Some of us have been with games since the beginning, some of us have just began playing, regardless we all started with a certain game.

I'm 15, and have been playing games since I was 4. My first game (I can't remember the title), was a game made in the early 90's. I played it on my dad's old Apple II. It took place in a castle, where you play a character that has to solve a series of questions, to get around the castle. The questions ranged from sports to politics. I was very young, and I barely knew any of the answers, so I just spent my time clicking on random choices (A, B, C, D). Even so, I enjoyed it. If only I could remember the title, I want to start playing again..

Anyway, what was your first game?
I've played that game before. It was too at an early age. I remember playing it at school, and I just guessed.

But my first game was the original doom's demo. It was hilarious I didn't really know what I was doing because I was only 6 or something like that.

Commander Keen and Dangerous Dave and the Haunted Mansion. Oh, Math Rescue, Word Rescue, Zone 66, Raptor: Call of the Shadows. I started playing all of those around the age of 5, can't remember which one I played first.

My First game ever was Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter. However did not play it that much the game which really turned me in to a gamer was Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine that game took me a year to complete (mainly because my parents said that I could not play longer that 1 hour a day) and had a wonderful story. Thinking of this game right now it makes me feel nostalgic.

One of my earliest memories is gaming on some Sega system. I can't even remember the game only little flashes of it, the next I can actually remember was StarFox on the Nintendo 64.

im 23 but i was lucky enough to start my gaming on my uncles old Atari. i forget which model it was but i know it was 50% wooden. I played such classics as frogger, pong, space invaders and this AWESOME game where you flew planes or drove tanks.

i believe natural progression then went Amiga 1200 - Syndicate, Skidmarks (haha still makes me laugh that name) and something i think was called Zool or similar. Then gameboy breezeblock (1st one) - tetris/mario 6 gold coins. Various other gameboyincarnations - pokemon etc, then PC - Fallout 1 and 2, rayman spring to mind, PS 1 - FF7+8 (fellow fanboy) and GT...... it just goes on from there

sorry from the rant, i do nostalgia in a big way after a few beers

I started by playing games like Super Mario Bros. cuz' I was a late bloomer in the video game world.

17, played arcade games at the ages of 4-8, played a console from 6-present.

Probably the earliest arcade games I remember include:
-One with flying penguins. Very young, probably Balloon fight, or some clone
-A sidescroller/adventure game involving warewolves and other such monsters
-Super Mario World. I'm absolutely sure; don't know why they put it in an arcade machine

As for the consoles, I clearly remember a playstation with Shipwreckers, Skullmonkeys, and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. And the one posted by Alpha Reaper.

Crash Bandicoot ftw!!!
High Five!

The earliest console game I remember, though, is Bubble Bobble. I remember the chibi dinosaurs, bubbles, and fruit all too clearly.

Our old Windows '95 computer had a ton of games on it. Anyone remember Spy Fox [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddi_Fish]?
Also, it had a bunch of Williams Classics games like Joust, Robitron and Defender.
There was also this obscure puzzle/adventure game called Chip's Adventure. I shall now search for it and reap the memories :)

Holy shit. This Opeth song ("To Bid You Farewell", for anyone who knows Opeth) sounds like porno music. Kinda strange song, coming from a Progressive Death band.
