A huge and the ultimate mmorpg with limitless customization. There are two themes to this game, fantasy (knight) and futuristic (mech) but the two themes are connected due to time travel (part of the story). Also this games got tons of minigames like fishing and racing so you can take a break from the main game itself.

A HD Crash Bandicoot game made by Naughty Dog. I am a man of simple pleasures.
Does it really have to be HD?
Why would you make a game in 2012 that's not HD?
What if it was made for the wii? Would you not play i just because it wasn't HD?
Well you know what I meant, updated graphics for 2012, preferrably in HD. I wouldn't play it on the Wii as I don't own one. I don't know why you're so fixated on the fact I said HD. Is that really an issue?
Oh you meant a remake of the original 3 games with updated graphics . I really thought you wanted a NEW crash bandicoot game by naughtey dogg, but it HAD to be in High definition or else you wouldn't be interested , thats what it sounded like to me . It's not really an issue , it's just that the original crash games were so awsome , i find it hard to believe that someone who was apparantly an fan of the original games, would be bothered that a NEW game with the OLD formula didn't have HD graphics .

Crash bandicoot was such an awsome game ( well the first 3 games anyways) even if , and this is only my opinion) it was remade with ps1 graphics it would still be awsome .

Sorry about the confusion.

I just want Dynasty Warriors 40K. Just get to run around a big ass battlefield, slaughtering hundreds of worthless troops and doing shit. That would be the best 40K game ever (excluding Dawn of War 1 & Winter Assault)

Also. A Archer game. Thats all I want. A Archer game.
I would even rebuy Alpha Protocol if you just had a Archer dialogue option for everything. Don't even need the real Alpha voice actor to try to fit, just get the dude from Archer. I won't know the difference. I won't pick any other option.

I had this idea of being able to shift from a 3D being to a 2D shadow of yourself and have to manipulate the light to solve puzzles. It's more complex then it sounds.

Sorry, what I want is a new Crash Bandicoot game made by Naughty Dog that has graphics for 2012, preferrably in HD. I must not have made myself clear, so sorry about that. Although yeah I would love a HD remake of the original three as well (Crash Warped is my favourite all time game). I'm not as fussed by that as the PS1 games still hold up pretty well today, but it would be nice.

A survival RPG game. Not like Fallout 3 or STALKER/s, or even Metro2033. But in a game where crossing the road requires looking both ways. Where NPC's opinion of you actually constitutes where you may die.
Set in Africa, a lot like Far Cry 2, game is 1st person, minus the hilarious South African accents, 'China'.
Character is fully customizable, even the voice can be varied, just as your characters appearances.
Where 'good' decisions aren't called good and vice a versa. So the good and bad guys are gray nothing is black and white.

- Whacky Weapons like those from Dead Space 2
- Vanquish's rocket sliding (+ Dead Space 2 zero G combat), with Gears of War 3 fluid cover system.
- Vehicles a la Halo or UT2k4
- Space Battles

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

I would like something like this:

a game that is sort of Like the legend of Zelda in that it has its own world that defies the standard fantasy/scifi setting and it has unique hard to classify gameplay like shadow of the Colossus or god hand sort of.

As for setting I was thinking sailing like wind waker only instead of an ocean it would be a huge vast desert and instead of a ship it would be a sweet ass motor cycle. There would be fucking awesome miniature landmarks and stuff in the huge stretches from destination to destination like naturally occuring rock ramps and ravines that is like the trench scene from starwars, maybe ruins that are sort of like an obstaclew course. For visuals it would probably be something more stylised like semi anime esque proportions a la No More Heroes and a colouring style using lots of grainy gradients, very autumn colour scheme with mostly beiges and a few mottled reds, yellows and browns. A touch of black maybe.

Oh and the whole thing would be in the style of diesel-punk, almost exaggeratedly so too. The motor cycle would have super huge exposed engines with massive exhaust pipes and the engine rev would sound like a shotgun ripping the universe in half.

As for Gameplay driving your chopper would probably be straight forward, maybe add some techniques like drifting, wheelies, donuts and boosts for variety. Also there would be shooting and driving at the same time to combat enemies like bandits.

The other half of gameplay off the hog would be platforming and climbing. Of course there would be all kinds off crazy tools to help you since you would have realistic stamina and jumping/grip capabilities. like grapling hooks and tightropes to move between gorges. Possibly some sort of break fall and of course using a pick and harness to regain stamina by hanging off the wall or a while. The game would circle almost purely around things like exploring and treasure hunting as well as delivery/escorts and safe rescues. Not too exciting but there are always bandits and stuff to look out for to keep things fresh.

A story? all I can think of is cliche wanderer who single handedly saves desert towns from thugs with his incredible badassness and suave-itude. That could probably use some work by creating an overarching story with some sort of syndicate/mafia and a liberation/resistance. The boring qualities of it could probably be circumvented with extremely well written characters and a laser focus on them in the midst of the over all plot but still...

Yeah not very inspired, pretty lame and a work in progress.

A game that has great action like Amalur or Batman and amazing cities like GTA IV and you can talk to characters like in an adventure game, but some crazy advancement in technology allows for digital voice created by the computer and that sounds realistic, so you could have dialogues for every character and lots of dialogue options and the dialogue would adapt intelligently to your decisions and the way you play.

The game would have different beginnings like Dragon Age Originals and many, many (well done) endings. It would be sand-box, but you can also play linearly if you choose so. It would be like living in that world, so you have to eat, get married, have children, experience seasons and getting older. After your main character dies you could choose to continue playing with your off-spring. Most importantly all the changes you made to the game world would last, so you could experience things that are the result of something your grandaddy in-game did. Like the grandson of his enemy seeking for revenge or something.

You would play in a city, but you're able to travel. And I don't mean just to other cities. It would be like Mass-Effect where you can travel to other planets, but here it wouldn't be a cutscene, but you'd actually travel in your spaceship. You pilot it and if you buy a bigger one you would be a captain giving instructions to your crew. It would be like Elite a bit.

You could fight in this game using its amazing combat engine, but also you could find a diplomatic non-violent solution for everything in this game.

That's actually a pretty damn good idea. Mesh that game mechanic with the right art style and even a loose story and you'd have yourself a nice indie game. Wouldn't even be that expensive to make, relatively speaking.

RTS vs FPS
A multiplayer game where one team consists of 1 player who plays like a standard rts. He builds a base, collects resources, and builds an army of npcs.
On the 2nd team a bunch of players run around and harass the RTS player until they can destroy his base.

I think that would be interesting to play on either side.

Story of Persona 4, storytelling of Valve games, freerunning of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, stealth of Thief II, dismemberment of Dead Space. Maybe I'm asking too much...

this but diffrent
each team picks a general the general builds armys and weapons and tanks and stuff and provides support for the fps players -each player could control a squad like rainbow six -

A baby borne of Bioware and Bethseda. I would never let this kind of game out of the console tray.

A game with the exploration and sheer massiveness that Bethseda is good at with the character and story driven world that Bioware is good at. Add seven years of preparation and out of the over comes a glowing masterpiece.

So....Mass Effect+Elder Scrolls= happy Clover

I'd like a Bethesda RPG in a more optimistic science fiction setting, like a cross between Deus Ex and Fallout 3.

I'd post it, but 4chan already did it for me:

In all seriousness, I often get paranoid about posting my ideas in these threads for fear that 2 years down the road a game will pop up that is my idea and then noone will believe me when I say I thought of it first.

So in that case, gimme a game in which I play as a detective (named Jim) who, after a series of murders that have a running theme of Dean Martin songs (one victim had their head kicked in, another found aboard a ship in the port bound for China), does the sensible thing and summons Dean Martin's ghost in a seance, and together they have wacky and wonderful crime-fighting adventures in solving the case of the Deano murders.

Think of the dialogue you could have:

Dean: "Damn I'm bored Jim, you couldn't have revived the whole rat pack?"
Jim: "I went to Vegas last month, NEVER AGAIN"

Jim: "In the space of one week we've had five corpses turn up and six missing persons that have all been presumed to be linked to this killer, if this is just the beginning then-"
Dean: "MY LIFE IS GONNA BE BEAUTIFUL"
Jim: "Dean...this is a murder case..."
