I'd have to say, Faria, on NES, from a long time ago. I mean, don't get me wrong, it had some neat graphics like full anime like pictures for the characters you interacted with and it run silky smooth but what pissed me off was spending an eternity, grinding and saving up for the best gear in town, then spending another sentence in eternity figuring out the first dungeon, finally reaching the boss and killing him with two blows. two. WTF. The pacing was all flawed and I felt really let down by that part, so much so that I just turned it off and never played it again.. but I never forgot.

I'm stuck between Call of Duty Modern Warfare
and Call of Duty Black Ops

they both have single player campaigns that only last about 6 hours (if you play on hardcore)

they both have painfully linear paths through the missions, with snipers taking the place of invisible walls

playing on easy or normal feels like a fucking insult while you can't take a breath on veteran without getting shot 50 times

they both had an atrocious story and even worse voice acting (but Black Ops is the worst game in that respect by far)

and the muliplayer...oh god the multiplayer
(you should know I think the concept of competitive is fundamentally flawed but certain games like Halo Reach can make it work well)
but there are 3 things in particular about Call of Duty's multiplayer that make me hate these games more than anything else I've played

first they can't match games fairly
more than once I've been the only level 1 in a game and everybody else was above level 50
what the fuck kind of game doesn't have a beginner level server?

secondly higher level players get better guns and perks
what the fuck?
once you have proved that you're better than everyone else we'll give you some good guns and perks.
so the good get better while the bad get repeatedly slaughtered and demoralized?
(even if I was good enough to be a level 70 with the bullet-proof-infinite-ammo-double-damage-instant-kill perk I'd still think it was a bull shit system, a fair challenge is better than domination)

third the fucking guns and perks
in Halo there are 20 guns and you can tell what they are and what they'll do on sight
CoD has like 500 guns with such minute differences between them that you need to have memorized the "Big Book-O-Guns" from cover to cover just to know whether or not you're about to pick up an automatic weapon

in Halo there are 7 perks and none of them are any better than the others. Which are "the best" comes down to player preference.
in CoD there are a shit ton of perks and about 5 or so that can totally make you invulnerable if you're good enough to have unlocked them.

anyway, I can't decide whether Modern Warfare is worse than Black Ops or not
you forgot the instant-kill-o-knife

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.

...Probably the most poorly designed turn-based RPG I've ever played. I regret buying it.

Beat it in two days and then sold it back.
And it was made by Bioware, goes to show that what ever developer handles any Sonic game it still fails.

Tough call... I couldn't stand more than 1/2 an hour of Civilization 4 or Sims 3. I got bored of Halo 1 and 2 really quick (especially 1 because of all the fucking driving around). And I'm still pissed at Yu-Gi-Oh: Falsebound Kingdom because I was hoping for a card-game-based gameplay style. Instead, some weird RTS thing and that I don't like.

Any of those gets my scorn for worst game ever played

Was it really that bad? I was considering buying it... What didn't you like about it?

OT: A 101 Dalmation game my parents got me for the DreamCast. It was my second game ever and it was glitched to the point that made it impossible for me to complete the game 100%. It tought me the valuable lessons of never play anything based off a TV/Movie/Book.

I regret the Raving Rabids game that came with the Wii I bought and about a third of the games I own for the system.

Mickey Mousecapade. It's a shitty little NES game I played when I was little and never got very far in. I recently picked it back up as sort of a personal nostalgia trip and found that it's still damn ridiculous. I seriously believe they made the third level actually physically impossible to get through so they wouldn't have to make the rest of the game. I have tried every permutation possible.

Also, for whatever reason, Mickey can only shoot at the same time he jumps. Figure that one out.

(Scribblenauts is coming close, though. Having such a good concept actually makes the impossible physics more angering than it would if the game was just shitty all around...)

Splatterhouse(the recent remake)
cheap deaths(especially in the 2d side-scrolling section)

long death scenes accompanied by annoying monsters laughing to your death(I know they are just growling but I swear to god they are mocking me)

too much blood that covers the screen like they are hiding something( I know it's called splatterhouse but it's frustrating to not see what your doing, hell even Prototype is bloodier than this and I still can see what i'm doing even though both games are mess)

QTEs or as Yatzhee likes to call them "press X not to die"(yes God of War made it cool, but please developers stop using it)

and of course the 15 year old juvenile sex fantasy in the form of collecting nude photos of your girlfriend which why the fuck did they even put that sidequest in the game.

And I still managed to finish this abomination.

Sonic the Hedgehog for the 360.

I was expecting this game to be something like the Sonic Adventure games. I guess nostalgia kind of influenced me. The game itself was a mess however. I kept dying in the first level over and over due to the speed section. Sonic controls like crap and the loop at the end of the level is glitched so 75% of the time, I fall off it instead of getting to the goal ring. That pissed me off on so many levels. And that's just one example of this game's crappiness.
