The Game Awards 2014 impressions

I don't much care for award shows after the VGX pretty much shamed the hobby like it does most years, and this one certainly didn't help their image all that much.
But i'll at least give them credit on their enthusiasm for video games at an award show about VIDEO GAMES, seems hard to the people running theses things to care about them for some odd reason. Kiefer Sutherland was such a cutey up there.

Otherwise I was there for the trailers and cringing harder than California's tectonic plates when Shadow of Mordor beat Bayonetta 2 as "Best Action Game of the Year".

Tip for future judges: Play the games first pls.

I didn't even watch the show, but I thoroughly enjoyed the reactions to TB winning.

One tweet because twitter is the place where conversations happen. If twitter is your only source after 30 seconds of google you are beyond help and I'm done with you because you seem to have a profound unwillingness to accept that people can see past the character and that everyone is rigidly stuck to their opinions.

Actually it was about 10 seconds of google.
I have no doubt that some people can see past character to the person behind them, I do not believe that TotalBiscuit is one of those people and if you had put your bias aside and made even a cursory glance at his conduct you would think that too.
After all, podcasts are not in-character entertainment, they are just straight up conversations. Why would Mr. Biscuit refuse to have PewDiePie on his podcast if his problem was with the character explicitly and not the person?

This is the video that prompted me to have a closer look and eventually persuaded me to unsubscribe as I was on the fence about his dry and boring content filling up my subscription list anyway.

are you kidding me? he just said jeff gerstmann deserved the award more than him and you argue he was leading some sort of campaign to get him elected? ridiculous

if you are going to argue he doesnt like pewdiepie, yes a lot of people are guilty of that as well
