Quantum entanglement is the unexplained phenomenon in the universe where two particles are inextricably linked together and any action on one particle causes the other particle to react instantly (faster than light speed) no matter what distance the particles are separated.
Also, for those too young to remember there was originally 150 pokemon ^.^
Actually, Mew, number 151, was in the game by default, there was just no way of getting it without cheats, or going to a special event.\

Also: Batman originally carried guns.

Oh my goodness, I am such a useless trivia junkie.

-A barnacle's penis is long enough to reach his mate 8 body lengths away without moving, often weaving it among others nearby.
-When you cook tarantulas on a skewer, they whistle. They also apparently taste like crab.
-123456 is the most common password in the world
-A British immigration officer once put his wife on the terror watch list, keeping her from returning home for three years.
-You can die of a broken heart. Broken heart syndrome is a temporary (but potentially fatal) heart condition brought on by stressful situations, such as the loss of a loved one.

Children who are born deaf (or who learn sign language) Stutter in the same way as that children with "normal" hearing do, except they stutter with their hands
I believe it. I stutter verbally sometimes (and no, that's not why my name is "Stammer"), but sometimes when I'm thinking whole sentences to myself I'll even stutter my thoughts.

A baby's eyes appear so large because when a human is born, the eyes are already their full adult size.

Also, in pre-civil war America, it was against the law to feed slaves lobster more than twice a week because it was considered lousy food.

Nero did not fiddle wile Rome burned. He was actually right in the action trying to save his beloved City. It was the fact that he built a luxurious public (and private) Bath/Palace complex on the still smoking remains that branded him as a horrible Emperor.

Also the Vandals, a barbarian tribe where we got the word Vandalism because of their destructive tendencies(Hey, a two for one), came from Northern Poland, through Germany and France, Settled in Hispania (Spain) Conquered Roman Carthage, sat there for a year or two, and went on to attack Rome and conquer that too.

Last one: John Cleese, famous Python, was the first man to say s**t on British Television

I work at an engineering firm and heard my bosses having a conversation, the point of which was this.

The average human can produce 4~5psi by breathing out (like blowing up a balloon, it can explode easy cos it cant take that 4~5psi that you can produce).

And.

That if you were to completely seal up a house, make it air-tight, and then start pumping air into it it would take only 0.7psi, before it blows (and I assume that means that some weak point like a window will crack or something of that sort).

What this means is that if that wolf was to change his tactics a bit, that third house with those three pigs would not have stood a chance.

Your mind = Blown!

Ok, the quantum entanglement bit, blew my mind.
The pokemon bit, sadly I'm still old enough to remember that there were 150 pokemon originally.

OT: If you are in pain, swearing actually lessens the pain. Mythbusters did a show on it and it seems to be true.

Highly concentrated oxygen (what you use for a blowtorch) and simple fat used for cooking or shining your shoes is EXTREMELY flammable, and will in most cases turn into an explosion upon contact.
Actually, oxygen is itself not flammable, it just promotes spontaneous combustion really good.
But if you soaked wood in liquid oxygen you could make it detonate on mechanical impact. Get some liquid O2, a wooden stair and you've got the perfect assasination!
Nothing, as far as I know, is in itself flammable. It needs to interact with another agent. Point is that liquid oxygen is a lot rarer than say a can of oxygen for breathing-aid.

...polar bears do not have white fur [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polar_bear]? Their fur is actually transparent and their skin black - this allows them to heat up more efficiently in sunlight.

Physics trivia

...the model for quantum tunneling is an exponential function [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_tunnelling], which still yields a finite possibility for you to tunnel through the entirety of the earth?

...the centrifugal force is actually fictious [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fictitious_force] and only brought into play due to an observer being in an accelerated reference frame (e.g. in a rotating reference frame)?

Well, according to some website I just found, more than 10 people are killed by vending machines a year.

Someone please explain how that works. Seriously. Were they like crushed by one, or something...?
Yes they are crushed by them, because they are top heavy, I'm sure you have seen a person slamming their fist against a vending machine out of anger of not getting their candy bar or soda but some people go as far as to hump it in anger and end up going splat.

Here's the best way to describe it.

In Japan they're trying to get people to cut down on smoking due to health reasons. Not because of cancer, but because the population density is so great people are constantly burning each other by accident.
