I'm extremely pro-nature and no matter what benefits there could be I'd rather just use the body I have. Besides, we already have to give up many of our freedoms in our society, why would I want to relinquish my right to age, become a respectable leech, then die?

"You might eve get a copper rectum."

I'd love to be a cyborg. I could do shit so much faster if I was able to just open a panel on my arm and start working.

The worst parts of human nature are those that allowed us to live and survive.ridding the mind of thought that isn't truly pshcotic is inherently wrong.Suppressing thought is wrong.
Do we not suppress thought all the time? Can a thought be wrong, a mindset deemed archaic? You can feel free to say whatever you like, but that invisible force of social norms (keeping job, friends, etc.) is always there. I'd wager most people suppress more than they let out, and I'd argue that suppression of thought is what separates us from our animal cousins. Our cognitive ability to serve as a sieve to those thoughts builds stability and aids in progress.

Suppression is not wrong, it is having a critical mind that thinks about those thoughts that is required. Now, should people be freed from that burden or responsibility? I agree with you there, I don't want the Soma either, I prefer to learn from experiences rather than be dictated to.

Good talk pastaman.
