HEHE, cause the fact that we are all accidents of a cosmic joke makes so much more sense... hahaha, or is there a third option?
At a very rough estimate there are 10^22 to 10^24 stars in the universe, and a hell of a lot of planets. So lets just say God has given the universe plenty of opportunity to create Earth.

Nice, still an accident! :p Which just makes so much sense how everything just accidentally works so perfectly. :p Even if there was a god as you claim there must be some kinda design to have the universe create, no?

The Alpha and the Omega are represented best by Ye Olde Church of Robocop on a Unicorn. Where the Unicorn so loved the world that he blessed us all with the protection of Robocop and his mythical leg gun of justice and his hand spike of knowledge.

It actually makes the most sense, although ideas like 'accidents' and 'cosmic joke' are simply negative connotations on an absurd world.

Seriously, there was no 'accident' with life. Think of it this way, we've got this huge universe with the potential for creating life, and I'm talking huge. So many chances for life to happen, it's bound to happen somewhere. Things are bound to come together correctly somewhere, at some point in the universes history (and that's a huge amount of time).

It's what we call an eventuality.

A "made up religion" you say? Just like every other religion out there?

The Flying Spaghetti Monster makes as much sense as God to me.
Yeah, then you've got the idea. It's sort of a joke you see.

Pastafarians are just having a little more fun with their invisible all-powerful authority.

What's the big deal? Besides, aren't all religions a joke anyhow?

Finally, someone who isn't a heathen. It's good to know the One Truth is still alive, and the Invisible Pink Unicorn( pbuhh) is still rightfully acknowledged as the Creator She is!

Life is statistically probable.

A rough scientific estimate says there are between 1 billion and 30 billion planets in our galaxy. There are about 100 billion galxies in the universe.

For easy maths well use the lower number of planets.

So if you give the chance of life on any given planet as 1 in 1 billion -ludicrously long odds- there is life on 1 billion planets, earth being one of course.

Less chance or accident, more inevitable. As far as working "perfect" , its good but far from perfect.

Man is a poor design for a bipedal animal, hence all of the back pain, knee problems and piles we wouldnt get if we were quadrapeds. More an evolutionary trial and error bodge job than designed to work perfectly.

Read about this
It's either based of the design of a flumph, or its what the flumph was modeled off of

(for those of you who don't know, the flumph was a frequently laughed at, now deprecated addition to the original D&D fiend folio - it was the only lawful good monster which is why its made fun of even now in sources such as Order of the Stick)

What are you talking about?
Just mocking the stupidity of a random generation universe. If you bring in science and probabilities, you break all logical barriers trying to justify are randomly generating universe that is decaying and collapsing. It makes more sense to say it was designed and yet that scares people cause they think that means that they have to believe in a god. And thats scary cause 99% of the gods in this world are slavers. So where does that leave us?

I can't accept that we are all accidents because if thats true then it really doesn't matter how you live so why the hell do we entrap ourselves to laws and rules? Why not just live and die, screw the consequences, which only matter while your alive and that really doesn't mater cause everything you work for and acquire or live for is just temp. dust in the wind. Thats the way I see the idea of a self randomly generating universe, and the fact there is nothing to back it as fact. Prove me wrong, I am willing to admit I am wrong if it can be proven.

Sorry but one is only allowed to teach the meaning of Him whilst wearing the appropriate cloth - that being a full pirate regalia and I not attired appropriately it would be wrong of me to impart.

Excellent argument. Only 2 problems:
1) Your math is faulty
2) Your math is faulty, it was such a big problem I though I should mention it twice...

Here is Why:
What is the probability what what you suggest to the smallest element? Starting with what ever makes up an atom, connecting the atoms, building it up all the way to life and having a body that works on oxygen and does all the intricate things the body does. See you are saying that the odds are good with then number of planets but you are forgetting the details.

So it's not that it doesn't make sense to you, it's that you don't WANT to believe in it.

You know, I can respect that. I'm an existentialist at heart, and believe me it's been a tough road. If there's no inherent meaning to life, and no permanence (even to the idea of the 'self') than what's the point? It's something I've had to struggle with for a long time. I recommend you read The Myth of Sisyphus. Good read, really delves into this.

But just because there isn't an inherent meaning doesn't mean that you can't bring your own subjective meaning to your life. Why would we obey laws and rules? Because most laws and rules in the end simply try and keep everybody as safe and happy as we can be.

In an objectively meaningless world, we should do our best to get as much enjoyment and fulfillment out of life as we can, and do our best to make sure others can be free to achieve those same ends. When nothing you do matters, all that matters is what you do. Or something like that.
