When you blow into a bassoon reed (just the reed) you can make it sound like a dying goose. And for beginners, that is considered a good sound.

Also, the actress of Leia didn't wear a bra on set.
There were also fun times had by all when she was in her "Slave Leia" outfit. The metal didn't exactly stick to her skin.

It's also illegal in MN to sleep naked or have oral sex (We're such a fun state huh?)

-The olympic games used to give out medals for things like architectural design, painting and poetry.
-Women have about twice as many pain receptors as men.

The Ouija board was originally intended as a toy and was patented in 1890. Now Parker Brothers has all copyrights and patents for it.

It sure is magical...
And if that wasn't enough to put you off, the mystical sounding name is actually just a composite of the French and German words for "Yes" - "Oui" and "Ja".

People just keep on reminding me of facts that are stored away in my head.

There was an incident at one of the early Olympic games (in ancient Greece) where a competitor beat another competitor to death in one of the matches. He was executed, however, it wasn't because he beat the man to death, but because he threw sand in his opponent's eyes, thus dishonoring the gods.

I got nothing. I'm sorry everyone. I'm rather tired. I know tons of useless crap, why can't I think of anything? Well, except stuff that's going to pop up in this thread ten times.

I remember hearing another similar story. I don't know how true it is, but here it is anyway.
In the Olympic games, also in ancient Greece, two competitors were having a really long wrestling match (you would only lose if you gave up). Eventually one of them decided to give up, only to realise his opponent had been dead for a while. So he lost to a dead man.

One of the reasons the Tower of Pisa stills stands is because of it's long build time; each time the building of the tower was halted due to war or lack of funds, the soft base was allowed to harden.

Bananas emit anti-matter. Bananas contain an isotope of Potassium that undergoes a form of beta-decay, from which a positron is generated (and pretty much instantly annihilated).

Caligula was given his nickname because he was dressed in a miniature soldiers uniform when out with the legion, and they named him after the boots he wore.
