Jeebus, you just don't give one solitary fuck about moderator wrath, do you?

Our cells are composed of other cells! Humans have organelles in their cells called 'Mitochondria', which were once independent prokaryotic cells that evolved to form a symbiotic relationship with our current day eukaryotic cells!
Mitochondria, eh? They evolved into a Parasite huh?

Coincidentally, I learned what you said from Parasite Eve. I came for the hot blonde main character, and stayed for the mildly skewed biology.
Strictly speaking, they're not parasitic. Within biology a parasite is an organism that feeds off and harms its host. Mitochondria actually produce adenosine triphosphate, which we animals use to power every chemical reaction within our body!

Shit, I always associate symbiosis with Parastism. But hey, at least I get a straight version of what Parasite Eve was saying now.

The game begins with Aya Brea, an NYPD rookie, attending an opera with an unnamed date. During the opera, everyone in the building spontaneously combusts, except for Aya, her date, and an actress on stage named Melissa Pearce. Aya confronts Melissa backstage, and Melissa says that Aya?s mitochondria need more time to develop. Melissa then mutates into a beast and flees into the sewers, declaring that her name is now Eve.
Japan is a terrifying place.

GLaDOS: Do you know that thought experiment with the cat in the box with the poison? Theory requires the cat be both alive and dead until observed... Well, I actually performed the experiment. Dozens of times. The bad news is that reality doesn't exist. The good news is we have a new cat graveyard.
Was that in portal 1, I don't think I notice.

Yes. Yes it is.

I mean, look at their opinion of high school biology:

That damn thing can even light you on FIRE!

Its from the web comic they just released as party of the portal 2 hype. I can imagine her voice perfectly though.
