The name for the character of Pac-Man comes from a Japanese onomatopoeia for the movement that the mouth makes while eating ("paku-paku", somewhat analogous to "chomp"). He was slated to be named "Puck-Man" in the American version, but test cabinets were routinely vandalized, scratching out part of the "P" to form an "F".

Wolves cannot bark as loudly as dogs.

If you are one-in-a-million, then there are 1,331 people exactly like you in China.

The reason dogs spin around when they sit down is because when dogs lived in the wild they did it to check for snakes and other prey.
That is AWESOME. Always wondered that!

The popular shows "Family Guy" and "American Dad" almost never came into existence, Seth McFarlen only survived to this day because he missed his plane and had to wait until the next flight. The plane he was supposed to be on crashed and nobody survived.

Germany and Japan have cultures that are (some of) the most "Americanized" of the world, thanks to World War II takeovers.

In Star Wars, Queen Padmé Amidala's decoy was played by Keira Knightley (it's surprising that few people know this). When the real Amidala appeared dressed as her decoy, Keira Knightley's voice was dubbed over Natalie Portman's voice.

There is a wasp called the Tarantula Hawk that actually hunts tarantulas for food.

It's sting is also one of the most painful among insects, lasting for 3 minutes of intense pain

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarantula_hawk

EDIT: Wikipedia describes the pain as "Blinding, fierce, shockingly electric. A running hair drier has been dropped into your bubble bath."

Octopi have no spine, and therefore can fit through a hole the size of a post box slit.
Here's another fun fact. The plural of octopus is octopuses, not octopi, even though the latter is used. Here [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octopus#Etymology_and_pluralization], have a look. It's quite interesting (at least I think so).

In Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, a group of five or more Native Americans is considered a raiding party and may be killed on the spot.
We have a similar law in Kandiyohi County in Minnesota. If there are 4 (Or somewhere near this number) of Native Americans hidden in a wagon they may be killed as invaders or something like that.

I'm gonna call bullshit on this one.
I know the surface of the sun is only several hundreds of thousands of degrees Celsius, but that doesn't mean that the core (even the outer core) part of the Earth, is that hot.

I will add though, that lightning bolts are several times hotter than the surface of the sun.
I don't have the exact number right now, because my internet is being gay as shit, but I know its somewhere in the ballpark of 3-5 times the surface temperature of the sun.

Most humans believe that some kind of higher power exists, i.e. that god exists.
About half of these people, are not religious at all, they simply believe god exists because: they fear the possibility that god could exist and they want in heaven, they are not entirely convinced by atheism, believe there is some kind of religion out there for them.

There are also more humans in the world that donate with no thought of receiving, than people who give with a hope of receiving. This can apply to clothes, food, or blood. The fact remains, that more humans give without a thought of reward, than people who give because they think they get something in return.

Not quite sure how true this one is but here goes anyway,
If you hit the precise centre of a Rolls Royce (on the bottom)with something like a rubber mallet, all the doors will unlock and the alarm will be deactivated.
If true I think I may have created a bunch of car thieves
...assuming anybody actually reads comments this far back
