Probably Toy Story or Tarzan for gameboy.

F22 Lightning (realistic jet sim)
Gah! I had F-22 Lighting 3! It also had a demo for F-16 Fighting Falcon and a MiG-29 sim.

I also loved Tachyon: The Fringe! It was from Novalogic too, and it was a "space flight sim". It was sort of a FreeSpace 2 clone.
i think the version i played was "F-22 Lightning II"

That would be the first game I ever played, not sure what it was, was probably on the NES though, why would I give up if things are tough? I'd never grow as a person then would I?

Iv'e always been motivated to beat hard games but the last time I remember going hardcore was with modern warfare 2. I was frustrated with cod 4 but I took that experience into MW2 and really began to learn the complexities of the game and how to survive. I learned that it's mostly reflex based but with a stealthy class I could use tactics and map knowledge to gain an advantage. I still remember scoring a nuke while playing with a buddy of mine. That was likely one of the best gaming moments of my life.

I remember playing Lion King, that game was hard as hell!

For me it was playing Mega Man IV, that game was a bastard, and I remember playing that game for hours trying to beat it. I also remember doing a lot of battery changes from all the hours of constant playing I was doing.

First time?

Oh I have no freakin clue...

The first time I really remember going hardcore was for Sonic 3 and knuckles (PC version) in high school. At one point, I just went "Oh it is ON!" and then managed to get all the damn emeralds. Normal and super. ....It was not easy. At all.

I might have gone more hardcore into other games before that, but I'm not quite sure...I certainly don't remember doing so....Maybe Pokemon Blue waaaaay back in grade school? Yeah, I was probably hardcore into that.....

....Ooohhh...I remember this time that I made it to the final battle against the rival, only to have ONE ice beam left on my blastoise (and all his other moves were low on PP), no revives, and no potions, with a bunch of weakened mons (I think A hitmonlee, a zapdos, and one other living one that was out of PP). And I had saved too, so I could not escape. I redid that rival battle at least 15 times, trying desperately to win, praying that my blastoise could kill the enemy with struggle, and I think one time I made it down to his damn venusaur. Finally, I threw up my hands and took the loss. Fortunately, I now had a bunch of money from facing previous elite four members, and even with half of that lost to the final boss, It was enough to buy me the supplies needed to win the second time through. Yeah, that was insane. ^_^ good childhood memories.

I've been playing video games for 35 years. I have no idea what the first time was. Double Dragon maybe? Contra? Ninja Gaiden (NES)? Mega Man 2? Hard to say really.

Baldur's Gate 1, but I had a scratch on the one of the 6 CD ROMs it came on so never made it all the way through...

I suppose Max Payne was the first game I can legitimately claim to have ground through in true hardcore fashion. The nightmare levels required judicious use of the mute button though. It's hard enough doing that jumping and following blood trails bit without the looped sound of a crying child.
