU MUST GO FIND A VOICE CLIP OR HAVE PLAYED THE GAME RECENTLY![/HEADING]

You can't trust your memory with these things. My memory recalled Grandia's VO as good, and then I played it...

Does Duke Nukem 3D count?
If so, then I still laugh at it's terrible terrible-ness on occasion. :p

I guess it would be Castlevania Symphony of the Night.

At least, that's the first game I remember having voice acting that I played.

Voice acting... I think the only one I actually paid attention to was KotOR. I suppose that means something, if I can't remember shit else before it. :p

You know, I don't remember. I know "Blades of Steel" on the NES had a voice that read off the title of the game on the title screen in a digitized 8-bit voice, if that counts. ...defiantly doesn't hold up.

I don't believe the original Star Fox's Banjo-Kazooie style blurbles count, so I'd go with the Game Boy TMNT games. Only a handful of samples, but none of them were buzzy or unclear. Cowabunga!

If it has to be full lines, then the original Jedi Knight. Pretty good with the exception of Yun and Jerec, but colossal hams are not exactly a new thing in Star Wars. I liked the droid 8t88's voice, just as mean as his successor, HK-47.

If you discount the generic grunts in beat'em ups or fighting games, I guess my first game with proper VO was Baldur's Gate 1/2, which is pretty good.

The first Call Of Duty for me. It had alright VA for both Americans and British (with the likes of Giovanni Ribisi) but the Russian guys had horrible, accented mess for a voice.

Mine was the Lucas Arts point and click games, and Sam and Max: Hit the Road. Its just terrible syncing but the voice actors in those games were brilliant and the humor is top notch. reaaaaaally wish they would stop with the star wars and get back to the good old days of point and click.

Starfox 64...I still remember quotes from the game vividly.
"Do a barrel roll!"
Honestly I found the voice acting a little annoying.
