The Future of Halo

I do like halo and we will be seeing halo's until microsoft is clutching at straws to get more out of the franchise

Personaly, I would like to see another game starring the Master Chief, but I don't want it to have the word Halo in the title. A good title however may be hard to come by, my suggestion: 117-To Find the Way Home

Halo seems like more of a Mario than a Sonic.

Of course it's not really either, Mario and Sonic games are identified by the character (any game with Mario in it could be called a Mario game or Mario spin-off) while Halo is defined by the universe. If a game doesn't follow the Halo universe it's at most a Halo tie-in (like the Spartan in DoA4).

Yeah, I see what you're saying. The difference between Mario and Sonic is not that one is better than the other. It's just that most gamers never whine about the slew of mediocre and unneeded Mario games that have been released while pretty much everyone lost hope in Sonic after SA2.

And Halo is going along those same lines as Mario. I doubt we'll see any more worthwhile Halo games, but that doesn't mean people will stop buying Halo any time soon.

I dont mind if they make more games, if they make crap like Halo 3, then fair enough, surely with enough time they can bring back the magic of the first game. I can't change their business plan by bitching on the internet about it.

I mean look at Resident Evil, it was outstanding on its debut, but it became stale and they created shit spin offs, and then after all that they made RE4!, I dont see people whinging about RE4.

So if in a few years they create another awesome game people will forget the poo bum experience of the spin offs, and who wins in the end?

WE DO, the hardcore gamer, because their is a chance of us putting another gem into our collection.

Hey, Halo 3 aint crap. Cliver Barker's Jericho and You Are Empty are CRAP.

It is to me, i've not played those games, so I wouldn't be able to reference them sorry!.

I love Halo 1 though, wierd or what?.

edit, I played Timeshift after Halo 3 and found it to be an extremely enjoyable and satisfying game, either we have different opinions or i'm fucking crackers.
