I have a brand new one. You'll notice the sleek design with Cuddles from the hit series Apocalypse Lane. See how he looks at the forum and asks, "What the fuck?" Classic. :p

just changed mine to Naoto from Persona 4 cause she's the sexiest thing in that game. Was gonna use her Silhouette pic from the opening but couldn't find it. I usually go with my Eclipse pic from Demon Diary cause he's a sexy badass.

Welcome to the Escapist.

My first avatar was Vivi because he's awesome. the second one was a Space Wolves space marine because I was excited about the new codex and my current one is because I love Carnage and I suppose it's fitting for halloween.

I changed avatars from my favorite character in Jet Set Radio Future, to one of my favorite bands, Queens of the Stone Age. If you ever saw the music video Go With the Flow, my avatar comes from that.

I picked mine because I use this for everything. And it might symbolize that I do not like people looking at my profile. Or something of that manner.

It's pretty damn smooth too.
Good quality, no hitches in the animation.

I'd work on making that note move up out of screen continuously so it doesn't jerk back and forth, but that's just nitpicking.
YES, DON'T REMIND ME...

I've been staring at that longer than you have and it itches like crazy. I haven't had a good Sunday to sit down and fix it yet.
Hahaha, I'm sure a spare minute would suffice.

Ha ha, actually no. I lost the original series of gifs. I hand craft each frame then run them through a program that turns them into a gif. I know it takes forever, but it gives you a lot better control over it. Thats why the fiddling looks so good. I didn't bother making the note look that great at first.

Wow, that's impressive.

I was wondering why the picture quality was so damn great.
Great artwork by the way, but there's a more efficient method.

Get any image editing software (free ones like GIMP are good too) and you can turn each of the moving parts into a layer that you can drag into place for each successive frame.
Different layers you make are shown as frames in a GIF so when you're done with all of them, it'll convert it right into an animated GIF.
It's highly convenient.

I just changed it, I like Ned Kelly, he symbolises a lot about Australia.

I am open to finding one that suits me personally better, however

Yeah i know, i've tried them, but i like to gif full scale images. And that doesn't work well on a large scale. And it doesn't work when you want the image to be blended, to interact with whats around it, you have to hand carve it.

When hollywood makes amazing looking backgrounds for CGI movies, they hand craft it. It takes a looooong time but in the end it looks a lot better.

Kite, the hero from the .Hack games. I wanted an avatar, and he was the first thing that came to mind. And I can't be bothered to change it.

Mine is classic Vizeral [http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/5482/vizralizera.png], spiced up in a vintage 1935 Austrian Naval Evening Dress, a la Georg Von Trapp [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sound_of_Music_(film)].

I picked mine because
-It's a virtual representation of me.
-My copy of Fireworks was lost so I'm not about to make another avatar in Paint.
-I don't want to look at my picture every time I post.
